Found a Bug in latest bada2.0 beta!!

Try to create a folder named Themes in phone memory. AN error will appear preventing you from doing this.
Warning : do not create this folder by connecting your phone to computer . This will put your phone in reboot loops.
I just flashed my phone after doing that...

Maybe chance to repair via *.pfs Deletelist... next time...
Not sure what exact happens. As few Security thingies stronger...
Boot Cycle is bad to handle...
Maybe S8600 easier, as full Qualcomm... maybe then FTM is possible...
Then maybe access to filesystem possible... to repair... MAYBE.

I am on xpkj1. This bug was not on previous bada2.0.

I too created a "Themes" folder on my phone using my computer whilst connected in debug mode however I found it had changed to "New Folder" a bit later when trying to copy a theme in there...

me too but themes are working excellently

Anybody can replicate ChatON can't add buddy from Android version of ChatON?
I can't add any contact from any of my friends that's using ChatON for Android.

It's prohibited to create folder named "Themes" in the phone memory directly on the headset because that folder is protected and hidden, because there are themes downloaded from Samsung Apps (and they are encrypted). So they are available only in menu: Settings - Display - Theme. But it's possible to create that folder connecting the phone to computer in Kies Mode (by default) and put there our themes in smt file. And then folder will be visible in My files, themes (smt files) will be there, and it's possible to send them to someone else via Bluetooth etc.

It's not a bug, bada has protected that name for a new directory as 'Themes' is used as a system directory by the OS.

[Q] Extracting Stock ROM from HTC WWE RUU

Hey guys,
I've decided I've had enough of not knowing anything of cooking up a ROM, so, for my first project I've decided to make a ROM from the latest HTC_WWE RUU. Lots of people have been asking for a completely stock ROM without extras and not ruining the recovery and root access etc. at the same time. If it's good, I'll publish it . I've copied and extracted the rom.zip from the %TEMP% folder in Windows, and have found the following files. But extracting the "system.img" file doesn't work - it gives me the following error using 7zip:

So I'm wondering how to find the flashable-zip like folder structure that you get inside a ROM. E.g with /data, /system, /lib, /mnt, /proc etc. Then I will add root permissions and remove the recovery image. How can I find this structure? These are the only files inside the rom.zip:
Anyone have an idea of how to get this? I've looked in many places and just can't seem to find it.

look for a guide on using unyaffs, pretty sure I have it in my dropbox if you can't find it using Google.
I think you just extract the unyaffs zip into a folder then drag n drop the system.img onto it. not sure though its been a while.

[TUTORIAL] How To Extract Files From a TAR.MD5 Stock ROM (SPH-L900)

I recently did this for the E4GT and have been asked to do it here as well.
I've received a TON of PM's and emails asking how to do this and I've decided to do a write-up for everyone. Now to start off, this does not automatically make you a Super Duper Developer, this does not show you how to make your own TAR ROMs, nor does it show you how to make your own Odin One-Clicks. What it does do is show you how to pull files from those stock leaked/official ROMs so that you can proceed to make yourself into a Super Duper Developer!
In essence if the Developer knows what they are doing they could use this method to extract all the files from the build and could then add them to a ZIP and have a stock odexed ROM within minutes and do it all through Windows! Depending on time I may or may not do a tutorial on that as well...
So let's begin!
We've all seen those pesky TAR.MD5 packages that we can flash through Odin. How often have you wanted to look inside them and see what is inside before flashing? There are several ways to do it and the most common answer requires Linux and Dsixda's Kitchen utility. This tutorial gives you the ability to do that through Windows and without having to extract the full ROM. These instructions are specific to the Samsung Galaxy S3 (all variants) but can be used on most Samsung Galaxy phones.
Each TAR.MD5 release contains multiple files. Each of these files corresponds to a specific partition on your device. These files are formatted to be mounted by your device but not by a computer. We will be converting them from a .img.ext4 partition type to an ext4.img type partition so we can mount them and read them through Windows. For this tutorial we will be opening up the system.img.ext4 (the system files partition).
Before you dive in there are a few things you'll need.
- A PC running Windows.
- A stock TAR.MD5 release. Several are available at www.rwilco12.com.
- DiskInternals Linux Reader (must be installed on the Windows PC). You can download DiskInternals Linux Reader here.
- SGS2toEXT4 Utility available here. *Be sure to extract the JAR file from the ZIP archive.
- 7-Zip available here.

[Windows][ADB] Easy way to backup & restore your apps

You need adb to run these files !
Download Android SDK , adb is one of its components.
Also you will need to have USB Debugging enabled on your phone and adb drivers instaled on PC.
( Many of you may already know that you can backup your applications in a nexus device through cmd commands. )
Feature is included in all roms and with one command you backup or restore all your apps.
Although it is easy i got tired of checking/writing the command everytime i need it.
So i made 2 ".bat" files to make my life easier.
It's a Windows executable file which runs the command with one click.
Just put the bat files in your user folder ( cmd default folder ) and double-click to backup/restore ur apps.

It works in any windows version.

I usually add the -shared flag as well to b/u sd card contents.
ADB b/u is a great tool indeed.

BTW I made this simple batch file to install apk from windows pc using the command :

just drag and drop the apk on this install.bat file... make sure that install.apk is in the same folder as that of adb..
this might make your life even more easier..

Hi there, I try WoaDeployer win 10 arm64 on lumia 950 xl single sim and faild (bsod)
My DPP partition is brocken, how I get those partition and files.

and when I try to deploy w10 arm64 via Woa.Deployer I get error "illegal path"
those files can't manipulated

I don't have much knowledge about this, you need better ask to @lumiaWOA on telegram group

I think in worst case you should try to recover with Windows Device Recovery Tools, update to the latest (August) patch level and then redeploy WoA. I didn't haves the BSOD, but several times my WoA was broken... Is the Microsoft logo displayed during startup? So you can at least try WPInternals to reflash, or try the Cogwheel/Flash method. If you need advice, ask!

I conctact someone @ woalumia and he halpme, the problem is that I have some srange files in dpp\mmo partition and when I use woadeplyer I got error "invalid character in path"
because copy dpp partition to root of woa installation, then I mast those partition to copy manualy.
I never got win10arm, always agot bsod inaccessible boot device.
Then I find woa ffu file and flash the phone, win10arm boot
That ffu file provided Gustave and is from same donor model as mine
I never got woa.deployer dual boot
