Hey, i rooted galaxy note 2 today, tried to install chainfire 3d, it warned me that the device might fail to boot after it, and well.. it did fail
Now iam stuck on the boot screen saying - Samsung galaxy noet 2 GT-7100. Not sure what should i do now to fix it..
Iam able to press volume down, home and power buttons and get to the install screen
As well iam able to press volume up, home and power buttons to get to the Android system recovery screen.
Soo what now ?
edit1: I tried to use the " Wipe data/factory reset " thing in system recovery, didnt help.
Now iam downloading Stock ROM for n7100, hoping i could use it with odin and unroot the device, not sure if that will help...
If you can get into recovery, just download a rom you want, custom or stock doesn't matter, and wipe data and cache, then flash the rom. Should boot up just fine after that.

Thanks, ive successfully flashed the rom, booted up, and everything seems to be working fine now..
But i wonder, i just had bad luck on chainfire3d, or i did something wrong, maybe device cant really use the app ?
Personal I wouldn't use chainfire3d on the note II. There are no real benefits any more I think.

Chainfire 3D hasn't been able to work on JellyBean for quite some time. If you have a nandroid backup, use that. Otherwise you'll have to re flash. I ran into the exact same problem on my Galaxy S2...

Lot of guys did this and ended up in boot loop. .. the only way is to flash a rom again. ...

I had this installed on my SGS2 and just did the non wipe upgrade to JB XWLS8, went to reapply drivers and stuck at Samsung logo like everyone else with JB..
Solution was simple, booted to (stock as I rooted using signed su zip and not odin for once) recovery, then with usb plugged into pc, adb shell, su, /system/lib/cf3d_uninstall.sh and phone was back up and running in a minute.

(I have 2 phones btw, about to give cf3d a shot on the note 2, good thing I didn't bother).
same here,i read in the web that the problem is caused by superuser ,it says that you must install an older version of superuser
Don't believe everything you read in the web..

Just download your stock rom and install with odin this will help you install it trought the pda this wont remove your apps that you have.
Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note II using TapaTalk 2.
Or, as I said above, from adb, which is still running despite the phone looking like it has locked up, you can uninstall the system drivers causing the issue, saves screwing up something doing a flash.

Boot to recovery. Plug in USB cable to PC. Ensure phone drivers installed on PC. Install ADB on PC which comes from SDK, or even easier, see here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1474956
Make sure adb is in PC path.
Open command prompt, type adb shell, which will open a shell session on the phone (works to most recoveries, and works to running phone if debugging enabled).
then if not # prompt (root) type su
then the cf3d_uninstall.sh is typically installed into /system/lib... although one or two posts have said it isn't here on their phones so you will have to dig around a bit. You may need to mount /system depending on recovery used. Google to see how, I can't explain everything easily.

Just untick "Auto-Reboot within odin & flash , then reboot manually power+volume up.
Another thing: I can't use odin because I don't have a computer. There's an app called flashify that installs recoveries but it still only works with 2.6.3.0. Even installing the latest version from goo manager doesn't work.

I think I will need to install TWRP with Odin -- goomanager isn't working for me. It SAYS that it has installed TWRP, but every time I try to get into recovery all I get is the standard Android recovery.
My question, please is this: where did you get the tar file for TWRP, and which slot did you use with Odin? Was it the PDA?
Thanks very much

I got mine by going to the twrp site, but I admit it wasn't exactly easy to find. You can know you're getting the right version of TWRP if you download CPU-Z from the play store and check the third page that says system; the model name gives you the store citric name you'll look for when you go to the TWRP site, but the link I gave you is for the lt03wifiue .
Have fun!

Goo manager doesn't work on our tablet for install of twrp.
Use the link four posts up for the twrp. Also, just check your SOC with CPUz, to make sure it's actually the right version of twrp for your tablet. But Odin is the way to go.

