How to S-On my Verizon HTC One on KK 4.4.2 - Verizon HTC One (M7)

Hey guys hopefully someone can help me with this problem I'm having, my fiance had her HTC One VZW rooted with S-Off through rumrunner and due to an issue she was having with the camera we attempted to return the device to S-On status and remove root and return to stock everything went through fine but when we got the device back we realized that the bootloader says relocked but still says S-Off. The problem where having is that she wants to root it again and flash the Sense 6 Roms but when using Firewater it stops after you type in Yes because it sees that the device is S-Off. What is the correct way for me to get the device to S-On so that I can use Firewater to achieve the full unlock of the bootloader so I can install a custom recovery and install Roms? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Here's some screenahots of where I'm at now.
This shows the status of the bootloader....

And this is what firewater says once I type yes.....

You don't need to S-on again to accomplish what you want. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2470340

Thank you so much for your help i have been asking around all over for help with this your support is greatly appreciated.

You might not be currently rooted, but Scotty should be able to help you out on that thread. Maybe temp root from Weaksauce may be needed, not sure.
Post back if you reach a dead end.

It is s-off ,you won't need temp root. Just unlock the bootloader, load a recovery and flash supersu through recovery, profit.

Thanks guys I followed the thread that @xenakis sent me and I was able to Fastboot and get it to changed from locked to unlocked and seeing that it was already S-Off I was able to flash a custom recovery and SuperSU and everything is good once again ?

How were you able to flash over SU? When I try to go through the SU app it says that I cant because Im on 4.4.2

You'll need the help of HTC
Search for ZergRush, connect phone to pc via wi-fi and connect adb. After you gain root (via adb shell) you can flash whatever you want... Flashing mtd0 solved this problem when I had it.

You need just change ip in 4 row and it will work!
It easiest way to un-usb-brick.

[Q] should I wait for S-OFF?

Should I wait for S-OFF, or just unlock and add custom recov. + custom ROM?
Not very good with this stuff, so any cons by unlocking allready?
Or pros for waiting for S-OFF?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
Pros - HTC don't know what you're doing
Cons - might be waiting a while for S-OFF

Persona I see no difference in having SOFF or an unlocked bootloader...
For the end user that is... Im able to install custom roms (arhd), backup/restore via recovery & gain superuser access when using the phone...
What exactly else does SOFF give? Apart from void the warranty?
Thanks

S-OFF gives you ability to change radio etc, plus also you can return it to a locked state (as opposed to re-locked) and HTC have no record of you doing it. It's primarily a warranty concern.

thank you. now the 2nd question is how to prevent this error. unsecure bootloader?
I don't have the answer to your 2nd query. I haven't yet attempted to root my phone.
I can only suggest to try again after unbricking, or use a different rooting method...
I'll leave this question to more experienced people here.

I already posted an inquiry to another thread. hopefully there is a simple way to load an unsecure bootloader, or a simple guide.

Have you unlocked the bootloader after rooting?i know,stupid question from me,but i have to be sure. Of course you unlocked the bootloader,because otherwise root is pretty useless,since you can't flash cwm and uninstall some system apps without having those issues you mentioned.

[Q] Tethering on Lollipop

Up until now I've had no need for tethering, but now I'd like to give it a try. What's the best tethering method for Lollipop? I'm S-OFF and rooted, otherwise stock. Is this method still suggested and viable in 5.0?

With two more additional edits to the same file yes.
Change tether guard support to false.
Change VERIZON to NONE.

FWIW, I could never get this to work. I made the following changes:
TetheringGuard_Rule = 0
tethering_guard_support = false
tethering_specific = NONE
Rebooted, says the hotspot is on, but my SSID is not visible to other wifi devices.

Something else is at play then. I have flashed this ruu and made these exact mods for my buddies and all work the same as m8 and m9. My m7 also still works with these edits. Are you stock boot img too?

I'm completely stock and rooted. I went S-OFF with Sunshine, then took the Lollipop OTA.

Well as long as you are definitely using the stock tether app the only thing I can suggest is running the repair ruu and starting over (won't wipe data). You will just need to flash twrp and reflash supersu.

OEM unlock in Dev options just allows the bootloader to be unlocked.
