I am using severel costum ROMs . But didnt make one yet . Can anyone explain me How to edit a custom ROM ? I really want to know . If there is another part like this , please give me the link . This my first post ( question really). So please forgive me for any rule violation

Hi ,
First of all i would like really to express my happiness being in this website , it is very usefull but unfortunatly this is my first time i post thread .
I am seeking your kind if you can help finding a mod for the following , i am note 2 owener international version XXALJ3 , JB 4.1.1 , Stock room and rooted .
1- Stop increasing the ringtone .
2- Automatic brightness , as when it is enabled it is so dark .
3-CRT / OFF and ON MOD
however , i was using those mods in my S3 GT9300 , and it was working perfect , but unfortunatly i found nothing for note 2 international version .
Appreciate your help and support for this .
Hello and welcome to XDA! Some of the mods you mention are cooked into a few of the already available ROMs. Just to give you a heads up though, questions threads should not be started in the development section. That's what Q&A is for.

Thanks for your quick reply , i dont like to use cooked ROMs , that's why i am looking for MOD , am already found an alternative solution for Automatic brightness which is LUX software , it is good .

Hi friends, i am new to xda. After reading a lot about custom roms, i really wanna flash one. But dunno whi h is the best. So someone plz suggest a good rom

U should find something that u like..
We really cant tell u whats the best 4 u...
Cause we hve different taste bout roms...
If someone likes jellyblast they will surely tell that u should try it..
If someone likes hyperion they will tell u the same thing.....

Best roms/kernels are all highly subjective and no one can suggest you what suits you unless you yourself take the pain of trying em all out one by one !
Also if there are any queries (which can't be solved by search) please post them in Q&A from now on !

Remember guys, ROMs/kernels etc are all subjective so there really is no "best ROM" only ROMs that work best for you

I am sorry if there is already a thread like this , but I couldn't find it.Actually I found some similar posts but after I flashed their "zips" nothing heppened.I installed Vegeta's mod , maybe that is why it is not working , cus I changed System UI.I am not sure if that means anything cus I am new in rooting but I will appreciate somebody's help. (I have Galaxy S3 i9300)
I have no idea what are Q&A forums , so this can be some sort of a request.

Q&A means questions & answers. So please move this to that section and please try to search what you're looking for in the play store

In LG Optimus L3/L5/L7 (first generation) sections ,there are L3-II / L5-II / L7-II (second generation) posts ...but it's not the same phone at all ! too different about hardware ! ....and so it's not a "clean" section ( too many phones , really mess ! )
It's possible to make their own section ? ( and maybe with L9-II too , because members have asked it on this spécial thread of "request" )
... and move all wrong posts on existing L3/L5/L7 section to this new one ?
...for to preserve XDA forum a best quality .
