I have a problem with three apps closing by themselves and causing me grief. They are UDN pro (to hide my nav), LMT (for the cool pie thingy) and Power Toggles (because it's great.).
So what seems to happen is they randomly close during the day, which i don't want because I've hidden my nav bar and without one of these apps I can't get back to home screen to open them back up again.
Any help appreciated.

To hide and / or replace the navigation buttons on Xperia M I would like to recommend GMD AutoHide Soft Keys.
I have installed it and it works perfect
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/themes-apps/root-gmd-autohide-soft-keys-t2253770
It is highly customizable
You can set the bar that appears when you slide from the bottom and hide by tapping the side
This lets you use the phone with the slightly larger screen
regards
Nice
Works great
Thanks for the tip. One problem I keep having is hitting the home key instead of the space bar while texting. Very annoying! I will try this app and see if I can solve this problem and report back.
Edit: Okay, after a few hours playing with it (pro version) here are my experiences with it with Xperia M:
1) Changed my wallpaper without asking
2) Removed alarm notification from top notification tray, had to reset (turn off then on) my alarms to get it back
3) Removed battery percentage symbol from top notification tray, had to toggle it off and on in settings to get it back
4) "Spoof Soft Keys" option does nothing. What's it supposed to do? I am assuming it would make a clear space where the regular softkeys would be in effect pushing everything back up but toggling that option does nothing at all.
5) The quickbar does not work (cannot be swiped or tapped into view) when the far right icon "Recent Apps Button" is selected. You have to tap somewhere on the screen in order to back get out of recent apps view (the small apps launcher is probably too blame)
6) The selectable Xperia icons in the app are not the same as our Xpermia M icons
Edit 2
7) App doesn't work automatically on reboot with Xperia M. I had to actually click on its icon to get it to work again after a reboot. No good, uninstalled it
theres an alternative for hide nav bar, using UDN lite

Yes, after two days of testing UDN is working fine for me too. Just sucks that you have to install a seperate module (Xposed) to make it work

You can use build.prop to hide the soft key navigator, so Xposed is no need. But I don't like this method, this seems to be a pain when undo if this UDN suddenly stop working
This can easily accomplish through xposed. but somehow xposed causes serious performance issues with lags to my G3. I tried it twice, yet xposed is not gonna work well. Does anyone know a way to assign last app switch to a nav bar key. (like, long press on notification pull key or back key)
Can we do this by editing "usr/keylayout" files(root)
I tried paid apps for app switching but non of them are productive.
If anyone know a way to do this without xposed please help me out! Thank you!
Hi folks,
Any suggestions for keeping the nav and status bars on in apps which go full-screen, or simply for disabling full-screen altogether? I tried all the full-screen related apps in the market, with no luck... Rooted with magisk, and reverted to old, 3 button nav bar.
Cheers!
no one?
STUPid hidden buttons... aaaaaaaargh...
All in all I have no problems with Pie, except for the BIG one. The new gesture control is pulled from Satan's bottom (and as a Norwegian black metal fan I know everything about that orifice!) - in K9 I rearrange my inbox every time I want to go to the home screen, and back button messes with stuff on my own home automation websites. Like turning on the radio in the bedroom when my wife's sleeping. Not a popular mistake... And on Oreo I was so glad to use the auto-hide buttons so I could have stuff full screen and still have normal navigation. Is there any way to get that back in Pie, the way it was?

+1 ... this seems to be a race to release something half-designed out into the open to see it smothered by the crowd ... the navigation is the one BIG issue that many are reporting; the auto-hide and slide to view navigation bar of S9/+ Orea is just great and must not have been redesigned ... anyways the closest an alternative is to choose the gesture navigation option and then disable the hints at the bottom of the settings page ... this way the navigation bar is hidden ... but it's not as intuitive/good as the Oreo NavBar ... ( Settings -> Display -> Navigation Bar -> ... )
and one interesting feature ... touch the home button and slide right ... hmm that is nice ... try it ...
Yeah, but as I said it's too easy to miss and do something unwanted instead of the gesture from the bottom. For me it' a race to be fancy, like the iSheep...
So the recent apps disappear after each split screen on nova launcher. And the only way to bring the recent apps back after a split screen is to restart my phone or switch to emui 9.0
Do I have an option set to make it act like that or is this some kind of bug?
Someone please help ?
