[Q] Relock Bootloader - Warranty - Huawei Ascend P6, Mate

Hey guys,
I´m new in this forum so I hope I write everything right..
Due to a broken vibration motor I need to send in my Ascend P6.
For that I flashed the phone back to stock ROM B125 and original recovery.
Than I tried to relock the bootloader via fastboot ("fastboot oem relock UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU") but it always says:
...
FAILED (remote: relock OK, but resecure failure)
and the bootloader is still unlocked.
So my questions would be:
1. Is there a chence to relock the bootloader of the Ascend P6?
2. The phone is just 2 month old, will I have any warranty problems if I send it in or doesn´t it matter at all?
Thanks guys
Edit:
Now I´m stuck in the Huawei Logo. The phone isn´t recoqnised by the PC and I can´t get into recovery since Volume + and - pressing isn´t working anymore......is is bricked, any ideas?
Edit 2
Solved to get in fastboot mode but I can´t flash any (stock, twrp) recovery:
writing `recovery`
FAILED (remote: flash failure, ErrNo:2)

Anyone? I can´t switch off my phone ´cause it´s in this fastboot-loop...thx

Try to flash stock recovery again and then 3 buttons method or directly 3 buttons. When that don't work maybe try with TWRP.

I managed to install the recovery again.by unlocking the bootloader via the.known commands.
But the 2 questions remain so I'm thankful for help:
1. Is there a chance to relock the bootloader of the Ascend P6?
2. The phone is just 2 month old, will I have any warranty problems if I send it in or doesn´t it matter at all?

I don't think that will be a problem because some phones are unlocked by default, you can try the lock command or flash B125 with 3 buttons methods maybe it relock but not sure.

I flashed the official B125 already and the bootloader is unlocked by default. The relock code I found in the internet (fastboot oem relock UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU) doesn´t work. Maybe one can not relock the bootloader on the Ascend P6..?
Do you know for sure that the bootloader is unlocked in B125?

The bootloader is unlocked, but encrypted. That's normal.

Ok than I suppose I can send it in for the warranty.

G4 Bootloader Relock?

Hi all, I need to relock the bootloader, flashing back stock MM or LP didn't solve the issue for me, neither hard resetting, bootloader is still unlocked and the message appears on every start in the high left corner.
Can You help relock or it's impossible for now please?
It's not possible to relock once it's unlocked. It does tell you this when u unlock it.

thanks for the answer, I did not remember that message. Strange for me that noone found or searched a method to relock for selling the phone :good:
Getting it relocked is the only way to send it back for warranty claim. I wasn't able to get it recognized by my computer so that I can run fastboot comands on it - the right one is ./fastboot oem lock

Did you use the proper fastboot.exe? What OS is your computer? If it's windows try these.
It seems that in order to get fastboot operational, you need to have a working bootloader. So, after a couple (hundred) of tries - DO NOT FLASH KDZ (REFURBISH) your LG G4, it still boots once in a while and if it has your account and data and it will be faster to get to fastboot mode and get the bootloader locked again. Can somebody confirm that you can execute "fastboot oem lock" on an unlocked device? This will save us a lot of time trying to get the device to that state...
for me it is impossibile. If you have a g4 with bootloader locked and you doing fastboot oem unlock it says that it is no possibile...you must follow the instructions that lg provides with file unlock.bin
So is impossibile relock bootloader with fastboot oem lock...I hope that anyone find the way to do it...
Well unfortunately it is not posible to lock the bootloader via "fastboot oem lock" I'm waiting for user @warloxfre for some more info on his ideas (fingerscrossed)

oneplus 3 bootloader relocking

I was installed with Twrp and had rooted my oneplus 3.
I unticked root access in supersu.
Booted to bootloader and typed on my pc in command prompt ,"Fastboot oem lock"
This gave a confirmation on my device,I confirmed locking.
And after that my device did not booted up.I managed to get in bootloader again as I was not even able to open the recovery and unlocked the bootloader once again by this my device booted up.
I flashed stock recovery and repeated the relocking process, this time I was able to open recovery also but no able to boot up.
I again unlocked the bootloader and installed twrp back turned my device up.
Then I unchecked oem unlocking under developer options.
Relocked the bootloader once again.
And now I am stuck at bootloader, not able to unlock it even this time as I turned off oem unlocking.
Now I can only open bootloader.
Please help!
thanks in advance
There is a thread about Hard Brick fixing.
Normally it should work it's using low level tools.
I just can't understand this obsession to relock, there is absolutely no need to and can lead easily to a cold brick.

Weird bootloader behavior ... please help !!

