i have installed Optimized Kezra V3 ROM and tryed to connect my phone via Kies. It failed every time. Is it possible to connect the phone with this ROM via Kies?

is there some way you could give us Swype apk? you removed this keyboard in newest ROM, which is bad for me since I have to use Swype beta and it's not as accurate as normal swype.

Hi, I'm on stock DXKJ5 and want to try this custom ROM out. I know that it's based on EUR ROM. Can I flash the custom ROM right away or should I first flash the stock EUR ROM?

I had trouble with my titanium backup, as it tried to restore swipe settings ave as mentioned before swipe is not included. Our ifs not a bug, but be aware that this might cause trouble.

Swype, TW calculator and TW calendar
Hi, I downloaded the .apks of the swype, twcalculator and twcalendar. Of course it wouldn't just install like other normal apps, so I tried to move it directly into the system/app folder.
I just won't move (or copy)! Says that some error ocurred and that it's impossible to move.
The phone has Kezra V3 rom and V6 super charger. It's rooted alright.
I miss swype... and MOST OF ALL, I miss XT9! It seems it just went away with this Version 3. Downloaded Go Keyboard but didn't really liked. The stock gingerbread keyboard with swype and full functioning XT9 is far better.
I'm considering "dowgrading" it to V2 again, I found a working download link somewhere in the V3 thread for it.
Can anyone help?

unzip the rom, place all the apps that you want in "system", "app", rezip the rom and flash it again without wipping data in cwm, that should solve your problem

Thanks a lot mate. I'm going to give it a try.
I tried to do this after the rom was flashed, with scrip manager. Just copy the app directly into the /system/app folder, however it didn't work.
I'll post my experiences back.
By the way, do you have any insight on the XT9 issue? It was a must have for touchscreen keyboards... I could live without swype, but XT9 was suppose to work with samsung keyboard... I'm confused with that.

Dude, thanks a lot! I tried this ICS keyboard and liked it. It's not as intelligent as the stock gingerbread keyboard used to be but it goes quite close.
I tested the SlideIT app and LOVED IT. Replaced everything else, and now KP V3 works fine for me
I can't thank xda dev enought!
I somehow lost the stock S Planner app on my SG3 stock ROM. Can someone please upload? I've searched everyone on XDA but can't find one.

Any luck on finding the S-Planner App? I am on the LiquidSmooth ROM, and the only thing i miss about the stock ROM was the S-Planner. Can someone post the Apk file? Thanks!

From my understanding of samsung and their wisdom, the S-apps are very intertwined with the Touchwiz interfaces. Roms like AOKP wont run them. If I am wrong, please correct me.
the Stock Email and Calender apps on my SG3 are the ONLY reasons I have not gone to a custom rom on this one. they are much nicer and more robust than the AOSP versions. If I had teh time to learn more about porting them, I would do so myself.
I also have a galaxy tablet. the stock ICS on it is mediocre at best. I tried going to AOKP, but again, the Calender and Email apps are far superior on the stock roms.
It's being a long time, but just in case you guys still looking for it here they are.
Just copy and paste it to /system/app and change permissions.

I use the original Samsung ROM, but want the original calendar widget in inverted style. If I install the inverted google calendar I loose the S Planner functions for setting new calendar entries etc. Has anybody the original calendar widget that can run with the S-Planner?

downloaded all files provided in this thread and s-planer still crashing on my s3 i9300..
Im rooted and on custom rom from PARDUS ( v13beta4) rom is samsung based so everything should work.
got error touchwiz stopped responding ... when putting widget on screen.. sometimes its fine for few seconds.
I had to flash a custom rom on my fathers s3 because he need a higher version for bank app...
Now he miss his ~calendar app (S-Planner) for his phone, any chance to get a ported version ? Running some slim rom 4.4 on his phone.
S-Planner is a Samsung app and will require a stock Samsung kernel and framework to work. As far as I know, it will not work on a custom ROM that is not based on a stock ROM.

I recently downloaded the "ROM Toolbox Pro" app onto my HTC One V. At first I wasnt sure of all the things you can modify your phone with, but after looking and playing around for a few hours I got the idea. I noticed that you can change your [3G] icon to different colors and so forth for other icons on your phone. When I reboot the phone after applying a new boot logo, and Icon it didnt work at all. My first thought was that maybe you cannot modify anything with the Stock ROM? If anyone can tell me any information about this, that would be wonderful!
Also if I need to switch my ROM to something else, can someone please send me a link to a good ROM for the HTC One V that doesnt have any issues, and the full setup on how to do it? That would be wonderful!

One major problem to some no camera since it's kernel is ion based. I like this room a little more to cm10.1
If u are primou I'll provide u links if u like as always read tutorials and the instructions in the developers ROMs introduction post of what ever ROM u choose. Some ROMs have a little different way of that rom being flashed in order for it to work. As always i am in no way at fault for any thing or way that u may totally f up ur phone during the process of flashing my ROM or any other ROM/kernel.

Boot Animation - Install
I've had problems with getting new fonts on my Samsung Player 5 (ROM: Chip1.5).
Worse, the Boot Animation and Randomizer won't let me change the boot animation any longer. It was working (especially when I had the standalone Boot Animation app). Not sure what happened?

FYI this is a one v forum, ask in the player 5 forum so that people may be able to help with a particular ROM you're runnin
btw, Never use rom toolbox; it does more harm
Icon changer
I am new to xda developers and android. I recently downloaded rom tool box pro to my a116 running sam HD v3.2. whenever i tried to change my battery icons it says that icons missing and lists some 4 to five icons. after the first reboot if the battery level is above 90% there is no change in the battery icon but once it changes below 90% battery icons changes to what i selected in toolbox... why is it happening and how can i solve this... also i cant change my notification backgrounds... boot animations are working just fine with no issues.. somebody pls help...

