1. Am I in the right forums?! (Before I start flashing)
2. Would I need to follow the steps in order to get a token ID ? ... Or can I just flash a recovery then root? (Since it's the Developer Edition)
3. The order I need to do things in would be Flash a recovery(TWRP) then Perm Root correct?
Thanks any replies would be greatly appreciated

What does bootloader unlocked means....???
It means you can flash some stuff like ROMs and recoveries that are not from HTC.

You're in the correct forum, check the development section and general section for the guide.

With relocked bootloader he will not be able to flash boot.img and recovery. First flash stock boot and recovery. Then relock bootloader and then you can apply ota update.

OTA only works in a clean stock ROM. The reason why it stop halfway is because it can't find the file it need to patch.
Only if you have a nandroid backup for your stock rom which should be a clean stock ROM and restore that, then OTA will work.

Yes, if S-Off you can flash directly from the device itself, using CWM etc.
Are you sure you have an S-Off HOX? If so Lucky you !!
People have been searching for S-Off on HOX for a long time now, with no result !
Unlocking with htcdev doesn't give you s-off so you will still need to flash the boot.img with fastboot

Hey, I have an HTC one x and I relocked the bootloader, but every time I try to install an update it takes me to the bootloader plz help me out, btw I don't have a custom rom
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
If you already relocked your bootloader and cannot upgrade, then try with installng last RUU, corresponded to you CID number and then try to upgrade.
Maybe during the time you had unlocked device you uninstalled some of the preinstall apps, and now this doesn't allow you to upgrade.
Regards.

Just checking you have gone back to stock recovery??
Umm no I haven't.. Trying to figure out how
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Find the correct file for your phone,
Use command fastboot flash recovery recovery.img (recovery.img is replaced with the name of file you are using.)
Stock recovery back for ota.
Check out a few of the guides, will walk you through anything pretty much
Friends I got a new desire hd,I have few please clarify it
1.is there ány other way to unlock the bootloader other than HTC dev official one.
2.first should I flash root the device or first should I install CWM?
3.whether can I install custom Rom while the phone is s-on or it should be s-off?
Sent from my C6603 using xda app-developers app
1. You can manually S-Off it, but note that that is for advanced users.
2. I don't understand this question.
3. You can install custom ROMs with an S-On unlocked bootloader, but you need to flash the boot.img from fastboot each time.
That's ok I will flash boot.img through fastboot,if I did s-off what are benefits that I am going to enjoy
Sent from my C6603 using xda app-developers app
Can u provide the easy way to root and install CWM or suggest me ány link to do it,but that one should be safe
Sent from my C6603 using xda app-developers app
Easy Ace Root Tool. And read the Ace Think Tank thread for any other questions.
What are the benefits of doing S-off

Can flash radios, do not need to flash the boot.img.

Getting a red triangle when updating
Stock recovery
Stock Nandroid
stock boot.img
Am thinking this Rom might not be completely stock.
edit
it has superSU
So the update is failing because its a stock Rooted rom.. Why would the guy upload a nandroid and call it stock when its not.
Root is not the issue. It updates fine with root acces.
Did you flash the stock recovery after restoring. The recovery from the nand is not the stock one
https://www.dropbox.com/s/xzshnnuz3jdcodv/stock recovery 3.14.img
Try that one

Hmm perform a factory reset from the bootloader and try once more. If it fails after that the nand is not stock enough

Good idea where would the file be located? I looked on the SD card and find no download.
Hmm download it again via the update menu and choose to install later. Then it should be on the sdcard.

Whats the method for updating the Hboot without OTA?? never done it before.
Put the phone in the fastboot usb mode. Take the firmware.zip from the ota and put it in the fastboot folder on the pc.
Open the command window and relock the bootloader
Fastboot oem lock
Fastboot oem RebootRUU
Fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
Unlock the bootloader and install a clean new rom via a new custom recovery.
I recommend philz 5.15
