Hi, I just noticed the glass over my camera lens or whatever it is is scratched. I've been searching for replacement parts but everywhere i see, there's only full housing/backplate sold in the net..Some of it doesn't even come with the glass thingy.
May I know whether I can find it anywhere?
Thanks.

i think it´s attached to the lens and sensor, so you must replace the whole camera part. no warranty if it´s not attached because i don´t know it exactly

At around 2:12 , you'll see the glass is not attached to the sensor. It is with the backplate. Problem is I can't find anyone selling just that piece of plastic/glass..

Hello Guys.
I dropped my phone today and when I lifted it up my screen was blue/black. I pulled the battery out and turned it on. Most of the screen is black and can't see anything. There are strips of blue pixels here and there.
What exactly is broken and what do i need to replace. I obviously need to replace the Glass frame/screen, LCD ... do I need to replace the digitizer as well?
If anyone knows about this please help me out.

Is better change the complete set to avoid dust under the digitizer.

As long as I know any T999 i535 I747 will be compatible except I9300. I dont know why but some T999 users havd problems.
Is a good deal indeed. But If you can find some with frame includes will ve a very sweet deal.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/US-Samsung-...e_Replacement_Parts_Tools&hash=item51ae2b66ce
I know sound expensive but you only will have to change the mainboard and components very easy without any need of stick or glue to install it on the frame.

Yeah I heard it should work and is cross compatible. But my question is if on that eBay link.. Are they selling everything I need to fix my problem or do I need to buy something else? I
It says: 1. Front Glass Touch Screen Digitizer Panel + LCD Display Screen pre-assembled without frame
That's all I need ?
Thanks

Yes, the only concern I have is the glue used to join the frame with the screen, if isn't professional installed this will be falling soon or getting dust an sand under the screen. Thats why I recommend the entire frame and screen set...

Unfortunately I don't have that money right now so I will settle with the cheaper method. I will try and see how it goes.
Thank you for your help.
I've developed two cracks in my frame, in opposite corners, where the plastic has actually fallen away in a decent-sized chunk. This is in the glossy plastic that directly bumps up against the glass.
Anyone know if this is a part I can locate online and replace myself? I replaced my Nexus 4 screen without difficulty (although that included the full front frame assembly), so I'm not afraid of the process, but I can't seem to find anything related to this part online.
Thanks!

That appears to be the screen, itself. My screen isn't broken. I'm looking for the plastic frame AROUND the glass screen.

Not to even mention the fact that what's posted is for the 2012 model.
That being said, is this what you mean?

Ha, I managed to miss the wrong year, too.
And yes! The part that's pulled up in your photo is exactly what's cracked/broken on mine. I should have posted a photo, myself, to make it easier on people, but thought my description would be enough.

Sadly, our friend, while providing the wrong part, may have indeed been on the right track, looking at the teardown that 'part' seems to be part of the display assembly, it's rather hard to tell without taking apart my own device (not gonna happen), so I am going by teardown images etc.
In short, I doubt you will find that 'ring' by itself, however, you may be able to find a cracked device (with that part intact) for cheaper than a display assembly.
The image I posted comes from a recent G+ post, perhaps you'll want to keep an eye on it, maybe someone will find something.

If it were I, I'd go for some superglue and a fosmon tpu rear cover.

I really like the size of this thing as it is. I switched from a full case with magnetic cover to a slipcover just because I realized it was so much more comfortable to hold bare.

I hear you, I have the fosmon I posted, and it really does not add much at all, but obviously everyone's tolerance is different. Anyhow, hope you find a solution to your liking.
My Moto Z Play isn't even a week old and has small scratches at the bottom back. Nothing alarming mind you but disapointing when it's new.
Now while I was searching to know why Gorrila Glass would scratch so easy ( as I really really really really pamper my phone) I found this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=69706641&postcount=7
That would explain it. It's not the glass that scratched but rather that plastic film (if I have one my phone).
If so, can I/should I remove it?

Hi guys, I made a research, but there is nothing on the net. I have LG G3 EU ver. 32gb and I am using it with love mei case. The problem is that I have strange spots on the upper of the lcd. I will attach a picture. So please help if u can.
The IPS started separating from the glass front. Either a new display with glass or a very risky re gluing procedure.

If the glue they use is of poor quality, then yes, but only after a long time of use.

Don't think so, but it doesn't hurt if you try and look around. LG doesn't manufacture the phone, so probably ORIGINAL pars are gone. But you can find a dead device to use for parts if you need, way better than searching for individual parts.
