Hi guys,
I promise to release my own media_profile mod to exploit on a good way the LG G2 cam.
What you need to use the V1 Sinate Media_Profile Mod :
Computer
LG G2 with a custom rom type KK that include the 4K - 120fps function (this mod will not work on 4.2.2)
The root explorer app or similar to let your write/rename/replace your files in the android system
How to install it ?
Make a backup of your original media_profile (go to the /etc/ with root explorer and find media_profile and for example you can rename it media_profile.bak.xml)
Go to recovery mode and flash the zip file (if your camera crash or bootloop, try a factory reset and reflash)
reboot your phone

Will this work for stock Verizon KK rom? I'm on that rom and I replaced the files per your instructions using Root Explorer and I'm bootlooping.
i guess we have to change permissions too isnt it?

Did you install any 4K - 120fps mod ? the best way is to do everythings with a computer and only if you have permission + 4K - 120fps.
Connect your LG G2 in MTP (transfert the modded media_profile.xml to the root of your LG G2 storage)
Launch Root explorer, go to /etc/ rename your media_profile.xml to media_profile.xml
And copy paste the modded version of media_profile.xml from your LG G2 storage to the /etc/
When it ask you if you sure to transfert the file to your /etc/ you valid all the questions
and you just need to reboot the phone.
If you follow this step + 4K - 120fps mod, you shouldn't have the bootloop

You don't need, all what you need is a rooting LG G2 that include the 4K - 120fps mod + KK rom or LG G Pro 2 port rom (for example i'm using
the Cloudy II 1.2 with my LG G2 + my modded file)
Which are you using ? and do you have the 4K - 120fps mod included ?

Hi, Im using cloudystock v1.3 and ofc 4k - 120fps supported... I'll try it with no changing permissions...

I had one time the bootloop but this is what i did to prevent it
Use Phil Recovery
Clean and Install New Rom
Install Custom Rom (KK that include 4K - 120fps)
Factory/Reset
Backup my media_profile

Well im already flashed it again with no permissions and still bootloop... may you can make a zip flashable?
btw ill try it with your method installing the whole ROM with corresponding wipes.

EDIT: maybe i have bootloop cause im using 380 DPI??

Tried it on stock rooted KK with either jisnhu and xdabbeb mod.
Chmodded properly of course, bootloop. Any ideas ? (and ideas without clean install rom)

I didnt get a boot loop but my camera crashes when i turn on camcorder
Ok after doing more test on different rom, here a answer of why it crash or bootloop.
It would work properly only with a clean install rom or factory/reset before install. Don't ask me why is like this, it's probably due to a conflict with different entry, a clean install is the best way to prevent any crash or bootloop, sorry about that

well, clean install because of 1 file wont work but I'll try to figure out why this happens, maybe someone knows better. Waiting for the zip

my Xperia S doesn't like JellyBean roms at all, i tried AOKP, Cm10 but it refuses to read my hardware MAC adress for the wifi on both of em. so i guess i will have the same issue with this one.

you have to use the specific kernel included in the zip, about the camera i don't really know, it might work.
i'm trying it, when i pinch the screen it do an animation an show me the screen to add widgets, but the animation is very laggy :/

Go to Settings and try Enabling Force GPU Rendering and Disable HW Overlays, might help.

Nepythys answered your first question, using a 3rd party app does work for 12MP, I'll try to include a higher res camera in a later release.
finaly we published it nice work guys jaapp and filip you are great guys i will try this rom and repack it to be my second rom on the dual boot manger

search "updater-script" in META-INF>com>google>android and change this and flash with cwm!!!!
IMPORTANT: Do not forget to flashing cwm!!! Flash rom and flash Cwm and reboot!!!!!!

I've been missing MIUI since my old sturdy arc S,
but sadly I cant find this usable for regular use since it lags so much.
Hopefully it will be sturdy and quicker than this in the near future tho.
It does however work. Everything works. Installed 3rd party camera-app to make the 12MPX work, and now everything is in order. Got no FCs, nothing not working.
But still very sluggish.

I did some further investigation and found a whole row of errors I didn't know of. Thanks for pointing out, I'll try to fix this issue.

No sir. That's not it.
Camera FV5 game me the right info.
The driver problem.
I deleted te above mentioned file.
Everything is alright.
Even TWCamera port is working fine.
And your port is working flawlessly. Video recording is also perfect even with TWCamera port installed.

I got it.
TWCamera port pushes camera.smdk4x12.so and my port pushes vendor-camera.exynos4.so.
so in system we get two same files with different names.
that's why we need to delete one of them.
Now I m updating mod with same file name as TWCamera port.
this will solve confusion.

I'm on beanstalk 4.3 ROM for my phone, and the ROM has no working camera right now. there is a beanstalk 4.2 ROM with working cam. can you describe which files/apps i need to get from it?

