Dont know if this is what you wanted but i've unrooted fine using this file just put in sd card and enter bootloader. I got it from the how to unroot thread in the dev forum the name of the guy i got it from escapes my mind at the moment.

I have Hard Bricked my SPH-L710 (noob mistake). I upgraded to 4.3 without reading up on features. Everybody now knows about the annoying KNOX security that comes with it but i did something so HORRIFIC lol i tried to downgrade. didnt end so well. little did i know trying to downgrade with KNOX causes a hard brick..:crying: everyones trying to do the SD card trick where you image the debrick image on the sd card. people are mad to find out that if you upgraded 4.3 you cant fix a hard brick that way anymore. UNLESS someone extracts the boot image from their rooted 4.3 SPH-L710 device then there is a chance that this method will work. use Philz recovery to root 4.3. and someone get this image for me!! dont just do it for me get it for other models too. be nice. or if there is, will someone link it to this thread. or any other way to fix this hard brick.
will a jig work ? i know how to fix it if i get to download mode.

i Bricked mines too, i have been looking for it too hopefully someone share's the file
Same here, bricked Boot Loader *sigh* Mine came from an idiotic move with the EZ-Unlock app tho. Suppose my next step is to invest in a Class 10 SD Card and pray for the best. There is some other threads around here that have various S3 unbrick images tho, just gotta poke around :good:
I'm in the same boat guys
Aggghh.....I pray for this file every night to fix both mine AND my hubby's GS3. Yup.....had so much confidence in myself (Really it was cockiness) that I bricked mine and then his!
me too...bah!
I missread the dev topic on the S3 Factory reset and counter and got burned. I was running a custom 4.3 and thought I was good...oh well.
I have tried the SD card method with several different images, but alas I am still in crapville without a shovel. $50 to send off for repairs or wait for something to come along. Right now I am hurting, hard to believe that phone was so important! Argh! Has anyone had luck?
Sigh...a little searching helps.

I assume since this is the AT&T Galaxy S 3 section, you already know that I have the SGH-i747 model.
So I've been looking for a while, and I can't find anyone that has caused my same problem the way I did. I'll give the entire story: After having my S3 for a while, I decided to try rooting. I did it successfully, and got CyanogenMod installed. I don't know what, but I wanted to go back to touchwiz. I loaded a backup because it was exactly what I had before CM. fast forward about a month and a half, AT&T keeps bugging me about some update. It's the 4.3 update, I find out, after I installed it. Now, here's the confusing part. The SuperUser app was left over, but I have no CWM and no root privileges. I used this watch?v=yuBuD9aL12o (Paste after yt url) tutorial to root and get SuperSU, and it worked. The phone restarted many times in that entire process, and in the end it worked. One forum told me to install and apk called EZ-Unlock12.apk to unlock my boot loader. (I have included the exact APK if you want to look at it.) It just said successful and I closed out. Now, I wanted to flash CWM again with ODIN. I installed the drivers, and booted up ODIN. This is when it happened. I loaded up the CWM.tar.md5 file into ODIN, (not exact file name but you get what I mean), and it did it's verification and said it was good. I don't remember having my phone plugged in while doing this. I went to shut down my phone and put it in DL/ODIN mode. But now it has happened. I tried to bring my phone back up, but it didn't give ANY feedback. The only possible way to make it do ANYTHING is to plug it in without the battery, and i get the red light. I think it may have been that boot loader unlock program that messed it up, but I can't say for sure.
TL;DR I hardbricked my phone and don't know what went wrong.
Is that app for the verizon version of the s3? I believe the AT&T version of the s3 is the SGH-i747; however, your post refers to the sch-747 in the first line. From everything I have read, there is no way to unlock the AT&T s3 bootloader.
Not sure if this would help: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2549068

I meant SGH-i747, sorry for any confusion.
Did you try the unbricking method I linked? I think that may be the only way to unbrick the phone since it appears that your bootloader has been corrupted. If the unbrick method doesn't work, you'll probably have to have it repair via jtag.
Were you able to get it back to normal state? I am in the same situation as you with the same problem and was wondering if i should go do the method someone provided or just go ahead and pay for a jtag service.
I need Help. I have tried all day to figure this out. I am about to chuck both stupid ass computers and my phone out the window. I need to return to stock and locked to return my phone to Verizon as I received a CLNR device.
I started with the Return to Stock thread. Followed the instructions (downloaded the most recent version i could find since the link in the op isnt working) . Re locking the bootloader went fine. But when I go to flash the RUU i get an error everytime. It gives the loaded target size then I get error cannot load *filename* : no error . No matter what i do. I have tried every version of RUU I can find, flashable , exe whatever. I cannot get anything to load. If any one can be of any help I would appreciate it . I cannot figure out what the hell im doing wrong. Or if you have an easier to follow guide with current links. IDK Im lost at this point...

Awesome man.. glad to hear it.
I am very new to this, long story short, I have been messing around with different roms trying to get one to actually work.
CM11 wasnt working, was installed but got not service so i tried flashing a new modem that said was compatible for telus from this website.
SO i decided to try bliss stalk after the new modem install it didnt work so i thought maybe something was up with cm11 and i just coudlnt figure it out. Now after going to bliss stalk and loading it up, everything works but i still have no service and cant make a call.... any suggestions??
I747M - on Telus, Canadian phone. Please help I can use wifi and do stuff on the phone, just cant make a call.... have not tried flashing back to stock and i dont know what the stock modem is or where to find it.....
I see something about a bootloader and updating it, but im a little scared and dont wanna mess it up more than it already is.... how do i find what bootloader i have and what should i update it with...?
What bootloader is now on your phone? This is important to know before flashing anything else. Flashing certain modems onto certain bootloaders may hard brick your phone.
Sounds like you are not getting service because your modem, bootloader, and ROM combination are not compatible.
also APNs (?) or would that be with the rom?
"all i can really do , is stay out of my own way and let the will of heaven be done"
FIXED!
Updated modem and bootloader via odin from sammobile.
wont let me attach link as im too new.
Now to try and re-flash bliss!
