Can you share with the community what has to be done with this file in order to make it work, so that other people may benefit from this that have similar issues.
Thank you so much

@Harjan112 Still haven't found what changes that file however I have narrowed it to db file also I found out that samsung is all about hdmi sound so I went to best buy bought a 20 dollar docking station plugged it into my beats speaker and now the ring tone notifications are super loud when docked
Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda app-developers app

I want to know if people are getting this app to work on their phone. Couldn't really find any threads like this. I used to use my old phone in my accord and ums made it simple to show my music on the screen. I tried using this app but it doesn't seem to work in the accord. It's stuck on usb load screen. Has anyone gotten it to work in their cars and if so what model I think it might not work on all cars because it works in my dad's bimmer

200 views and 0 replies guess not as many ppl care for ums as I thought

Actually it probably has more to do with what you are using it for. I use this app and have never had a problem with it. But I have never used it to connect to my car stereo or anything like that.
Have you tried another version if the app? Maybe connectibg via bluetooth would work better?

I'm in the same page, I'm looking for a way to transfer files from my phone to my Mac. Android file transfer isn't working for me, and I hate using kies.

Have you looked onto any wireless solutions? I think you have to be rooted for most, but don't quote me on that. I use SwiFTP and love it. There are others on the market as well.

My car doesn't support a2dp the stock stereo is really nice and integrated with the rest of the dashboard so I don't wanna replace it with a new one. It's odd that the app works with my dad's car but not mine. I know it's at least reading it because when it was on mtp it would just say unsupported rather than usb load. Normally that load screen is only there for a second or 2 and starts playing immediately. I'll try another build of the app if not I guess aux cable it is although it's nice to have one cable for charge and music and have it display the song on the screen

Also try it with usb debugging on and off.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Oh good idea hopefully that fixes it

Maybe try moving a file to the parent/root directory of the external sd card to see if your car can read that?

How do I do that? You mean the root folder? Isn't that for the internal sd card also I had no luck with usb debugging. The app doesn't even seem to work with it off
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Like placing a file in the parent folder /mnt/extSdCard instead of /mnt/extSdCard/Music
What version of easy ums do you have?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Oh okay I'm using the latest one v1.7

Have you tried using the usb cable that came with the phone?
Using generic ones have caused other issues for some people.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Honestly I've tried everything lol someone said that the mtp is still there for the internal storage so the car might be trying to read that and that's why it's not working

I'm running out of ideas for ya man. Sorry.
All I can think to try now is maybe a custom kernel or another rom.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
That's the only thing I haven't tried but thanks for ur suggestions. Still puzzles me how it works in one car and not the other now ill make sure my next car has a2dp support

One more thing I just remembered! Try removing the MusicFX.apk and .odex. This helped someone else connect to a radio they were having trouble with.
Just remove from /system/app/. Then reboot thMake a backup of them first in case it doesn't help. If it does, flash dsp manager to replace it.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Just installed a new rom that already has dsp and no musicfx so I'll see if it works.btw its deodexed not odexed should I odex it there's an app for it with the rom don't really know the difference though
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
I wouldn't until you try as it is. If it doesn't work then try odexing but I doubt it'll have an effect.

I just got beats audio on my phone using the beats installer app. I first tested it out on my old phone and the sound was crazy good. Don't see a huge difference on my note but its noticeable. Has anyone else tried it for themselves too? Also, is there a way to store my nandroid backups on my computer since it takes up so much memory.
Yes I know these are two totally different questions but I dont want to clutter up the q & a board

Where can I find this beats audio flashable zip?

Just connect your phone to your computer and copy over the TWRP folder from your internal or sd card (where ever you backup to.)
I use the beats audio installer from the play store and it works great, especially in conjuction with the boost in stweaks
Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda app-developers app
The note 2 doesn't have a beats enabled kernel, if I'm not mistaken.

Beeats Audio App can be installed here

Thanks so would it be completely safe to just copy the folder and delete it from internal memory until I want and or need to it to which I transfer it to my phone again?

Does this happen to anyone else?
The phone is set to silent, and while just sitting on a desk, the phone IS silent. Once I plug in my headset though, it reverts to audible notifications for ringtone, emails, texts, etc... and interrupts playback. The phone still shows that it is on silent, but it's not. Anyone else having this issue? It's not a "rooted" issue, I don't think, because it happened to me before I rooted. I'm not in need of an immediate fix, but it is a little annoyance.

Why would you link him to a thread without an answer? To show him other people have the same issue?

Probably because it's the same question. Now with 2 threads.

I think you can set separate settings when something is plugged into the headphone jack. Just set it to silent while you have headphones plugged in and it will remember. Pretty sure that's right, someone correct me otherwise.
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda app-developers app
That's the whole point of both threads, this is not happening. Its set to silent and it keeps going off when a notification arrives.
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda app-developers app
Ok I have a Bluetooth that can stream music but it's one thing annoying.. When I get a text the phone and Bluetooth plays the notification ring tones.. Is there a way to just get it thru the Bluetooth only while paired..?

Bump

You pair your phone to xmit audio then complain when it does that? Turn your notis off or dont be surprised when something woeks properly
