What is going on with Latest version of Android. Massive games like Vice City almost 2GB cant be moved. am I only going to be able to move if I root this phone?
Only possible to rooted phones? I don't fancy rooting this as of yet till I have had couple weeks use.

Or developer updates the app properly so it has it's own dedicated folder on the sd card that gets deleted when you uninstall app. Also stops the developer reading the contents of your sd card.

It moves directories, so you can choose directories of specific apps/games or for example all games by binding /sdcard/Android /obb to the external sd card.

And is it running in background?
neither work for me. the GL to SD moves data but nothing else. the games still wants to download.
the other - directorybind - says i'm not selecting a valid directory. i used the internal browser in the app. guessing because it's set to extsdcard instead of sdcard.
doesn't seem to support JB going by that

You have to specify the correct prefix via the menu settings.

what? that applies to the assistant according to the blurb underneath it
ok decided to let the assistant do its thing and it did move the data.
shame it did it in a totally useless and just moved it to another path on the same internal space! instead of sdcard>data etc, it moved it to sdcard>external_sd > etc.
so still on the internal storage, not the actual SD
basically, this thing doesn't work on JB yet.
I would really like to free up some space on my internal SD. I bought a 64GB SD card , and am using FolderMount to try and move the apps, but to no avail. Anyone figure this out yet? I am rooted running Infamous S4, and have removed all of the bloatware possible. Still really low an memory.
I use the stock file manager to move apps, i had this same problem with storage. Do you have more than one backup saved on your internal sd?

Like I stated in the original post, I am using FolderMount. The problem is the folders where the games should be are empty when I look for them. That is the ones I can find. Its like they don't really exist. I went into my data folder, did find one game, Zynga Poker, and tried to move it, pinned it, and it did absolutely nothing.
Your not moving the whole folder then. Your doing something wrong. Watch a couple YouTube videos on how to. Navigate to SD card, android, data or obb and select one of your games inside either of those two folders

Im running Goodness Noteworthy 1.06 with Perseus kernel on my Sprint Note 2. I've looked online and from what I understand there is no way to move apps to the sdcard after the jellybean update. I'm really just needing the additional files the apps download like the 1+gb that you have to download for Need For Speed or N.O.V.A. moved to my external 16gb micro sdcard so my internal memory isn't so low. Ive tried the app Folder Mount from the play store and it didn't seem to work. Has anyone found a way to get the files to the sdcard and the game still be able to read them? Thanks!

folder mount worked perfectly for me. i had about 12gb worth of game data from gameloft and ea (incl nfs most wanted and realracing 3) moved to the sd card with this app and the games played perfectly. at the moment im having issues with my sdcard writing anymore and im hoping that doing this folder mount, it didnt mess my card up. the games have been working for a couple months now. i know this isnt much help but i thought i'd share my experience.

good luck man. here is the thread by the dev incase you havent read some faq's yet. it really did work well for me when i used it
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192122
I use My Drives to find the space hogging files. It's free.
FolderMount, DirectoryBind and so forth can give funny readings on the when you look at storage. You literarely have not the storage used and available before and after binding. Most of the file explorers will show the binded file in the original location. It's been moved, but what you're seeing is more a holding marker.
I figured out how to use Folder mount and its working good. I was just not mounting the data by clicking on the paperclip button lol. Thanks guys.

So I am trying to move music from my internal memory to my external micro SD card and I keep getting a error saying the transfer failed or when I try to delete a movie from my SD it won't delete. This is also using a brand new micro SD card. Is this a known issue due to KitKat?

Its not an issue, its a 'feature' that google implemented. Only the app that created the data/folders can move them. So if the files were put on the internal memory by app A, then only app A can move them instead of using a file manager. Its stupid and annoying and I'm waiting for a patch to stop the madness.
Thank you for the info. Hope they fix that soon

It won't be "fixed" ever, as it's not broken. That's how google wants it. The theory is that it's to address security concerns, as well as keep the SD card from getting as cluttered with apps throwing their stuff all over the place. If you want to make it how it used to be before kit-kat, rooting is probably your best/only option. If HTC had included a file manager, you could at least move files around on the card and transfer them to and from it as OEM/System level file managers can still do that. Since they didn't though, it makes it worse.
Has anyone figured out or found an app that can move game data to SD without root. I know we have move app to SD but the real hogs are the game data as we all know all good games are at least 1gb in size.

Not to my knowledge as moving any apps on note 4 to external SD card requires a new permission to be added in system and no way to do that without root access.
pretty ridiculous root is needed for basic functionality ..
try stock My Files or 'Files' or whatever the note4 named it. that one should work