Thank you, works without Problems on Galaxy S3. I unzip your File and change only the gallery2.apk. After Rebbot all works.
The good old Burstmode is back.
Not working with temasek's v70 rom. I installed it two times, deleted the specific file, but no change. On v61 was no problem.

I am repeating once do not delete any file after flashing this mod.
this will won't work if you delete that lib, that problem on previous version..
so I updated mod for that.
please don't delete that file.

The file has been updated by the OP.
So, you actually need not delete it.
If your problem still persists, give him a logcat. And he will look into it.

I notice that there are some paid apps integrated into the ROM, Root Explorer, Titanium Backup, TapaTalk.
Upgrading these in Play results in an error and removing them with RootAppDelete leads to an error when I try to install them officially from Play.
Any advice on how to get my own versions of these installed without errors please?

As stated by the dev, you just have to modify the system/build.prop line 15 to your own model. for only F320S/L

1. Noticed any difference from 3.0 to 3.1?
2. Is Titanium Backup still only in Vietnamese?
3. If 3.1 is based on V11D, then it's an older version since 3.0 is based on V11G?
4. Is the status bar transfer speed still on 3.1?

1.no big difference! i do think 3.1 is smoother.
2.i uninstalled the titanium backup,so i cant tell you.it is easy to replace with another version if you want.
3.V3.1 is based on F320K V11D & V3.0 is based on F320S V11G, get it?
4.Yes, i think there will be a patch in the future, as 3.0 do so.

Thanks for the answers. One last question .. I uninstalled Titanium Backup from 3.0 (using Clean Master). But the ROM would not let me install the latest TB from the Play Store. It came up with an error "Incompatible Update".
Can you try installing the TB from the Play Store and tell me how you go?

Bro , i've worked around with LamHong on V3.1 , Attention because is not yet a fully F320K .... Service menu is still for F320S , the same...

It would have been nice to know,the changes that he did especialy for the camera.He added alot of things to build prop.Also im wondering if someone is able to make the video call function to work outside korea,its giving a message that i cannot work while in roaming.

Customized system apps. A system app with odex file needs to be "deodexed" (de-optimized) before you can decompile it.
Deodexing Xperia Lollipop is pointless if you're planning on editing a AndroidManifest.xml, because unless you want to be stuck on a bootloop on first-boot, you need to copy the AndroidManifest.xml and the META-INF folder from the original APK to the modified one.
In order to avoid that, "/framework/services.jar" needs to be decompiled and the signature verifying function needs to be modified and the jar recompiled. That means that at least "services.jar" needs to be deodexed first. And that means you're losing OpenGL (and Play Store won't be able to identify your device, thus you won't see most of the basic apps, or will get old versions of them, like Facebook 5 instead of Facebook 33)
I haven't found any solution to that deodexiing flaw, and from what I've heard, it's only an Xperia problem, not on other Lollipop devices.
EDIT: I'm glad to announce that I've fixed the problem. We can all deodex our frameworks now as long as we want and keep the Play Store working perfectly and OpenGL gives no more problems. I'll write a post about this issue and hopefully it gets fixed.

Haha yeah... well... not many true custom ROM devs in the Xperia community ("true" as in really modifying apps on their own, not just copy-pasting stuff from other places), but thanks to that fix I can now finalize my custom ROM for a public release.
you used what app to deodex the files ? i really want to try on the .270 firmware for the C6943, i was looking for a tutorial and i found a program called xUltimate but i don't know if it's gonna work, i start to provide some roms here on xda but no one have already deodexed any version of the c6943

I just use Droid Lollipop Batch Deodexer V 2.5 following this instructions of IaguCool
After that, just read this thread and apply the corrections on /framework/services.jar to fix Open GL bug
Sorry for being thick, but I still don't really understand why I would want to flash this. Does this improve performance, make the rom lighter? That's why I was asking about the practical uses of this patch? What do you achieve if you flash this patch?

I followed all the steps correctly but the phone is still showing me the same update available error and the kernel version is still .242
Used philz touch recovery for the purpose though.. What did I do wrong?

This is not a complete ROM.
Its a Patch that makes your Odex Stock ROM DeOdexed.
You need for this Patch a running Stock 270 Firmware.
I think in your your deodex patch is something mixing. First your Semcgenericuprex.apk is not deodex as you can see in log file from joeldroid, if you look inside there is no class.dex, i think you have to put inside App folder too to get it deodex. cheers
Also you shoud advise that your updater scritp will erase all the App and priv-app folder prior to copy de deodex ones so people that installed like supersu or other mods on this folders will have to install again after deodexing with this method.

It will work on stock rom but first u need to have twrp recovery to flash lollipop bootenabler so u can ise .zip files instead of .qmg files.

Wait oops i didnt saw that i wrongly removed the credits of you I added your credits but somehow i removed it didnt noticed that u can see in the first page post 10 i given u credits but maybe when i was editing it i removed it. sorry about that.
