I think this is twrp's fault, install clockworkmod
Root in Samsung ROMs is different from AOSP.
TWRP will always think you are on AOSP, so just don't root again and skip the warning and you'll be fine! However if that didn't work, use philz recovery instead. But I don't think twrp is a problem.

Update philz to latest version or version specified with rom.
Do a 'Clean to install a new ROM' from Philz, then flash the zip you wanted to. After installation clean the cache and Dalvik cache from recovery menu.
If I was in your situation, I would move my important files to safe place, reboot to twrp, "fully" format the phone.
Then start it cleanly, this usually fixes every issue.

whenever i flash any custom rom whether the rom version is android 4.2/4.1.2/4.1.1 , my phone has no bootscreen and a messed up flashscreen when it sais (samsung galaxy note 2 GT-N7100) but then after waiting the appropriate time, the rom works fine but same problem when rebooting... i attached the flashcreen and how it looks like, i have no idea why this happens.i just press the lockscreen after rebooting and waiting and the rom works normally. i rooted using the Galaxy Note II Toolkit v3.0.0 GSM. i first experienced this right after flashing and entering recovery(cmw) but twrp worked fine then, now any rom i flash i experience this,

hi all!
Just received my note 2 n7100 back from insurance claim (smashed screen) and they factory restored it
rooted phone and all was fine but i forgot to use root with cwm.
So i used Mobile Odin to install CWM but now when i try to reboot to recovery it freezes and restarts. The Samsung screen flickers and flashes for few seconds and restarts.
I can get back into the phone after a reboot but i cant install CWM.
I have flashed stock rom and was able to get into stock recovery then tried galaxynote2root.com method to root and CWM but still does the same.
any help?? xx

well if you are able to install twrp or philz just stay with it , as it does the job well specially philz incase u want to try a 4.3rom for now than u need a recovery with 4.3 support which cwm has but maybe even other recovery works on it as I havent tried 4.3 till yet so better use philz and it will help u to stay away from bootloop as it works great with all custom rom

I'm trying to flash CWM on my non-rooted, fully updated T210R. I'm following the instructions on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2433853.
Odin says it flashed successfully, and the tab reboots fine, but when I power off and boot into recovery, I'm getting the stock recovery. I've tried both the touch and non-touch versions, without success.
It's probably something small that I'm missing, but I can't for the life of me find it.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,

did you check auto reboot in odin? if you do, just try to flash cwm again w/o checking auto reboot. it happens to my tab coz i've check auto reboot.
Just tried that. Same results. Everything looks good when flashing, but when I boot into recovery it's the stock recovery.

1.Dont check the autoreboot. Ketut.kumajaya said something about the system is restoring recovery when rebooting
2. Try to redownload the cwm recovery.
3. If that didnt work, What odin are u using? Try 3.07 ..
4. You can also try twrp. I am using twrp and it is working great

I will recreate an autoroot package for you in my spare time. Samsung Android boot image has a known feature to patch the boot image and use it to overwrite the recovery image on every boot. This feature disabled in blackhawk kernel, some recovery has a capability to disable this feature as well.

Yes, you can flash it on stock rom (with CWM), but OTG isn't functioning yet.
I am trying to install the W03 Slim ROM V7 on my Tmobile Galaxy Note 3 through Philz recovery and I am getting stuck in a boot loop.
These are the steps I tried
1. Used Chainfire's root method to root Kitkat 4.4.2 (which was updated through kies). Used the N9005 and not N900T like the instructions asked me to
2. Flashed Philz Recovery through Odin
3. Copied the ROM and Gapps to my Phone.
4. Rebooted into recovery
5. Wiped Data/Factory reset, Install from Zip, wipe cache, wipe dalvik and reboot.
This is where I get stuck. The phone boots with these words on the top left, "Recovery not enforcing seandroid" or something along those lines and keeps booting. I booted back to Recovery and 'Re'wiped' the phone/did a factory reset, but nogo
So I downloaded the right stock firmware from Sammobile, installed through Odin and repeated the steps and still the same issue.
What am I doing wrong? I made sure I am flashing hltetmo (for TMo Note 3).
Correct me if im wrong but if you flashed the new bootloader I don't think you can go back to 4.3 roms anymore.

Sounds like a Recovery issue to me. Please look one more time and make sure if you used PHILZ TOUCH that you did in fact flash 6.19.3 HLTE. and not HLTETMO. Im also using philz and no problems flashing. However before it was known that this was the version to use, I did loop at the same point when experimenting with other versoins. Also, check your MD5 and verify that it is a good download.... maybe re download just for gits and shiggles.

Had the same bootloop issue when I just tried it out. I updated my bootloader when I updated to stock KK through odin. I am assuming by 4.3 you mean the bootloader on SlimRom is the 4.3 bootloader even though it is a 4.4.2 rom?

Thanks everyone. It does look like it is the bootloader issue.
How do we determine if a particular ROM supports a particular bootloader version? At least the ROMs I have sort of explored and wanted to try, dont mention that anywhere. Or maybe they use some geek term to reference that but I dont understand it. How do noobs like me determine the bootloader version and compatibility of a particular ROM (before flashing and finding out the hard way)???

Hi all,
l tried to install DN3 v4 on my n7100 several times now, following exact instructions, but I always got stuck on this error: "Expecting 5 args got only 3". The installation is aborted at that point and the device is stuck in a bootloop . Only thing I can do is install stock rom using Odin , not really what I want.
Anyone else encountered this problem? Anyone knowing a solution? I would really like to use the wonderful DN3 rom, so if anyone has any idea how I can fix this, please... I would be very grateful...
Thanks in advance,
RuVaSky
Just read in another thread someone had a similar problem (on another device) and the issue would be related to Philz Recovery, not to the rom. He fixed the problem using twrp instead of Philz.
Don't know if that would be the solution for my problem too, I will give it a try and post the results as an update of this thread, so if anyone else would encounter the same problem they can find the solution here...

You can try this:
Download the ROM again
Get LATEST Philz recovery
Now after you do the full wipe in philz, go to install section and take off the x from the option says "verify something (can't remember the option name).
Then install the DN3 ROM from sdcard/extsdcard
Reboot
I think should work hopefully

I did already try with latest version of Philz, but with the same results,
Now I used TWRP instead and after a few times it all worked out fine. So I really have to conclude the problem was indeed with the recovery. No idea why, but it seems I'm not the only one who experienced this.
So in the future I will always use TWRP instead of Philz... But I'm fed up for a while now, it will take some time before I will change my rom again ...?

I've had the same problem with TWRP,
Hi guys, I have a problem flashing the Release Candidate ( RC)dn3rom, as it always got stocked at the first booting animation. I'm on v4.1beta2. I've search, red and followed almost all instructions b4 posting this.
Here are some things I've done,
I've flash rom with twrp v2.7.0, and wiped all except ext sd,
I also flashed the rom with Philz recovery v6.19, and I went further to flash my bootloader to mj5 according to the instructions I red at the Opening Page but still all to no avail.
I believe I should be able to install this rom successful by the help of the great E-TEAM and her families.
So guyz, PLEASE, what else can I do?
