i have a bell galaxy note 2, after i flashed some custom ROM, my phone stop working, i have found similar problem on the sprint form, but doesn't know how to fix, please help.
Problem #1:
After flashing a ROM, the GN2 is unable to activate the radio/modem. The following read "Unknown" in the "About Phone" menu:
Baseband, Network, Mobile Network Type, MEID, IMEI, ICCID.....etc. Basically anything to do with the mobile network.
Problem #2:
When booted up and running, PC will not recognize the phone as usual (unable to copy files to phone).
i try odin a bell stock still doesn't work, and when i boot into recovery it keep saying is a RWC rogers phone, does that have something to do with the problem? i also try kies too, still no luck.

This has nothing to do with development.
However unless you have a backup. You'll need to return your phone for a new one.

sorry i posted wrong place, where can i get help, i am new to this, and how do i delete this post
Make sure you odin a rom that included the radio and kernel. Preferably a return to stock type thing. If that didn't work did you back up your efs partition?
Also what did you flash exactly?
OP please read the Forum Rules on posting in the correct Section, Moved & Thank You
I had same situation as you few days ago, I messed up my Rogers note ii with flashed 7100 rom to my i317m. I lost baseband, network imei. Luckily, after I flashed root injected FACTORY Stock rom to my rogers phone, the problem had been fixed, here is the link where you can download the root injected FACTORY Stock rom for you phone. Hopefully, you will get your phone fixed

i flashed a rogers rooted stock version rom on my phone, so now after i did recovery it just keep on shows is a RWC in the recovery mode doesn't matter which stock rom i flash, and its saying a BMC in the download more product name. so its really messed up. because i unlocked the phone from bell, so the guy at bell told me i void the warranty on it. now i don't know what i can do to fix my phone.
Pit CSC file
any idea where i can find a pit file for my bell note 2 so i can repartion it, or that's something only samsung has it
This was a big issue with the gs3 and they've come up with a solution in that thread so given the similarities I would think that would work with some tweaking for the different partitions on the note 2. Check out the gs3 forum & maybe get in touch.. they might be able to help.

Hello, I recently purchased a rooted and unlocked Tmo T999 on Swappa for use on my AT&T plan. I can get voice and sms, but no data.
The phone I had previously was an HTC Inspire 4G with a data plan, and from what I've read in the forums, the T999 should be able to use the same data plan as the Inspire (no LTE, just HSPA+). I had to get a new SIM card, since the Inspire uses a regular sized card. I called AT&T and had a CSR confirm that the IMEI they had registered for the new Sim matched the T999's. The CSR also provided an APN to try (wap.cingular), but it didn't work. I've also tried the pta and phone APN's, to no avail. I tried each of the APN's on various ROMS (root66's UVDMD5 and UVALH2 rooted stock firmwares (flased via ODIN), CM10.1.3, and LiquidSmooth 2.10). With each firmware I did a full data wipe/cache wipe/dalvik wipe before trying the APN settings. I also did a factory reset (via *2767*3855#) on the UVDMD5 and UVALH2 firmwares. They reset successfully, but still didn't get data. What's strange is that when I did the factory reset on UVDMD5 and UVALH2, the CyanogenMod SG3 bootscreen came up momentarily before resetting, even when I tried using stock kernels. The T999 came loaded with CM 10.1, but I do not know what method was used to achieve root or unlock for the phone. I've been working on this obsessively for three days, and I've read through several posts on this forum and others, but I still can't make this work. Can anybody help me?
If you are trying to use apn's from those T999 roms, you are just getting the T-Mobile apn's all over again.
Go to the AT&T forum and find what their correct apn is, then try that.

Oh and generally it doesn't matter how you factory reset, they all reboot and use the current recovery. Just sayin cause I don't suggest using dialer codes for things like this. Too easy to make a mistake and potentially cause even more problems.
The boot screen comes up because factory resetting reboots recovery. Perfectly normal.

