LG ks20 - lost IMEI after flashing

Hallo,
I'm new in the forum, i was advised to register here in order to try and find solution to a problem my ks20 has after flashing a rom.
I tried today for the first time to flash a rom in my new ks20(i bought it yesterday used with cooked rom on), i followed this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=369481.
When my phone tried to open, after flashing, this message came up "illegal use unavailable OTP Block".So i flashed another rom in order for the phone to open. With the new rom it opened but it had lost IMEI number and cannot connect with any phone network.
I have made a nv backup with LGMDP but when i try to use LGMDP to restore it i have the same message as before "illegal use unavailable OTP Block" when the phone turns on.
I tried with different roms branded and unbranded. I also tried this http://www.myphone.gr/forum/showthread.php?t=181820&page=360
I dont know what went wrong, nv backup procedure was complete, why do you think that nv backup is not good? I am ready to through the phone away
Maybe you can provide me a solution or another nv backup with my imei ( as i read somewhere in here) if the one i have made is not good.

LGMDP_EURO that i used to change the rom created two folders: one is called NvBackup and the other folder is named with my imei number, i used both .nv2 files that are included is these folders but every time the result after restoring was the message "illegal use unavailable OTP Block".
I don't know what to do!
Please if anybody has a clue

what rom did you last install?
Was it the branded or unbranded version?

The last rom was Greece Vodafone 10g it is branded.
The problem when i tried to install a cooked rom which i think it awas also branded.
My phone is vodafone branded

did you restore your nv2 in emergency mode?

no i installed a new rom (so that the phone could turn on ok even with wrong imei) and i tried to restore with the phone turned on

shut down your phone, start emercency mode(press : "Send" "Browser" "Power") a green led will shine on your mobile and connect it, and try to restore your back up nv2

how can i do that from emergency mode? i don't have "nv Default" option, also there is no "reset database & contents"

If not give rickou26 your imei number and ask him to make you a backup nv2 file.

use the program MTTY because it's only USB or has unlock without backup (like me) and has still bluetooth activated car solve the imei and bd address problem with that (should be works with usb cable also) :
1) get the phone recognized by windows and activate modem serial port interface
bluetooth perifs-> properties -> services -> check the 2 boxs
3) start -> programs -> accesories -> communication -> hyperterminal ->
set a name and modem port (should be found in step 1)
'call' (yellow phone)
4) type "AT" (without quotes) should see "OK"
5) type ATZ (activate echo)
6) AT%IDDE to unlock
7) AT%IMEI=X,X,X,X, ....
(15 chars) replace X by IMEI code or what you want
8) AT%BTAD=X,X,x,x,x,x ...
(12 chars from 0x0 ->0xF) same for bluetooth address, warning : the digits are in little endian (inversed)
9) switch off and on and the bluetooth should work again without asking for BD address
this method has worked for a KU380 only by bluetooth without install third party program to backup or repair and should works for other phones

Hey, XDA-Devs I need some help. I been trying to use this tool to reinject my Imei because I lost it. I have no service, and btw I am not a developer or anything. The tool I was using is
[FIX/TOOL] Backup/Restore/Fix IMEI & Data Restore Tool v3.0 - Updated 11/01/2012!!!
and I am stuck at where It says
Click the Hex Check Box. The Hex values for your IMEI will consist of no more than 2 characters per a box and must match your IMEI or it will not take the values you enter. The IMEI is also listed in a special order so you must follow this guide to ensure your IMEI is correct.
The first box will always be an 8.
Example if your IMEI was: 954091051099226then the boxes would look like so:

Never ever post your imei on a post or anywhere infact. That's like the identity of your phone. Please remove it off your post. The guide that you got this info from will help you. Please read it again.

LG G3 D852 need .qcn file

Hi all,
I restored /patched wrong qcn file to my LG G3 D852 that I found online. now my phone doesn't register to network.
its look like network keep resetting. I do have backup of my original file but when I tried to restore gives me error
"Received an invalid command from the phone." please help me to filx this error.

update1:
finally I was able to change IMEI to 0, I replaced following field in 12.4.gold.orj.qcn file
fields
'starting from 1A48 to 1A50' replaced with 00
starting 1AD88 to 1AD90' replaced with 00
now my IMEI is 00, but when I tried to replace above field with my original imei file didn't restore gives same error 'phone return unknown command'
do I need to also update serial # field, does any one know which filed I replace for serial #?
I found above imei filed by converting imei to hex format and searched in qcn file. since I don't know serial # of the phone (12.4.gold.orj.qcn file came from)

Lost IMEI after flashing stock ROM

I know that many people are having this problem and I hope we can find a solution here together.
I've already tried many things to restore my IMEI, a little background:
- Lost my IMEI when I flashed stock rom to unroot the phone.
- Tried flashing different firmwares (LATAM, RETBR, I think they are the same).
- I don't have an EFS Backup.
When I dial *#06#* my IMEI is shown as "0", when I use "mfastboot getvar all" or "mfastboot getvar imei" I can still see my correct IMEI (as shown on the phone box).
On CQATest the only error that I can see is right on the IMEI tab:
Phone ICCID Compare with SIM ICCID: ERROR
Anyone can suggest something that might correct this problem? I don't think anything could make it worse and I'm willing to try everything...
EDIT: Obviously, I can't connect to my mobile network.