Hello guys am basically a Noob when it comes to the new android 6.0+ security system that google included which changed the bootloader unlocking and rooting process a lil bit from the standert ( fastboot oem unlock ... fastboot flash twrp ... flash super su and voila )
let's get to my probleme with my nexus 5x when i unlocked the bootloader with the tool the device has to reboot but everytime i reboot i have to unlock my bootloader again the root works fine but the bootloader keeps getting locked everytime ... problem is that i messed with the boot img in order to disable forced encryption and now i can't flash stock because during the flashing the bootloader has to reboot and gets locked which make the flashing fails ... am on android nougat 7.0 if that matter and if someone have the 6.0.1 (mtc20k) boot image for noforce encrypte please share with me and thanks
You can update manually by flashing the different parts separately using fastboot commands. That way you can skip rebooting after flashing bootloadet

I have the same problem. Bootloader gets relocked every time i reboot. Could not install cm14.1, i just get i bootloop (tried with latest twrp and vendor). Went back to stock with the seperate fastboot commands. It works but really annoying that the bootloader wont stay locked. It worked before i sent the phone to service (emmc problem) and got the motherboard changed. Is there a problem with the bootloader or is it a hardware problem?
Sounds like a HW problem, RMA it again.

Yeah thats what im thinking too. But what do i claim as the issue? Is a non unlockable bootloader a warranty issue? Bought it unlocked from a store.

Ask Google (you can open up a chat with them for example on https://support.google.com/nexus/answer/4582729?hl=en&ref_topic=6023296#contact=1 or other links), for me it's a clear issue, you have the right to unlock the bootloader, however not sure how to demonstrate a problem if you bought it on a store...
All phones that come back from service do so in that state. Seems it's a decision from LG. If you go to bootloader you'll probably see that is says "no rpmb" right after secure boot. This is what is causing the issue, from what I know it is because a certain portion is not flashed on the motherboard replacement
The same happend to me, e-mailed the service center asking why they did this but they never reply

Your device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and will not boot

Hi friends
Please give me suggestion or guide how to solve problem about handset booting after mistakenly handset OEM locked through fastboot
It enter to fastboot mode but not going to recovery mode or restart in system mode
Is there any solution
If yes then please help me
fastboot oem unlock ?
Actually ive unlocked OEM and install twrp recovery and installed freedom os
Then while checking OEM status ive enter command fastboot OEM lock
It ask me I've pressed yes after that the massage is came after restart as your device is corrupt it can't be trusted and will not boot
After that it enter to fastboot but not going to recovery mode or system
While type command in fastboot OEM unlock massege come failed
This happens because your bootloader has been unlocked at one time. There is no going back, even if you use "fastboot oem lock" later.
Edit: Just noticed the part about your device will not boot. You need to find the system image and flash it. I read somewhere today that OnePlus just released the system image for 4.7.4.
Can you unlock again?
@op, IMHO the best possible solution will be to flash stock rom image and stock recovery if required but I think when you flash stock image it will also flash stock recovery.
When you turn off the phone and boot it with VOLUME UP plus POWER, this should send you straight away to Fastboot. Try if you can unlock again, otherwise... bad luck - you'll need a restore session with 1+.

Not to be unrespectful, but you're wrong, it is absolutely possible to relock bootloader without problems.
IMHO, trouble happened because he had a custom rom onboard... and a locked bootloader does exactly its purpose... to not boot insecure firmware!

After looking into it further, I agree with you. That's what I get for having a bootloader-locked Samsung device for two years. I must be getting rusty!
Yes, the bootloader can be re-locked. There may still be a tamper flag as with previous OnePlus devices. But having a locked bootloader with non-OEM software would likely cause the problem he is describing. So, he needs to flash the factory image from bootloader.
I've requested to 1+support for restore remote session
Support send me file link and l2 will assist me in within 2 days
DO NOT RELOCK BOOTLOADER UNLESS U READ UP FIRST!!!!!, its worth just waiting the few seconds after reboot, then to go and try to relock the bootloader
I've restored oneplus 5t through remote session
it become as company new mobile
After that OEM also unlock
Thanks oneplus supports.

Have you dumpling files and MSM download tools for oneplus 5t
If you have then restore op5t after success it work as new mobile.
But you can get basic dumpling file from oneplus support remote session.
You have to create ticket and chat with oneplus support

Did you by any chance re-lock the bootloader with a custom recovery and custom ROM flashed?
It's because of custom recovery.
Just flash stock recovery image before locking the bootloader.
This fixed for me.

You unlocked bootloader, flashed rom (custom) and relocked bootloader? Never lock your bootloader on a custom rom! Just enter fastboot again flash twrp (manual/force reboot recovery), copy internal storage to pc then wipe/format everything. Format data. Factory reset then flash latest official rom and reboot

[Help] Bootloop With Locked Bootloader

Hello there,
I'm having a complicated issue and i wish someone really could help me.
My A2 lite is totally brick and stuck on bootloop .. i tried the below with no luck
1- EDL Mode using test points then flashing using MiFlash .. still being in bootloop
2- Fastboot commands can't be used as bootloader is locked
3- Fastboot unlock (OEM unlock is not allowed)
4- Can't boot to TWRP
5- Tried to apply update from SD Card .. update applied with still the same issue
I appreciate if you could assist me with this issue
Any update on your problem?
ıt seems your phone is in a better shape than mine; I have a Mi A1, and it doesn't flash at all, because of the EDL auth requirement. Only MiFlashBeta "appears" to flash it, but I highly doubt if it actually writes anything to phone.
