I have been using my T-Mobile Note 3 on Att since I bought it. I have also been using an Att Note 3 ROM (KnoxRaid) 4.4.2 with madmacks Tmobile kit Kat kernel which is the only remnant of T-Mobile on my phone, necessary of course in order for the ROM to run. My phone runs Awesome!! Only thing that force closes is Security under General Settings. Yes we can Run ATT roms on our phone as long as we use the corresponding T-Mobile kernel. If anyone can figure this settings /security force close, it would be greatly appreciated! !

I have he ATT Samsung note 2 i-317. I want to know if it would be bad if I wanted to flash the T-Mobile Miui Rom. I wouldn't care if I couldn't use LTE since I rarely use it. Would anything go bad if I flashed the rom?

As long as its for the T-Mobile note2 you should be fine. Fine as in it shouldn't brick you. You may have to adjust APN or maybe even flash a att note2 aosp kernel to get things working right. Let us know how it goes

Here you go
That one has a little bit of problems. The T-Mobile miui is said to not have those problems. I tried the AT&T one already :/

I was just wondering can i flash verizon roms on tmobile?
Far as the forums indicate, you can flash any of the quad core phones ROM but you might need to set up the APN manually

Flash verizon rom then flash tmobile csc file then tmobile kernel ..then enjoy

So I just switched to t mobile and got a new note 3, coming from a Verizon note 2. I went to check unknown sources box and it's Grey and can't be checked. Does anyone know why? I even looked on my wife's new gs4 and unknown sources can be checked. I'm planning on rooting, I've just been doing my research on the whole knox bs. I've had a lot of android devices starting with the original DROID and they've all been rooted custom roms and tweaks. I'm no expert, but I know my way around android devices. Thanks for the help.

Update, I rooted and still grey. Any ideas, anyone have this problem?

If I were you, i would install a custom ROM and go from there.
If you want to stay stock, try flashing the stock deodexed ROM. Should work after that.
Sent from my SM-N900T using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I might do that. Do all the note 3's come with that box uncheckable, or did i get a weird one?
Thanks.

No problems here. Complete Stock. Unrooted.

So im guessing were not gonna see a KitKat TW rom for our still wonderful Note 2 device? Pretty sure samsung already has it but are just not releasing it on purpose so we just buy the note 3 or s5.

It is really poking an open wound when I go into the the other Note 2 variant forums and see all these kit kat tw roms and themes and so forth. I get so depressed. I need to flash somethinggggggggg!! Lol

Recently flashed W03 SlimKat and it's awesome. Fantastic KK Rom.
International version is getting it now..all the carrier versions are always going to be late/delayed.....I'm just waiting for a rooted version of the OTA to come out.
Its not up to samsung. Updates are from Google and the carrier.

Correction: Samsung still needs to add Touchwiz and the "S" features to whatever Google produces way before the carriers even get to cripple features by adding bloatware.
Yes, as you said, samsung adds whatever they want, then at&t decides if a phone model gets an update, so, as others have said, its up to the carrier. Google decides if the processor of the phone continues to get support.

I realize there are Kit Kat roms already but those are ASOP not Touchwiz roms. But thank you for your input.

I've interpreted this to mean that you are saying that the official release is the 26th, but a leak may appear days before.
Does anyone know if DG tweeted anything to say otherwise?
If we get kitkat I could definitely hold onto my Note 2 for another year and not use my upgrade yet.

I suggest S5 because its features are more better then note 3
^^^with all that being said, you still can't beat the convenience of having the S-Pen for the Note3
I unlocked my T-Mobile Note 2 and successfully changed carrier to Straight Talk using AT&T cell. My question is once the Kitkat update rolls out, do I have to install a T-Mobile rom or an AT&T rom? Or is there any alternative? Please advise.

Doesn't matter. AT&T or N7105 are fine. Stick to the T-Mobile modem and the rest is details. The AT&T & N7105 communities are fairly active.
Hastily spouted for your befuddlement
Am I interpreting this correctly, that you can just flash the att rom for a N7105 on the t889?

This morning I had some problems with my phone, so I had to reset the phone and reinstall everything. Thus far everything is good, I am more interested to know about AT&T rom on note 2, can we install it?
Sent from my SGH-T889 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
as long as the rom doesn't flash a new bootloader or modem (only a few do). you can flash at&t or n7105 roms
Nice to know... Thanks
