as you can see image quality is not very good. My wife galaxy Ace did batter Picture. Second photo was taken by front camera and is much much better.
Try to reset your camera app settings or use an alternative app to check if the problem is with hardware or software.

I did, also reinstall rom and check other roms with no luck...its possible thats a hardware problem?
Try cleaning the camera lens.

EDIT: Wait, do you mean that the picture is small and low quality? If so open the camera press the settings icon, scroll down until you see 'Resolution' then set it to the highest. Then scroll down and set the image quality to superfine.

Ok, so the the title says most of the problem.
Basically, when I got my wildfire a while back I was quite impressed with the camera, managing to take some fairly nice high quality shots.
BUT!
Ever since I rooted my phone and installed CM7.1.0.1, the camera quality has become "washy". This has not been a problem until now, as I have not had to use my camera. But yesterday I did, and the results were.... poor.
So, what I was wondering is whether or not this camera issue is due to a Hardware fault, or a software fault... should I reflash CM7.1.0.1?
Thanks in advanced.
EDIT: I will try track down some old photo's and give you a comparison of what has happened to quality.
there are some camera upgrades around that i have read but cannot find anymore if anyone could provide some links that would be much appriciated as i have a poor camera too. very dark and dull with not much definition or coulor and mainly out of focus.
and no i'm not just crap at taking photos lol i think.....

From the looks of it, I had a similar problem.
Try polishing the camera with some sort of alcohol or something similar, because the lens has some kind of protective layer and might get scratched over time.
So try to remove it, it worked for me
So whether it be on the stock camera, or the aosp camera mod, why can't we get 16:9 aspect ratio? When I'm using the aosp mod the screen is showing the camera in 16:9 so why wouldn't the picture be saved that way? Is anyone working on a tweak for this?

It looks like stock has several 16:9 settings.
3264x1836, 2084x1152 & 1280x720.

Ah Ok. I guess I have only been looking at AOSP. 4.2 Camera.
This is a dumb question I know I see a difference in megapixel count and it seems to be wider on the sides with 3264x1836 versus 3264x2448 any real benefits to either? I'd like to hear from a professional. I've also noticed hurt quality images placing my device in its side to take photos versus in portrait it throws off resolution and makes things look weird, and since taking landscape I've noticed once transferred to a computer it doesn't need rotating anymore ! Lol big kid moment

Hi, I'm not very knowledgable in camera functions, but I noticed there is a central band about 1cm in breadth that runs across the screen which is lighter than the rest of the screen and is very obvious when it is dark, and the band remains when in shot pictures too, if there is no flash.
I'm using a rooted international SGN2, no custom roms - used Odin method for rooting.
That band is really annoying, especially when I want to take pictures without the flash.

Thank you for any information, on how to remove this band, if possible.
Install other camera apps fron playstore and checkout is that related to hardware or software?

I have tried using 3rd party camera app. It still appears during dark.
As with the original cam app, the band disappears when there's flash.
So problem with your hardware of camera. Go to service centre and replace it.

I see. Thank you very much for your help.
I'll do that. Sorry for the delay in the replies.
Kind Regards.
Just updated my S6 EDGE and I just notice Camera settings won't fully Open after I touched the Gear icon. I already clear the cache and data in Application Manager for the Camera. But the problem still persist.

Try rebooting phone.
Pp.
My galaxy s6 camera settings won't work. Every time I try to click it, it would go into it and then cancel it. So I don't really know what the problem is but I've restarted my phone, even factory reset and master reset. After that it would work for little while, then it would occur again out of nowhere. Please help with this problem.
I have no problems with settings in camera mine work as well

Hi guys,
I'm not sure if I'm the only one having this problem, but when my phone switches from the main photo sensor to the super macro, there is a clear difference. There is a shift and the colors are not the same.
Here a video to show the problem :/

Same moment, same distance but two photos very different :
the first one is the main camera, and second one is the super macro. The switch is not natural

It's a different camera on the phone isn't it? The switch would be expected. The phone isn't doing everything with just one camera/lens.

This is correct. Super macro mode uses the ultra wide camera. Every 'zoom level' in super macro mode just crops image from the ultra wide camera.
The difference would not be too noticeable? Especially in terms of colors and angle!
