I'm about to order the Dev edition, but before I do, can someone confirm that it will work on T-Mobile, and be compatible with all the Roms the unlocked version is?

Can she still get jelly bean or no? Or is there a way to get the factory unlocked version of jelly bean

Probably, but this is the international OneX forum. You need the OneXL forum here.
I figured since hers is now unlocked I would come here.....:/

The hardware of the two devices is very different. So even though you have unlocked your AT&T version HOX, you will still have to refer to the AT&T HOX forums.

They didn't when it was first released.
The ATT and Verison variants were updated about 2 months ago and that update locked the bootloader.
T Mobile never released that update. So the T Mobile version remains unlocked.
That's a big plus in my opinion, even if people are upset that the T Mobile version never got the updated with the apps2sd function. That was the update that locked the bootloader.
There is a new update coming to T Mobile sometime in the near future (probably) and it's unknown at this time if that update will lock the bootloader on teh T Mobile version as well.
Hello, I am about to purchase an unlock att note 3. But I have tmobile service. So my question is would. I have to root it and add rom's in the att section or tmobile section?

You would root according to the At&t forums, and flash At&t Roms
Ok thanks for the info

I unlocked my T-Mobile Note 2 and successfully changed carrier to Straight Talk using AT&T cell. My question is once the Kitkat update rolls out, do I have to install a T-Mobile rom or an AT&T rom? Or is there any alternative? Please advise.

Doesn't matter. AT&T or N7105 are fine. Stick to the T-Mobile modem and the rest is details. The AT&T & N7105 communities are fairly active.
Hastily spouted for your befuddlement
Am I interpreting this correctly, that you can just flash the att rom for a N7105 on the t889?

This morning I had some problems with my phone, so I had to reset the phone and reinstall everything. Thus far everything is good, I am more interested to know about AT&T rom on note 2, can we install it?
Sent from my SGH-T889 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
as long as the rom doesn't flash a new bootloader or modem (only a few do). you can flash at&t or n7105 roms
Nice to know... Thanks

If I unlock an AT&T HTC M8, would I still use the AT&T based roms even though its unlocked on another carrier or would I now use unlocked based roms?
You can use any

Wouldn't that mess it up tho be cuz it was originally an at&t phone?
Sent from my EVO using XDA Free mobile app
No it won't. Both the att and unlocked share the same hardware
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
Ur positive it won't damaged the phone? Doesn't each provider phone have a different set of radios and radio keys?
Sent from my EVO using XDA Free mobile app
I'm doing the same. I'm telling you from experience.
The ROMs do not include radios. The radio can only update by an RUU, OTA or by flashing it separately.
All international ROMs (not RUU) WILL work on the AT&T edition.
Also if you want AT&T specific features or bloat you can while installing certain ROMs choose AT&T as the model. ( eg in insert coin or ARHD ROMs you get an option to choose the phone model )
Personally I have an AT&T model but I am using the international version on it since I don't want the AT&T bloat

Ok so if it's an HBoot update or RUU update with the radios, it will have to be AT&T but for just the Rom itself, I can use the unlocked versions?
Sent from my EVO using XDA Free mobile app
Yep

How come I see som roms from AT&T with 1.58.210 or something like that and other roms from the unlocked forum with 1.54.210.10?
Sent from my EVO using XDA Free mobile app
The rom base used in the unlocked forums are different from that used in the att forum.
Unlocked forums use the international base not the att base.
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
So I can still use the international "unlocked" forum roms?

Yep
