Is there an S-OFF tool / method for the M8 Vodafone Australia edition and also a Tampered writing remover?
No s-off tool yet.
I'm not sure if it will be possible to remove the tampered writing even if we get s-off?

Well someone did it. The app is something like guru boot loader tampered remover or something with guru in it for the HTC one

It's about the M8 so this forum is the right one... but the Guru I was talking about is for the HTC One not M8. I was saying if it can be done on the HTC One then it should be able to be done on the M8 as well
I'm waiting for the s-off tools for m8 now, too:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

Hello,
I want to root my OneX, but i wanna know what a great bootloader is.
Because there are many many developers one XDA- so it is difficuilt to find the best/safest boodloader.
I wanna install themes etc...
You either have a locked or unlocked bootloader, don't understand what you're asking.

There are no custom bootloaders. The original hboot is the only one unless we find a way to S-Off.

When I was rooted I'd find the update.zip and flash within the custom recovery.
So I updated and it seems like the radios perform the same.
My note 3 would keep a weak LTE signal inside my house 99% of the time while this switches to hspa as soon as I use it lol

Make sure you flash the stock recovery back to your phone. It will not install over a custom recovery. I just downloaded and installed whilst bootloader unlocked and rooted.
Anyone report on anything new with the update?
