Hi! Could you fill the available space? Thing is it's always normal to read sd cards even with high capacity but some phones tend to become unstable when the storage space is getting full.
My old 64GB card is full, had it in my GS3 before my Z1 and never had any problems with that. I will report back if I get any problems once I've loaded more onto the card.

I also have SanDisk 128 gb, my old SanDisk ultra 64 gb, an Extreme 64 Gb and a Extreme Pro 16 Gb. All I can say is that there is no one better than 16 Gb Extreme Pro SanDisk Cards. I like to have 128 gb of storage but 16 Gb Extreme Pro is at least 3 times faster than any memory. I have had write speeds of up to 104 Mb/s when transferring files from my Pc on a USB 3.0 port. The bad thing is the price. 16 Gb Extreme pro card is as expensive as(at least) than a 64 Gb card and there is only 8 and 16 Gb available at the moment. When I ordered my 16 Gb Extreme pro I paid about $95 Usd and now I paid $105 for my 128 gb card.

i agree extreme pro better any micro sd cards but 16gb too low for me i checked extreme plus cards but those cards ve really low performance so i ordered 64gb extreme. Well Extreme pro 64gb ll be awesome but as u say 95$ 16gb so possible price 360-385$ so this s too expensive.

I assume that was the main reason Sandisk didn't make 32 gb and up. But now you can buy an Extreme pro for under $40.

However, I would like to see in near future Micro SDH(X)C II in UHS-3 with 250 Mb/s and more. SD cards have up to 400 Mb/s and most of Micro sd are on 30 Mb/s.

The card has been running at around 105GB (14GB free) since my last post to this thread
Around 75GB music, 3GB photos and 22GB movies, the rest is odds and sods
The music and pictures were loaded externally in my pc, the movies were downloaded to the phone
I'm not a gamer so I'm not saving game data to the card.
The point is that my usage doesn't involve writing to the card from the phone very often, just when I use the camera or download email attachments or other web downloads, so I might not see the sort of instability you mention.
Got my Z2 this week so I have swapped the card into that. Again no problems so far.

I want to max out the memory with a 32gb SDHC. Anyone have any suggestions?
The SanDisk 32GB is very good,
it performs higher than stated with regards to class and obviously is a highly reliable make.

Another vote here for sandisk, havent actually tried their 32GB, but every other card i've had from them has been faultless.
Most important thing w.r.t. memory cards IMO, is to buy from a reliable source. Ebay is rife with fakes.
Arc can handle up to class 6?
Or i shall order a class 8 or 10.
When i bought arc i had in the case a 16gb sdhc card, but i want a faster one
someone was able to get between 6.00 to 6.79 MB/s on his Class 6 16GB MicroSD, but that was on an X10. you might get similar results on the Arc.
(source)
just got a lexar 32gb class 10 card from amazon (solutek) works great , faster than standard card supplied with arc
I guess I'll try the Sandisk, much appreciated guys. Now I just need this phone to be shipped.
I Bought a Sandisk Class 4 32GB and it works fine for me.
The data transfer to the card seems faster when I take it out of the phone.
I was thinking of getting Lexar MicroSDHC 32 GB Class 10 from amazon for my arc so anyone have it already and how is it? cus i didn't see any sandisk microsd have class 10 32Gb.
I've used the original Sandisk MicroSd 8 Gb (Class 2) and a Class 6 variant... When you copy big numbers of mp3 or movies to the phone, it really makes a difference. Example: with a Class 2 it takes about up to 1 or more hours to transfer 1 Gb - a Class 6 does the job in less then 5 minutes...! But if you want to buy a good rated SD because of the HD-camera, then Class 2 should be high enough (according to the experts). Any higher only helps if you transfer data a lot/often (like changing your musiccollection on the Arc).

I become a 16GB Class 2 Card but this card was wrong, the write speed is 3Mb/s, then I bought a new 16GB Class 10 Card. This card speed: 11.3/20.9 (write/read) the i am happy The maked HD video is better and the frame rate is really 30fps
UPDATE: The card worked much data disappeared from him then until 5 days. The next day the telephone did not see the card already though. F***ing noname card! Nobody let me not buy it trademarkless card!

any 32gb ones going for a great price at the moment? if not today, maybe "cyber monday" or whatever? lol
i'll suggest 64GB instead
if you are like me, that can easily fill a 16GB, you'll quickly fill up the 32GB as well, so might as well aim higher for a 64GB instead

thanks for the links guys. i was about to say after some research a 64gb micro sd might be overkill for me atm.
any big difference between a class 4 32gb, vs a class 6 or 10?
i mostly plan on having old pics/vids + music on my 32gb micro sd, and having all my new pictures/videos recorded to my internal memory.
The class dictates read/write speed, with the number representing megabits per second.

