Since Dolphin Browser HD recently dropped support for Flash on all Jelly Bean devices, including the Nexus 7, people have been needing the old version of Dolphin Browser HD for use with Flash. Well, here you are.

Thanks
Thanks OP, very kind of you!
*Edit - Although Flash seems to work fine, when trying to go full screen it crashes out immediately. Currently Firefox does not have this problem.
This is great. I miss the pinch to zoom and the more functional address bar though. Not a poblem.
Anyway to tell the Play Store not to update it?

As of right now, no. I guess that's the price to pay to have Flash working on it though.
Maybe if everyone keeps giving it 1 star for disabling Flash, Dolphin will get the message and add it back.

Thanked
Did this yesterday and it's been smoooooth sailing so far. I'm new to Android and this made things a ton easier. :good:
I wonder if there is a way to change the apk or program to make it think your are running ICS so it still enables flash, besides editing the build.prop. From the Google Play update log it sounds like its merely disabling flash on JB while still allowing it to work on ICS/GB, so the flash supporting part of Dolphin is still there, its just being disabled.
I've been using XScope Browser.
Seems like Flash support is a little bit better on that one, but I haven't tested it extensively. Amazon Instant Video can be played full-screen, which is nice. I tried that with Dolphin, but it kept crashing.

If you have titanium pro you can unlink it from the market.

I believe its because adobe stopped providing flash support for jelly bean. Also there is a new guy in town, he's called HTML5

Hi everyone. I bought google nexus 7 today and manually installed flash. I know that google chrome on android 4.1 do not support flash, so i installed dolphin browser. So here is a problem, when i view flash content and tap on a screen, for example, a checkbox on a flash website it checks and unchecks. That means that browser does a double click. I tried to install any other browser. Opera doesnt show flash content, mozilla does but VERY low quality. I tried a lot of non popular browsers. Only one works fine, mozilla firefox beta. I tried to install any versions of adobe flash player. Nothing changes. So here is the question, am i the only one with double clicking flash content? How to disable double tapping? Thanks.
It's in dolphin setting. Click on setting then Web content. Then flash player always on. So you don't have to click every time it wants to load flash.
Or download the stock browser.
Happy hacking

The problem is that browser makes a double click, when i make a single click.
Good luck I've been looking for flash that worked worth the hell since I bought my nexus, had I known it was anti flash like crapple products I would not have got it.

Can't blame Google for Adobe abandoning it's users.
As for flash, doesn't Dolphin browser disable flash by default on JB devices and make it impossible to turn back on? If so you may need to download the old stock browser on the market.
I've found that doing more of a long press eliminates the double press problem.

try the stock android browser (quick ics browser in playstore). i have cm10/paranoidrom and flash works like a charm in stock browser.
same here, i pulled apk from my gnex n put it in /system/app of n7, set permisiions, n boom!!! works pretty good.
I use "Dolphin Browser Beta" and it works like a charm. The videos are all pixelated like in Firefox.
So tell me being that JellyBean doesn't support flash what is the next best thing to use on my Note2?

just search for the flash apk and and install it, flash will work you just have to sideload it
Since i cant post links yet, go to google and put in "adobe flashplayer archives". click on first link.
Scroll down to where it says "Flash Player for Android 4.0 archives" and download the latest build. Even though its for ICS, it works perfect for JB. So yes you can still have flash on JB
you can still sideload flash.
i've also been using mozilla aurora with phony add on and selecting ipad for UA. it sucks that using iPad as your user agent is better than using default tablet. aurora support html5 streaming media, unlike FF.
btw i don't have the sgn2 (yet) but have used JB on sg2.
Ok, thanks I'm about to try that out

I've been using the puffin browser but it's not very smooth at times. Anyone find a browser that has flash player built in and works smoothly?
So I followed the Nook instructions here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1352905&page=6
All but AccountAndSyncSettings.apk installed fine( this one errors)
anyway, I'm able to now view my library but when i click a video to view or play it then it just says "Unfortunately, Amazon Video has stopped"
Has anyone gotten the APK to work on the new (or old) Nexus 7?
I use Mozilla Firefox and a add on "phony" and set the add on to desktop. Amazon video works great then.

App didn't work for me either. Install latest flash apk and use a browser that supports flash like boat.

It should...but as noted above, it depends on the browser.

I had the same problem. After trying several different browsers I found that flash player works in Firefox browser.

AFAIK, installing Flash is not an Android issue but rather a browser issue. I use Flash with Dolphin browser on now-departed GT 7.0 Plus and current GT 3 8.0 and Galaxy Note 10.1 without issues. In all cases, I simply side loaded the Flash Player app.
Hello,
I got the same problem on my tab3 10.1 WiFi and after reading a lot of sites, it looks like, there will be never a possibility to install flash on tab 3 with the intel chip. Any other Tab3 got different chip like arm.
At this time only the puffin-browser will work on tab3 10.1 WiFi.
If i am wrong, please tell the browser and flash-version.

Hi i am new here
And i have a first question
Why doesn't work the flash player not completely with the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 ( P5200 ) ?
is only the processor the reason ?

No it is the browser that is the thing that doesn't allow it.

Man I have tried several different versions of flash player, with Dolphin, Firefox, Boat Browser, Chrome, stock (of course) and a few others. I have had no luck in any way. They tell us flash is an obsolete type of video, yet it's all over the web, and they remove compatibility BEFORE it's phased out? BS. It is something to do with android and licensing. Very frustrating. Although, I have Jelly Bean on my old dell streak 7, and it has no problem running flash. Sucks so hard to have such a fast, killer tablet, that won't run something we have enjoyed for years, on much more primitive devices.
i have the galaxy note 1. i have android 4.4 kitkat running on it and it works, has to be something in the rom or the chip keeping it from not working. i have tried everything. maybe samsung did something to the firmware not allowing it to install. here is a link to a post i used to get it working in 4.4 galaxy note, he has a hacked apk of flash, so he did something to it so it installs on kitkat, maybe he has and idea how to fix it for us?
