I have wondered does galaxy nexus lte network work in European? Because European model doesn't have lte network and has only 16gb of memory so I was thinking that I would buy nexus from Verizon if that lte network would work in Finland. Could someone smart tell me if it is possible thanks

Won't work. The frequencies are all different.
And here in Finland 4g is already working but I don't know does nexus support only Verizon network that isn't in here

The LTE version is CDMA/LTE. European carriers are all GSM. And to my knowledge, there aren't any big LTE networks yet being rolled out there...
So no, it won't work at all. Even if you got ahold of an LTE SIM from a local LTE carrier it wouldn't work with the frequencies in the Verizon device.
Okey thanks.. I will buy European model then

Verizon LTE model is using band 13 700mhz radio and it'd factory locked to Verizon. You guys are using 800mhz/2600mhz as far as I know so it will most definitely not work.
Just go for the HSPA+ version.

Alright :d
Just wondering if the phone would support LTE in Roger's network in Canada with Tmo's baseband.

Out of the box it should support HSPA+ on Rogers if it is unlocked, however LTE is software locked, but I have heard of people flashing the Rogers/AT&T ROM onto their T889V and getting LTE. Hope that answers your question.
hey guys. i tried searching but didnt find any answer to this.
does anyone know if the N7108 will work on att's 3g/4g network?
Only edge, no ATT ( or T-Mobile) 3g or 4g or lte for n7108 which was produced for china mobile which is primarily a cdma tech.

thanks for the clarification, james.
so if its cdma, it should work on verizon's or sprint's networks?
Hi,
I bought my N7105 from france, I moved to Dubai later on. Carrier supports 4G (du) but my phone mostly connects to H+, rarely 3G but never 4G.
I'm running a rooted official firmware 4.1.2, I searched on xda for same with issue it was there on Vodafone/AT&T in US and most solutions were a change in qualcomm's something!
In dubai they have GT N7100 but N7105 is not sold anywhere in middle east for some reason.
Please spare me the "buy a GT N7100" comments!
Would be great if have any suggestions.
Thanks.

Supporting 4G doesn't mean you'll GET 4G. They have to use the same frequency bands as supported by your device or it won't work.
According to 4g-map.info uae supports 1800 anf 2600 mhz so there is no reason why the n7105 wouldnt be comptible. What baseband do you have? Im running h3g nedma1 and I can see all three currently active 4g networks in the uk. So maybe try flashing that baseband check out the n7105 flashable modem collection in n7105 android development

Also check with your carrier. You might need a special APN for 4G access, you might need your IMEI added to an approved list.
There's much more to it than just the handsets physical capabilities.
Yes.. You have to check whether you device support the network frequency or not.
I am from Malaysia. Study in US currently. I am using my N7100. And T-mobile network.
T-Mobile doesnt support 1900mhz frequency (except san jose, san francisco and certain area). When i go out of these area, i only get 2G in my international version note 2. So, do do some research and get a carrier than has your device frequency. You can get the answer from Wiki.
Ask from your operator what frequency they are using for 4G. I think Note II supports 800, 900,1800 and 2600mhz for 4G. If ur operator uses other frequency which is not supported by Note2, then u wont get 4G on your device. In my operator, they use 1800mhz for 4G, so I can use 4G on my device.

If you look at my previous post you will see I have already told him what frequencies they use in uae. Plus the fact that the n7105 supports these frequencies

Hi guys, i recently moved to the US. Got a T mobile sim to use on my E988 which i used to use in India. Here 2g network is fine but am not able to get a 4G LTE connection on phone. Am running the VUPMP G3 ROM, all good but i just can't live on 2G network.
Can i flash an e980 baseband on e988 or something like that. Please advice.

I'm don't think the E988 has the proper bands to support T-Mobile 3G or LTE. T-Mobile has their 3G on the 1700 band (AWS) and the1900 band. T-mobile's LTE is on the 1700 band (AWS). Your phone doesn't doesn't have the 1700 or the 1900 band.

Depends on where you are. You will get 3g only im "refarmed" T-Mobile areas because the phone doesnt support the 3g bands used in some older T-Mobile towers. You should get LTE anywhere where it is available. Check coverage maps to be sure you have LTE service in your area.
