I do.. Now testing it. The vidonn.apk which I downloaded, does not install on my android phone (with android 4.2).. so.... pretty stupid.
Windows app seems to work with some hickups..
---------- Post added at 04:06 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:57 PM ----------
After creating an account on a windows machine it works.. sort off. It has potential... but software is crap at this point. When you want to look at data of your walk or whatever, you will be send to the website in Chinese... you get some basic stuff like calories burned and walked and the such.
But I wanted it to easily sync by android smartphone app... but with a non working app it can't. ... so it is still a work in progress.

The question remains why it is not "backward" compatible. It easy to dismiss a phone this way that it would not be compatible for a chinese brand..

That's Android for you Because of protocol details, a lot of the smartwatch and smartdevices require 4.3 (where android introduced a better notification support and other changes) and also low power 4.0 BLE. And that requirement gets hardcoded without a backward compatibility support
Anyone have any input on how well this works even on android 4.4.2
Anyone knows something about this .

It's cool. I love to fly.
I saw this a while back but it was only for iOS back then. I'm glad to see them coming over to the dark side. I'm enough of a nerd as to go out and buy this. lol
Edit: Wait, I think they still may only support iPhones.
Edit again: There are apps in the Android market! Time to get on eBay! lol
im planning to get one of these toys
The British Car show Top Gear tested the iPhone version of that in the News Segment of the East America Special.......
http://www.ecrater.com/p/10813807/parrot-ardrone-quadricopter-controlled-by
I have 2 of these (see http://headloaf.co.uk for some stuff I've done with them).
There is already a development thread on ardrone-flyers.com with regards to Android control but I am sure that they will apreciate some input from this community too.
This is a great 'toy' and the community at ardrone-flyers.com are always looking to improve it even more. We've even managed to mount GPS to it and control it using 7ch TX rather than WiFi....loads of fun to be head with these!
It is designed for iOS use buy there are several scripts that can be run on the drone itself (as the drone runs off a linux base) so that it can be controlled via PC/Laptop, Mac, Android - these can all be found on ardrone-flyers.com along with some scripts for object tracking etc.
They are also some similar toys, which are working with bluetooth, even with older mobiles
That's freaking cool!!
Maybe after I pay some bills off and figure out how to pay for a wedding I will revisit this I love to fly RC planes and helicopers and I love playing with my phone so this is 2 awesome things in one!
Cool ... ... one day I'll get my hands on this techie stuff and control using an Android
that is Fking wicked just like the heli i build myself back when i was kid using foam and RC set.
but this is using the PHONE!!!!!!!! as the controller AWEOME!
i wonder how far is the range of those things

Range is 50 meters, but according to this:
http://www.ardrone-flyers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=807
You can stretch that out to 150-200 meters using some hardware and a little good old fashioned ADB.
it is cool cant wait to see some more of your future work
pretty sweet! can't wait to spy on my parents with this.
Even on ebay the price tag on this thing is high in would love to have one but I just don't see spending 300 on this plus parts if you want to mod it out

Can someone specificy what this means
Play with other users via a Wi-Fi network
Another major feature is the use of several AR.Drone on a network.
Thanks to its own generated Wi-Fi network, players can create a game party where others players can join and play against each other.

Does this mean it creates a WiFi channel in which the phone connects to so it would work anywhere within the Generated WiFi range, e.g. my giant backyard?
EDIT:
* What type of connection is established between the AR.Drone and the iPhone?
The AR.Drone is connected to the iPhone by an ad hoc Wi-Fi link.
* Do I need a Wi-Fi router to operate my AR.Drone?
No, the AR.Drone creates its own Wi-Fi network. The iPhone(or device) can then connect to it just like with any Wi-Fi network.

Wow!
I also got one but it`s a pain in the axx to connect them with each other each time. Since Android does not support Ad-Hoc Wireless , we have to trick the AR Drone into Telnet thru your PC.
This means you have to carry a PC/Laptop with you to play with AR DRONE each time you want to turn on your Ar Drone
Kinda sucks ha ?
Read this LINK , this is how I get them to connect to each other .....
Anybody knows any better method to connect them ? I mean how to enable AD HOC on Android , I tried all the methods but none of them worked so far ... Is there an application or something ?
My phones are HTC Desire HD and HTC Incredible S

Well - this thread got me going a couple of days on getting a Drone
But have not found the time / probably won't either ... one thing I did read though is that it is possible to have the AR Drone connect to a WLAN (infrastructure - not adhoc).
It has some limitations concerning the IPs you use and probably security - but perhaps it is less a pain to carry around an extra router with your configured AR-WLAN
Google it - it was not hard to find
This is unrelated to Android but well worth posting.
For those of you in the RC hobby you've got to check out the Blade mCPx

I received the G-Shock Gb-6900b-1b yesterday as an awesome present from my bro in law. It wasn't linking to the phone until I updated to 4.3. Casio says only the iPhone and Galaxy 4 are officially supported, but everything is fully functional as of the update.