Hi folks,
I'm an ATT cellular user but I got tired of the locked bootloaders that the ATT devices have. I bought from a reputable seller on Swappa a factory unlocked unused replacement SGH-M919, since T-Mobile devices are generally compatible with ATT networks, and don't have locked bootloaders. I figured it would come with NB4, and was all prepared to Towelroot it and install a custom recovery and trip my Knox warranty counter.
Lo and behold, when I turned it on (no SIM installed yet), it has the 4.2.2 MDL firmware. <shocked happy dance> NO KNOX AT ALL! :good:
Question 1: is there any risk of the thing downloading and installing the NB4 update if it has no SIM at all, just a WIFI connection? I've disconnected it from the wifi here at home for now. In fact, it's off.
Question 2: I need to test out the "Factory Unlocked" part of the equation in the next couple days so I can complete the sale. If I put in an ATT SIM (and configure the APN manually for ATT settings), is there any risk of it downloading the NB4?
I figure it must be connected to the T-Mobile network to get an update, but just wanted to check to make sure before I accidentally mess up this godsend.
Question 3: It looks to be straightforward from here, right? Root with CF-Autoroot, install TWRP or CWM, install ROM... right? I'm no stranger to ODIN or flashing stuff (after all the messing around needed on ATT phones... safestrap.... the horror of a locked bootloader).
FWIW I'm headed straight to Dirty Unicorns ROM. Looks like a really cool ROM. So much more to choose from on the T-Mobile M919 than on the I337 ATT phone.
If I've missed anything, please let me know. I will start a thread on my "ATT User with M919 Experience"... I've missed such a thread here, and with lots of ATT folks sick of locked up boot loaders, maybe my fumblings will help someone.
Thanks in advance for any insight.
Marc
1) No, it may say there is an update but it won't download it or update without your concern
2) only if you select OK to download and update.. You can still OTA, it doesn't have to be running on T-Mobile network
3) you can use cf-auto root but its not needed. Just flash recovery with Odin, and flash ROM like you normally would
Thanks. For some reason I thought I had to have root to flash the recovery. This probably stems from my experience with an ATT phone where root was required to install SafeStrap, which was the only recovery option we had.
Awesome.
I will start a thread later this week to collect info to help other ATT users with these phones.

I pulled out an old samsung galaxy note 2. The t-mobile model sgh-t889 i believe. i was trying to upgrade it to android 4.4. I found somewhere saying the official at&t roms work for this phone. I tried the most recent one. I317-UCUCNJ2-Stock.tar.md5. this was the file I used. Odin failed almost at the end. Now the phone is frozen in odin with a complete blue bar. Any ideas? i want to flash the tmobile stock rom again but i don't want to make the situation worse?
Hopefully, a locked att bootloader was not flashed to the phone.
All you can do at this point would be to power off the phone, boot into download mode, and try flashing the latest stock rom from sammobile.com.
I'm going out of my mind. I have two T-Mobile phones, a Galaxy s4 SGH-M919 and a Galaxy S5 SM-G900T, that are locked and I have been trying to unlock them. I paid for unlock codes from three on line services and all three said they could not provide the unlock codes.
Then I looked into some of the procedures that claimed to be able to unlock both phones. Again very much confusion as to what worked and what did not and mostly where the actual starting point was. To the best of my memory, only one of the procedures stated that the phone had to be at the baseline (Android revision level when released) in order for the procedures to work but I found this our rather quickly when the initial code entered brought me nowhere or to the wrong screen.
Next step was to downgrade to the baseline. I tried the S4 first downloading the OEM 4.2.2 version, the 4.4.2 version and the 4.4.4 version currently on my phone. Using Odin (never could get Kies to work) I flashed the 4.2.2 version and got an error right after the boot file was flashed. When I booted the system I got an error message indicating the flash had borked the OS. Then I found out that it is not possible to download from the 4.4.4 version, even though I found some listing stating that it is possible, but I was able to flash it using Odin and restore the phone.
A few months ago when doing a wipe in TWRP I decided to wipe the data, system and Internal Storage folders, only to find that it would not boot up. I was able to restore using Odin.
My question here is, if I have the 4.4.4 version and install TWRP, delete the data, system and Internal Storage folders as I accidentally did previously, will I be able to flash the 4.4.2 or 4.2.2 versions? It seems like a possibility that at least deleting the folder the boot stuff is in might work. Comments please......