I currently have 16 GB class 2, and i am about to but 32GB class 4.
what is the diffrences beetween them ?
The games will work smother with class 4?
I have a 32 GB class 10 micro sd card, bit I didn't really notice any difference in speed compared to the 8 GB class 2 micro sd that came with the phone...
Sent from my R800i using XDA
The class rating of an Sd card is based of off its Write speed. So a 16gb class 2 would write at 2mb per second, the 32 gb class 4 will be able to write at 4mb per second, There is a slight "catch" however when using larger storage Sd cards, its been explained to me in the past that when you go up in storage it takes the device (phone, pc, camera ect.) longer periods of time to initially read the card itself because its now reading through more storage space then before (even if that space is empty in places).
With that in mind, the 32gb class 4 will Write files to it self at a faster speed then the 16gb class 2, but it will take your phone longer periods of time to access the information on the larger Gb card, so will games play smoother off your Sd card, technically no, they wont. But what you will achieve are faster data transfer rates when moving files to and from.
Also take into account that the class rating system isnt exactly perfect. For instance my 32gb class 4 is rated to write at 4mb per second, but its achieved 6mb per second depending on the files, and Im currently using a 32gb class 10 which most of the time writes data at 12mb per second.
I hope this helps
I think the best would be those samsung or sandisk ultra class6 cards.

There was some other thread around where people found that class10 cards had higher latency and slower access times than the class4 ones. So they're not really suited for mobile phones where quick data access is more important than high transfer rates.

I still believe storage size has a greater effect on access time then the class rating, classes are read/write speeds but more space takes longer time to read. The class itself being suitable, depends more upon the manufacturer of the sd card, and the manufacturer of the device and the device its being used in. A 4gb class10 is going to give you great performance in your device where as a 32gb class10 will indeed function a little slower but depends if you need all that space or not. I'm no expert but that has been my experience.

It will decrease its "lifespan" but probably won't kill it, I think the apps2sd script bumps things up drastically and I didn't have any troubles for the while I was using it, but the SD card manufacturer and its class might have some effects on the bumped up lifespan .. probably good to at least make sure you have a spare!

As the title says, I would like your opinion on my next purchase of expandable memory (micro sd).
I would like to know which one would be better for my Galaxy Note international version.
1) Samsung Essential Class 10 microSDHC 32GB
or
2) SanDisk Ultra Class 10 microSDHC Ultra 32GB
The price difference is negligible, so I would like to know which one would be the best buy for my G.Note.
If you think that there is a better option, which I have not mentioned, please let me know and preferably with a link to where I can buy it from .

I also use them with Nexus 10 tablet via a MHL USB cable and an app called "Rawdroid" to view the RAW images from the DSLR, the speed is incredible at 24megapixel sized photos.

hi everyone.
im looking to get the new note 2 and would like some suggestions for a the sd card preferbly 64gb one.
i have looked on some sites like memoryc for ideas but would like suggestions..
the prices ive seen listed are all within my budget so need a compatible fastest if possible 64gb card and which brands are the best? is sandisk still a good choice as i have seen samsung bringing out a new range and they are usually cutting edge last time i remembered.
for example is the new format compatable microSDXC??

fastest card is sandisk extreme pro, but ur phone wont be able to use those speeds, plus its expensive. My suggestion is the sandisk mobile ultra, best bang for the buck.

I'm sure it's a similiar issue as it is with cameras.
Someone needs to do a sd card speed test to see what the read/write speed limit of the note 2's hardware is.
It's probably way under the speed of that SD card.
However, getting a faster card means you can transfer stuff on/off of the card a lot faster through your PC.
This is useful for copying movies on (or for cameras, copying off tons of pictures).

ill be using it for HD 720p movies + HD Video rec and photos too thats why i wanted speed for writing and copy from pc and for good rec/playback.
so ill stick to this then 64GB Sandisk microSDXC CL6 Mobile Ultra its a good price and should be good for what i need at 30MB/sec

No!!!! CL = class, and higher should mean better.
CLX means the card is guaranted to read/write at X meg/second.
However, people have found that higher quality memory cards exceed their class numbers,so YMMV.

fixed.
Class 2 means minimum write speed of 2MB/s.
Class 10 means minimum write speed of 10MB/s
read speed can still be varied. It's also possible also to get class 6 card that write at 8MB/s, it just happen to guarantee at 6MB/s. Also I have seen like Class 10 SDXC(not micro) that can read at 40+ MB/s. I would read review at amazon and newegg to get the general idea b4 buying on.