Congratulations! Could you post some photos and to tell what exactly gives that synchronisation?
It is too expensive for me in any case. I have had a G Shock watch, I have bought it in german Amazon for about 10-20 Euro, it is looking quite the same. It has an awful quality, despite Casio usually don't do a bull****, but one left button "mode" has fallen, so now I can use this watch only with arrows.
But I think for 180 dollars they do much better watch hehehe))
I just don't understand what gives that synch for such price? Has it geolocation or radiation detector?)
P.S. white watches in your link are fancy
Here are some pictures. Keeping it connected is kind if a pain though. Hopefully it improves.
It's pure Bluetooth, allows you to set alarms and find my phone if lost. Not as fancy as the smart watches but much more durable and last a couple years.

Problem with the smart watches is requiring to regularly recharge the battery. In addition to other mobile gadgets now there is a watch to recharge (!)
So how does the battery on the casio manage with bluetooth ?
G-shock is a term Casio has been using for over a couple of decades now.
It's says it will last about two years on its charge before the battery needs replacing. No recharging!
Sent from my C6903 using Tapatalk
so what is the function of the bluetooth?
My guess is that if it's constantly connected to your phone then the knock on effect will be that both devices will be hit by the usage, unless they've found a way to drip feed the BT and retain battery?
Two years on one charge is pretty epic when you consider it connects via BT.
Perhaps a kinetic type watch which replenishes the juice when you move would be a better innovation.
I've got one of these and it works pretty well. You can get alerts for email, sms, facebook, twitter, etc. You can also control the phone from the watch with features such as skip forward/backward on your music player, play/pause, volume up/down etc. The watch even displays track name info and email & SMS sender on the display. The downs are that it's a very large & chunky watch and that's from someone with a large wrist and that the phone's battery is greatly affected by this connection. I carry ZeroLemon spare batteries so to me it's not as big of a deal but to others it may be a deal breaker. Another thing is I had to disable one of the features due to annoyance & something that does need to be addressed by the folks at Casio: Lost connection warning. This is a good idea and in theory is supposed to warn you before you leave your phone somewhere. In practice what it does is annoying alert (tone & vibrate) regularly when your phone is in your pocket next to you and the connection is just dropped. The connection is far less reliable than most bluetooth devices I use and this includes going back several years. Other than that the watch is supposed to last a couple of years on a single battery which the competition couldn't dream of (although old Nokias before smart phones were the same since they had limited features which is a similar comparison) are ultra durable and with a solid price point too. While I hope they add some more features and fixes easily done through app updates the watch itself is pretty solid as expected for a G-Shock.

G-Shock+ alternative: BlueWatcher
Hello everybody,
I'm the founder of the Android Application called "BlueWatcher". BlueWatcher is the alternative to G-Shock+ Android app to control CASIO Bluetooth watches. A lot of users missed functionality in the official app and I decided to release my own app including the functionality that users proposed me. It's evolving quickly!! Now it supports all kind of notifications (facebook, whatsapp, line... all installed apps), time synchronization, musico control...
You can visit http://www.bluewatcher.es to discover more about BlueWatcher and what BlueWatcher can do for you.
It has been tested my many users in the XDA Developers forum and now it has more than a hundred downloads (~4.70 punctuation at Play Store).
I'm here to help you ([email protected]). Feedback is welcome!
See you and hope you enjoy it!
Use the old version of Gshock App
Hey man, just use the old version of the Gshock App. and don't update it. It will work better again, connects automatically.
i'm also thinking on buying gshock with bluetooth, im just wondering if the music controls work with other music players such as spotify?
After Lollipop Update it didn't work
Can't connect on my Sony Xperia Z1 after the Lollipop Update. How about yours?

Rumors vs stats from manufacturers website.
If you search for the FCC fillings for the Motorola 360 smartwatch, you will find several documents that attest that the chipset the watch uses DOES support Wlan.
Check out this, at read heading 2.2 of TEST REPORT BT.
See bold section below from the FCC documentation.
The Moto 360 has WiFi.
One revealing thing about the documentation is while they list the device as WLAN capable, they do not test it.
They only tested the Bluetooth radio.