I'm hoping maybe someone could enlighten me how to get TWRP to boot into TWRP. I had CleanRom installed and everything was working with TWRP. Stupid me I thought I could help battery life by doing a Cache and Dalvik Cache wipe. Bonked my P600! I had to ODIN a new firmware, rooted and tried to get TWRP installed. I've tried the ODIN Tar method 2.6.3.1, Tried with a TWRP zip file and Goo Manager to install TWRP and none worked. When I go to recovery I keep getting the Android System Recovery. My head is banging on my desk at the moment. Would anyone have an idea how to get TWRP working on my rooted and now stock P600? I so want to get Clean 2.0 back. :crying::crying::crying::crying:
A big Thanks in advance for the help.

I recently installed Cyanogenmod on my friends International (GT-19195) GS4 Mini. He said it was glitchy and ****, and he couldn't sign into his Google account. I then turned the phone off, went straight into recovery and installed a stock firmware. Being as dumb as I am, I didn't erase any data or anything whatsoever, I just installed the stock firmware. Now it hangs on the Samsung logo, and I can't get into recovery, pressing the buttons just doesn't work. I can however get into download mode. Help!

re-flash custom recovery twrp or cwm :good: good luck :good:
I'm currently running the stock Rom with build E98020h. I have successfully achieved root access and have verified it through several apps, and also have supersu installed and seemingly operating fine. I have tried using the 'g pro kitkat recovery' app to flash the recovery, and also freegee but freegee at the opening screen says my device is unsupported. When i go into rom manager v5.5.3.7 and try install a custom rom or even just tap boot to recovery i get an error at the loading screen with the LG logo and it sits there. Am i doing something wrong or is the 20h update keeping me from being to successfully reach recovery? Any insight is greatly appreciated.

You could try using LG Flash Tool to go back to stock 4.1.2 (E98010k) and then using FreeGee to bypass and go from there. But idk if that'll work.

I don't think that's possible. You're going to have to flash back to an older version using lg flash tools. If you need to back up anything like texts and contacts, use G Cloud. If you need game data/other data related to specific apps backed up, use Helium. If you're attached to stock try flashing a stock ROM, it will be very similar to your experience now. That'll ensure you get the latest KitKat and still get stock experience... you can always go AOSP too.
thanks... I was hoping to just not have to Flashtools my phone again =P and since its been a while since I checked the forums I wasnt sure if 20h was sorted out yet or not.

I found this elsewhere trying to unlock my e980 that was on 20h when I got it.
OK so I found that G Pro KK recovery elsewhere and installed it but wasn't sure what to do from there.. Which option did you choose when running it? Flash recovery, reboot, or reboot recovery? I tried to reboot to recovery and I got into a CWM recovery, but at that point wasn't sure if I was really there or if I needed to flash the recovery from there or from the app.
I'm dying to get rid of the stock ROM on this thing but there are more steps involved than my previous devices.

All the APK does as I have found out is 'unlocks' the recovery access. After I ran that app I installed Freegee from the app store and installed the CMW recovery from there just to make sure it all was installed and correctly accessible. at that point you just need to download the ROM that you are intending to install and download it. put the zip somewhere in your directory. boot to recovery wipe the necessary mediums and then install from the app and CWM will take care of the rest. Most of the forum threads that have the links to the ROMs will have full instructions on how to install that certain ROM. I can supply links to some if need be. NOT MY THREADS but ones I found helpful.

Yes. Open and run the G Pro Recovery app, once that is done you need to reboot. Install Freegee and open it. I installed CWM. You can use whatever you want. Then I reboot again, once the phone comes back up I used clockwork mods recovery manager to get in and out of recovery. Also, I pulled my SD card out of the phone prior to rooting as I would lose access to it after I did the process. So just to be safe you might want to do that.

Once you take the update then root your device again you have to do a factory reset on your phone in order to flash a recovery. Currently running E98020I, been there, done that! G Pro KitKat then FreeGee. Mic check 1 2, 1 2
