There seem to be a number of ways to restore back to stock. LG launcher, LGNPST , LG flash tool ? Which one works the good in most cases ?
I'd have to say, in most cases, Lg Flash Tools is the best way to get back to out-of-the-box stock.
Cool, thanks

Like many of you I haved rooted, unlocked with FreeGee and installed many custom ROMs on my LG Optimus G.
Now I decided to go back to STOCK ROM, I followed this GUIDE to flash KDZ, everything worked OK, phone works like it has to.
So if everything works what are the problems, well ... I have some questions for you:
1. Many of you are writing in the forum that after flashing the KDZ the phone will revert back completly to stock. Will it revert bootloader back to stock too?
2. If the answer of above question is that it will revert back to stock, then in this forum someone says that bluetooth gets its MAC adress from bootloader. Why my bluetooth MAC still begins with 41:4E ? Is this one of the compromises when you unlock the bootloader?
3. Is it possible that in flashing KDZ guide I did something that will not flash the bootloader?
4. Is there a way to fix bluetooth MAC adress?
Thanks in advance for your answers.
So I flashed an unofficial build of CM12, literally hours before the official version came out, and now I want to go back to LG's stock software KK 4.4.2. But I'm new to flashing so I just watched a youtube video on flashing CM12 and did it. Now I can find no way to go back. I did try to use the LGflashtool, but my DL failed. Also, I'm not sure what my build number is. I think it's LG D855 10l but I'm not too sure because when I got he phone it was in English and not from India as the 10l suggests. I also have TWRP installed. I did no backup's or recovery, but the original software should still be in the internal memory right?
So what do I do guys? Did I goof?

The original software is gone, its not saved anywhere on the phone.
You need to find your stock file and flash it with the lg flash tool, its the only way to get back to stock in your situation.
Sorry, but I won't be able to help beyond that.

Well, thanks for the tip
At this point, it seems like I'd be better off keeping CM12 for a little while, no? I don't have the time or hear to fix this right now
My LG G4 is stuck in boot loop however without a .tot for big core disable on 6.0 MM i'll need to downgrade to 5.1.
Can i use the Upgrade function on LGUP to just go over the system files?
When looking at downgrade guides they state to back up files "Incase you lose them". The wording gives me the feeling that it doesn't go over the photos etc... but best to back them up. but of course in this case i can't get into the phone.
Thanks
Hi guys,
I just want to know if it is safe to go back from ZUI-2.5.334(Chinese) to 2.0.093(Indian)
I do not have any custom recovery or root, i am planing to go back using QFIL.
this link if it is helpful.
http://thinkflag.blogspot.in/2017/04/lenovo-z2-plus-official-nougat-update.html
I rolled up with QPST and it was fine, i am now with the Indian ROM (ZUI 2.0.093). These Chinese phones are amazing hard brick is a joke with them (on LG and Samsung its a nightmare trust me. I had a really long nightmare with LG phones especially the G2 where you need to short pins on the motherboard and with the famous LG G4 where i was inventing a solution :crying: :crying: :crying: )
In my opinion, you unlock bootloader first, then you flash custom recovery. Now, you can flash any rom over recovery.
Hi I've always tinkered with my phones but with the One Plus 7t Pro nothing ever gave me a reason to root until now (quick step) but so far there has always been a reliable method to go back to full stock whether it's fastboot on nexus device with the official google images or Odin on Samsung devices. So I've been documenting myself and trying to understand the different partitions. My understanding is that one plus on it's website only offers system images so if I ever came to loose my other partitions what would I be able to do ? I've seen a tutorial with EDL mode but where does the firmware come from ? MSM tools only restore boot.img and system.img right ?
Also how could I go about backing up my persist partition.
So basically before I root I wanna be sure that I can go back to partitioning my phone exactly to how it was before with official firmware or if there is no official one, backing up mine before rooting.
Any clarification would be appreciated !
Thanks,