Exactly. WiFi in general is a VERY power-hungry interface. And the way SoCs are nowadays it's common to have lots of interfaceson a chip that you just don't use. So it's no surprise that they have WiFi on the chip they're using but it's equally unsurprising (and smart) that they're not using it.
Here we are: http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2015/04/android-wear-wear-what-you-want-get.html. , now what? We'll got wifi support or what?
Motorola's blog entry includes the presence of WiFi in the update. I wouldn't think they would include it if it wouldn't be present in the watch:

MOtorola is the only one who will be able to answer this. I imagine they will want to leverage this new Wear functionality but it may be so detrimental to their battery life that they don't. Or it may just not work for whatever reason, since t hey didn't design the watch to USE the WiFi interface to begin with. You'll find out soon enoug.

Have you heard that Chinese cellphone manufacturer Doogee is able to produce its first wearable device , Doogee S1 smart watch. This smart watch is different with the traditional one , which can complement the fitness features, and it can also track your sports achievement, of course monitor your heart rate. It doesn’t need to be connected to a smart watch.
Why do i say that? You can make calls with a SIM slot to Doogee watch. independently from your phone, and even connect to the internet via 3G networks. We’re still waiting on the full final details but we hope to also see WIFI in the device too.
Check Doogee S1 main features:
Dialer / Bluetooth phone call: Unlike most smart watches, the DOOGEE S1 can independently make / receive phone calls with its own SIM card
Phonebook / call log / message / music sync: Save time: Access notifications quickly on your wrist using smartphone sync
Heart Rate Monitor: DOOGEE S1 is a smartwatch can accurately test your heart rate and closely take care of your body condition
Pedometer: Record the steps you take and count your exercise distance to monitor your fitness
Real Time Weather and Barometer Information: When get connected to network, it will report weather and barometer to give you a considerate remind
Extra Features: Sound recorder, music player, calendar.
By the way, i got the good news that it has been released now. Will you have a try?

I bought one yesterday, unfortunately it doesn't sync with iPhone waiting to look after a rom! It has a great and easy fully functional android menu, although on every watch face it doesn't show steps n heart rate so you hahave to access them through menu. If you have any other question, do not hesitate to ask me.
In addition to your impressions of the overall build quality of the watch, I'd really like to know if it has the 1900 MHz band as advertised. This is critical to using it as a standalone device in the US. If it has both 850 and 1900, its a game changer in its class.

It doesn't work at all or just message notifications? I've heard this problem many times on chinese smartwatches, iOS just doesn't allow it.
I bought a cheap huawei mobile phone to sync my doogee smart watch but still it doesn't get any notification, it works standalone.. However it says that is waterproof ip67, yesterday when I was cleaning the dishes its screen flashed white twice, and from then it doesn't work at all.. I suggest you not to buy it
I'm sorry for your loss. I assume you're going to request a replacement? Keep us posted...

I hope you are kidding.
I am using this smartband since 2 weeks. I am not able to say if distances, steps or calories are accurate. Battery lasts 6 days more or less.
I would like to ask a question to others that uses the app iWOWNfit (iphone) : there is a goal setting section in the app, where you can insert the sport activities you'll probably perform during the week, this activities never complete themselves, even if I start the activity manually by the band Training section. If someone uses it please give me some hint.
Bye.
Hello
In the description of the product was the information about the remote control camera. Does anyone know where is this option?

Hi,
didn't find that too. Also didn't find an option to turn off heart rate monitor to save power.
Maybe in one of the next firmware versions...

It is no official way for that. But I had no reports about need to change it.
order one and can't wait to try it out.
i can read the arabic message
Recently got the band, overall it's good, measures everything correctly. Unfortunately the app is horrible, drains the battery and is nearly useless. Even though the band itself records the sleep, steps and heart rate 24/7, the app has no way to show the previous day's recordings on the sleep and heart rate. Calories target on the app seems useless, if the band goes out of range - it doesn't reconnect to the app.
try the english mod of the latest Chinese app (zeroner health 4.0)...It's a lot better...

Yes, translated Zeroner 4 and IwOwnfit 4 much better, but chinese software sucks at all I'm waiting for full support of this band by this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.wilix.device.geekbracelet
For now it lacks some functionality but works much better: only controller sending data to GoogleFit, not duplicating GF features.
I cannot make it work...It scans for the device (i6 pro) but cannot find it....

Maybe Iwown for Geek is not implemented for I6 pro?

Maybe, your band is already connected to other app like zeroner?
