The T-Mobile branded version will have WiFi calling. The GPE version direct from the PlayStore will NOT have WiFi calling.
Yeah it has WIFI calling. I used it multiple times

That's the important one I'm a flash addict, I'll post back when I come across others with the function.
Is there a ROM/mod/fix/app that will let me use T-Mobile wifi calling on this device? Love the phone but T-Mobile reception in my home is so bad that I need wifi calling.

With t-mobile saying that all their phones are going to be WiFi calling capable, what is the chance of finally getting WiFi calling to work on aosp or cm in near future. Hoping @DocHoliday77 had an educated answer as always.

Are you referring to Tmobile's Wifi calling or to the Google Voice Hangouts Dialer?
I'm curious to know if anyone has ported their Tmobile number to Google Voice and successfully replaced wifi calling with hangouts voice calling.
After the recent Verizon FoxFi issue, I noticed that the update now enables the native G4 hotspot in the notification when I activate WiFi tethering over FoxFi/PDAnet. Is this normal? I want to make sure that this isn't somehow enabling Verizon's own paid hotspot feature.

If you are referring to T-Mobile's wifi calling, then no, it doesn't have that. You can use a 3rd party wifi calling app (Google Voice, Hangouts, Skype, Duo, etc).

I'm on AT&T--- it appears as if it's calling on WIFI as when I'm connected to a WIFI network it shows the connection but no mention of cell service...I place the call and still does not show the cell connection (4G/LTE).
However, I do not believe calls without WIFI are VoLTE....if I call off the cell network it switches from 4G LTE to 4G only....However, it sounds super clear though.

Maybe it has native Wifi calling on AT&T but I have T-Mobile and it does not support their native wifi calling feature. My wife has a Moto G5 Plus and it DOES support Wifi calling on T-Mobile, even though it's an unlocked, non-T-Mobile specific phone.
And it does have VoLTE on T-Mobile as well (at least the BND-L24 model does).