This is why I didn't even unlock mine so far.seems many have had this issue

I've seen some people saying that this can occur after flashing fsg and modem plus erasing modemst1 and modemst2.
If I knew that before I could have flashed the stock rom without touching on this images, I don't think it would make any difference.

From my past moto experience always avoid flashing bootloaders & modems, system files can be flashed without any issues in most circumstances. The only change would be if there's a major update that requires bootloaders and modem images.
As a rule, wait before flashing firmware on a moto phone, I've witnessed people hard bricking their devices flashing bootloaders, downgrading from a updated bootloader is playing with fire in my past experience.

I've flashed the entire room including the bootloader and modems more than a hundred times (no joke here) trying to fix my problem, only to realize I had lost my IMEI.
What make me think that I can still recover my lost IMEI is that on the fastboot if I write "mfastboot getvar imei" it's still there with the same number that came on the box.

Obviously something went wrong, my past experience with flashing the full firmware package you are playing with fire.

My phone also stucked at imei 0, wat to do is there any solution

Solution for IMEI 0 caused by broken efs partition is easy: Restore your backup of efs partition.
For the case not the efs partition is damaged but the reading process does not get the efs contents right, do a backup of current efs before any further action if there is any small chance the contents is not damaged.
If you don't have a backup of efs and it is still empty/broken after flashing a standard stock rom, you can contact Lenovo for help. May get expensive, they usually replace the mainboard. They should have the possibility to generate a new key for the efs partition, but my guess is that they are afraid doing so may harm security of that key. It probably is cheaper to replace the mainboard than buying a new device, but not by much. You may consider using the device with IMEI 0 as mediaplayer/small tablet without mobile functionality, and buy a new one.
Are you aware of any change you did to the efs partition?

My imei is 0 but still i can connect to mobile data. Hmmm i dont know what is happening here

I think without the EFS Backup the only way to restore is send to authorized assitance to change the mother board. Sorry for bad news

I have been doing some research lately and discovered some interesting things that may help you in a way or another, the imei value state is written at efs partition, value which can be located from RV_NV_Manager tool (this one is part from QPST suite from Qualcomm), since this tool is known for having the IMEI changing property, i can't post the link, but Google maybe is a good place to start looking for it.
Here are the steps you can do to recover your imei:
-Write down your imei.
-Start some computer with internet, using windows.
-Find, download and install QPST and Qualcomm HS-USB Drivers.
-Once installed, you must turn off your phone and restart it in the bootloader
-Select QCOM tab and select, then wait until it boots completely, then plug your phone at your computer, some drivers must be starting to install, let it finish (it isn't necessary to reboot after this).
-Open QPST Configuration and go to Ports > Add new port...
-Open Device Manager and look for Qualcomm COM ports connected, then in QPST Ports screen write the COMXX in both fields and close, you should see a connected unknown phone and some ? At some fields, that's just normal.
-Open RV_NV_Manager without closing QPST Configuration, some downloading bar should appear with a screen, just let it finish, and then head down to line number 5xx, it says some IMEI_NV or something like that, if you press 9 text fields in boxes should appear at right hand, select hex values at some checkbox there.
-Look to where you written the imei and now it's the tricky part:
Your imei looks like 874356324678338 (just an example), then you must split them by pairs in this way:
x8 | 74 | 35 | 63 | 24 | 67 | 83 | 38 (since imei has 15 numbers, the first one will go alone with an unknown value)
Then just switch numbers by pairs:
8x | 47 | 53 | 36 | 42 | 76 | 38 | 83
Then start filling the boxes in this way:
1st.- 8 (always)
Then put the numbers in pairs in order and replace the 'x' with an 'a':
2nd.- 8a
3rd.- 47
4th.- 53
And so on...

I have only RF NV [Items only] and COM3 and COM 5 is connected. I select port 5 and read all items but I can't find NV_IMEI only under "read supported RF NV Items" at Number 550 is a NV_UE_IMEI_I ... but is this the right?

LG G3 D855 Repair ESN 00000000 with QPST

Hello XDA!
I wanna share mini tutorial about repair ESN with QPST
1. Rooted
2. Diag Mode (for MM D855, connect as charging, dial *#546368#*855#, USB - Port Check Test ENABLE - Qmicm Set OK) will search the driver called CRC SERIAL PORT and you will see in Device Manager you LG G3 called QUALCOMM/ALCATEL DIAG and MODEM
3. Connect to QPST - Start Client - Software Download - Backup (Will be name as your ESN and format file will be called .qcn)
4. Format partition FSG, MODEMST1, and MODEM ST2 ( see this article http://www.androidbrick.com/qualcomm-snapdragon-imei-tamiri-ders-4-qualcomm-snapdragon-imei-repair/)
5. Now edit your broken qcn that containn 00000000 ESN with HEX editor
ESN LG G3 (D855)
QCN address (have 3 address)
1680-1603
31208-3120B
1C708-1C70B
How to know your ESN?
Go to this site http://www.meidconverter.com/
Put your MEID (imei that deleted last numbers 11111111111111"2")
you will get your ESN called "Pseudo Hex ESN" contain charater and number (8 digit)
and put them to your QCN that contain "Good Signal and Detect Sim"
example:
Pseudo Hex ESN 80C45910 put to hex in reverse 1059C480

6. Save your qcn, and restore it with QPST
7. DONE
note: for everybody who have backup qcn from your normal LG G3, please sent to me. i have 2 LG G3 that have problem that didn't detect SIM Card and Signal. I need qcn from normal LG G3 Verizon V985 and LG G3 D855.
