Hello,
Is there any way to flash the Sprint Note II to take to AT&T?
Quick answer is no.

Well that is both true and untrue. While the phone does have gsm hardware the gsm sim card is integrated into the phone. To use it on another gsm network you need their sim card. There are mods to change that but it is not for the faint of heart.

Is there a way to unlock this setting?
Search the forums. There's a way around it.

Golly thanks. Never would have thought of that. Any clues on which forums to search? The ATT forums pulled up nothing for me.
No way I've found around it.. don't know what he is talking about.

Search "GSLEON APN Unlock" in AT&T Development. I'd post a link if I wasn't on my phone.
Edit: Scratch that. Can't find it in there anymore. I'll see if I can dig it up.

Anyway if that is what you are talking about adding an non lte apn can be done but that is nit the same thing as unlocking it enabling manual network selection.

Is it something in the SIM that locks it?
i would greatly appreciate if someone found it!
What are you guys trying to do with this? When I go through it seems to be unlocked I can choose att and T-Mobile and I'm on att network

Where did you get the phone? I'm guessing from your sig you are rooted and running a non-ATT rom?
if you are talking to me i got my phone from att and i am using my att rom

Is that all it takes? Coolio. What is the best way to unlock? Also, I'm not worried about LTE vs 4G , just carrier selection.
oh im not unlocked either phone is just rooted running my rom
Would unlocking get carrier selection working?
I'm not sure I have carrier selection and I'm not unlocked

Just rub a little salt in the wound why doncha... lol. That is where I wanna be. I get into areas where the ATT signal is weak but present, and the phone will go on a roaming network. If I reboot it comes back up on ATT. Might have to go the root/rom route. Unless unlocking will get me there...
Im thinking about switching carriers from att to simply mobile will it work with a rooted and flashed galaxy s3? Does anybody know???

No lmao. If u dont know the difference between att radios and tmobile radios, then id advise u not to even bother with rooting and flashing. U can only get and will only get EDGE/2G data speeds. Period

I fixed a bricked AT&T note 2 that I got off craigslist but I have verizon. :banghead: I have a s3 now but really wanna use the note 2. Does the phone contain cdma hardware that can be unlocked through software modification? My verizon SIM fits into the slot so is there any way i can get the phone to connect? For example verizon iphone 5s can also be used on AT&T. What if i flashed the verizon firmware onto it? Any help at all? Or anyone wanting to trade? Haha.

What if you hard brick it to the point it can't b fixed. I would try and sell it since you fixed it. But first unlock it that way it'll b worth more! Then get you a Verizon model, I'm sure they're floating around out there somewhere!
You can try this method to unlock:

I see sprint optimus G has GSM band 1900, is this true? If it is, it means it can be used in tmobile as long as unlocked. Can anyone confirm it?

i dont see the problem here..
open up phone, desolder eUICC chip from mainboard, solder on a sim slot, mod housing so sim can be removed easily, insert sim card, do a nexus 4 conversion, swap efs partitions with a nexus 4 efs.... so simple.

That's for T-Mobile from reading it...
"Step 10. Once that’s done restoring, your phone will reboot. Just give it about a minute as it will reboot. Once rebooted, you can insert your T-Mobile SIM card and start enjoying T-Mobile 3G/4G HSPA+!"
Yup. I see that now. Flimflam said that the hack was in that site. Thats the only one I saw that looked relevant to the post. Maybe I missed it somewhere.