Try installing Sphongle ROM or Omega ROM. They are quite perfect for everyday use. I've been using sphongle from last 8-9 months. Rom toolbox works perfectly in it.

Could someone, PLEASE, PLEASE help me to find one or even make one if that's not to much to ask?

Can you link me to the request thread in question ? I will take a look. Also please link to the Zip file that's not for your phone.
As far as Lock Screens go, AOSP and Touchwiz are not compatible. Having said that, Most of AOSP roms prefer Dash Clock or other such Lock Screen Widgets. If you really are looking for AOSP experience on Touchwiz, you can try Magic Locker app in play store.
He might want to look into Xposed modules too. I know they have a mod for it, but he has to learn how to use Xposed first.
Also, I really want to say that I remembered seeing an AOSP lockscreen zip in Themes and Apps, but it might have been in another forum section since I bounce around so much. I'll look for it in the next few days or so.
If all else fails, flash an AOSP ROM and theme it TWiz style. That's a sure fire way to get best of both worlds *cough* unless you still want wifi calling and other TWiz features will be lost *cough*.

I don't think he wants to leave Touchwiz. If he is wiling to then there's a lot of choices out there. Me, I'd use this app if I am on Touchwiz.

Thanks guys for the response! I am using Dandroid and love it but eventually I want to go back to using stock rom. This Dandroid is running AOSP Screen with Touchwiz and there are some forums showing AOSP screen zips for some Galaxies on T mobile but not for the GS3. I did try some of the zips but it didn't do anything, and I was trying to reply to a person who adjusted one to work for a Galaxy but he didn't respond back and that is why I was trying to post some new ones to get some help.

The AOSP lockscreen in Dandroid came from S3Rx. If you want the stock look, use S3Rx, not Dandroid.
This is a job for a custom ROM. I feel like you're trying to reinvent the wheel.

Thanks for the link I will check it out. I know there are times that international mods don't work with USA TMO. Please post yours I tried those links and got nothing. I did a backup and re installed my stock 4.1.2 tmo and the files did not work for me. I hope we can find something? I am staying positive.

Ok thanks for the reply. I am not trying to be dumb but on the [FRAMEWORK ONLY!] Xposed - ROM modding without modifying APKs what am I looking for?

You need to install the apk from
http://dl.xposed.info/latest.apk
After done, run that app. That's actually an installer which will do its own process. Follow through and then finish it. Once that's finished, try th AOSP apk you just now installed.

Yea MAN! It works on my stock 4.1.2. Although I have a few more questions if you don't mind? 1st the one AOSP I was using on the DANDROID had a way to access on the screen options to add more apps in the lock screen. I wonder if this can be done? And 2nd do you know if this will work when I update to 4.3 stock when it comes out? Just some thoughts but again thanks a million!!!

The On screen options to add more is called Lock Screen Widgets. That's pure AOSP feature. Yes go right ahead. It will work just fine. If you come across other modules that use Xposed apps then they too will work for you.
I do believe for 4.3, the Xposed Apps APK you just got will be updated. You will then have to get the latest apk. Or perhaps you could be lucky and it is already updated.

Cool thanks. Still a little confused though. The module is active and working AOSP Lockscreen 1.1 but there is no options listed to change apps on the screen. I checked in the settings, lock screen, lock screen options and screen lock but there is nothing. No widget either to allow for customizing apps. Am I missing something?

I am posting a new thread as I have not found an answer to my problem by searching previous posts. If the answer is already there, please point me to it and accept my sincere applologies.
My issue is the following: I performed a clean install of DN3 v.5.2 Full, but after installation SNote 3 is missing from my device.
I searched for the APK and I found that snote3.apk is there (/data/app), but I cannot install it. I also tried extracting it from the original ZIP file, but no lick with that option either.
Error message: "There was a problem parsing the package".
I wiped everything and reinstalled DN3 5.2 three times already.
Please help me with a solution as I really need SNote on my device (I have dozens of SNote files already and I cannot access them anymore).
Maybe a link to the ported SNote3 for KitKat would be of any help, but I couldn't find such a package (separate ZIP installer).

Hello there,
I found the solution (pelase don'a laugh)
If you install DN3 5.2 and SNote 3 is missing, don't search for the APK file.
If you do, you'll find it and be temptem to perform a manual install, whill will fail (and be frustrating).
The solution was very simple:
Login to your Samsung Account
Open Samsung Apps
Upgrade Samsung Apps (mandatory)
Search for S Note and you'll find it in the results list
Install the new S Note app :fingers-crossed:
Now open the installed app and enjoy it

Actually you can just pull the SNote3.apk from the DN3 v5 zip file and install it. LoL. I have Note 3 S Note on my stock ROM Note 2 which pulled out from DN3 v5 ROM package. :laugh:

This is brilliant and just what I've been looking for for ages! Thank you!
In my case extracting the zip lead to the same errors. This is why I posted a workaround

How can I install snote 3 in my dn3 v5 custom rom...
Anyone please help me......
I tried all possible method...but all is vain....
App dint installed..

Pull the apk out and install as normal apk.
Ohh yes...thanks its works...I tried with root file maanger and copied these files into system directory..but dint work..
Finally installed as normal apk installation. ..now its works...

battery percentage jumps after reboot
hi guys I have been using DN3 v.5.2 for 2 weeks now. I am very much excited about the firmware! thank you! I have an issue with the battery though, which I haven't seen in previous version of android. I had my battery 92% and after reboot I see battery to have 94%! How is that? Should I worry about this?

Hello there
I am facing some issue downloading this dn3 v5.2 from electron-team, when I tried mega link for full it's not connecting to mega and just giving me error,
I request if anyone can make it google drive or any thing which can be easily downlodebl.
