As I replied to you on AndroidForums, MOGA Pro Power is the way to go http://www.amazon.com/POWER-MOGA-Pro-Electronic-Games-Game/dp/B00FB5RBJM/

A double thank you good sir
Again looks awesome

if you already own a controller you can use something like this(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=284DnVEHwNE) or you can use an app to use your xbox controller whit it

I really like the Gametel, works great for emulators.

Bluetooth Gamepad

Sup guys? I was wondering if there are any Bluetooth gamepads out that work with the EVO? Any help would be appreciated
First of all, you won't be able to use a bluetooth gamepad on the stock HTC Sense ROM. The only way that I know of to get it working is to root and install Cyanogen Mod. Then install Wiimote Controller from the market (free) and you can use a Wii controller with bluetooth.
If you want more buttons/options, there's the Datel Retro Wireless controller (wiimote replacement) or the Nintendo Classic Controller Pro, which has to be tethered to a wiimote. Same goes for the Nyko Wing.

Which one?
You can get a wiimote anywhere. Ebay is always a good option.
The Datel controllers are harder to come by, you'll have to Google it.

Oh sorry I read that too fast. I thought it was more complicated - thought you needed hardware in addition to the wiimote.
Are there any controllers you can use that have more keys than a wiimote? (or is that Datel)
wiimote woudl be great for NES, but for SNES seems like it wouldn't work so well.
So there is no possible way to get a Bluetooth controller to work unless my phone is rooted? That really sucks. If anyone knows of a way to get a controller to work without root please let us know

Right. It's not an Android issue, it's an HTC issue. Some (all?) of their phones, including the Evo cannot work with a Bluetooth gamepad out of the box for some reason. Speculation was that they mucked with the Bluetooth stack in Sense but the latest reports say that's untrue, there's some other reason it's not working.
Regardless, you've gotta root if you want Bluetooth gaming on your Evo.
On the upside, rooting rocks for a lot of other reasons so don't be discouraged

Yeah, that's what I was saying about the Datel / Nyko Wing / Nintendo Classic Controllers.
The Classic Controller is identical, button-wise, to a SNES controller
The Classic Controller Pro is like a mix between a SNES and a Gamecube controller. It's the best for PSX games since it has 2 R/L buttons and joysticks.

damn so we're looking at around $65 for that route. And it's annoying that you have to carry around two controllers! Wish there was another standalone bluetooth controller with more buttons!

Thinking about this thing but L / R Buttons are in bad location and I don't particularly like the design.

Well you can get a Wiimote and a Classic Controller Pro for about $10 each on eBay, so it's not that bad.
Carrying 2 controllers does suck, yes. The Datel is the best option, if you can find it, but that's like $50+

Yes you can use a bluetooth gamepad with sense installed. I use the BGP-100 bluetooth gamepad with my stock EVO. However the wiimote will not work.

Really?? I didn't know that worked with Sense. Cool.
Though I always thought that controller looked sorta janky and wouldn't be the best to play on. What are your experiences?
What emu's have you tried it with? I play PSX on my Evo so the R+L buttons are important. Looks like that gamepad only has one each?

That's the Nyko Wing I was telling you about. It still needs a Wiimote - it's got a wireless transceiver that plugs into a Wiimote extension port (where you'd plug a nunchuck into). So it's technically wireless but you still need a Wiimote handy to use it.

The gamepad is more comfortable than it looks. But, there is a tiny bit of lag when pressing the button to when actually seeing an onscreen action. It works great with RPG's, but takes getting used to with faster paced games. I only played with the Gameboy Advance emulator so far.
I did buy the PSX emulator but havent had the time to play any PSX games on it yet. I also did a hard reset on my phone after installing FROYO so I have to reinstall the gamepad drivers. I'll have more time this weekend to play around with the gamepad, so I'll give you a better update. I'll also post some vids.

No dice. PS3 controllers don't work [yet, if ever]. The developer of the Wiimote Controller app recently got a PS3 controller to try to develop compatibility for it but the last I heard he said it was a completely different animal and would not be so easy to do. I wouldn't hold my breath.

Cool, thanks for the info. Sounds like I'd still probably rather stick with a Wiimote just for playability/flexibility. I like the compactness of yours though... and yours would be a great fit for FF7, etc with the PSX emu.

That's good news he's working on it, bad news it's hard. A ps3 controller, xbox 360 controller, a dreamcast controller, sega genesis, snes, ANYTHING but a wiimote would have been better can't believe they only put two buttons on the thing. Oh well! Time to search for cheap wiimotes lol

Yep. On the other hand the Wiimote is actually the best option for an original NES/Gameboy emu, if that's what you're after. Plus you can get a hacked original NES controller accessory for the Wiimote on eBay if you REALLY want the authentic retro thing
Personally I think the best options are:
NES / Gameboy: Wiimote only
SNES / Sega plus above: Wiimote + Classic Controller
PSX plus above: Wiimote + Classic Controller Pro
Or, if you can find it/are willing to splurge, the Datel Retro Wireless for everything.

Gaming pad for HTC ONE

Hi All,
Been looking at getting a gaming controller for my htc one, i want one that holds the phone as well as lets you use a controller, so i can go and
play gta etc.. with ease.
Anyone got any experience with any ??
Seen this : http://buy.thegameklip.com/products/gameklip-casemount
Looks good but does anybody know if the ps3 controller works with htc one (there is a checker here if you have root https://play.google.com/store/apps/...Rpb3Muc2l4YXhpc2NvbXBhdGliaWxpdHljaGVja2VyIl0.
Also ive seen the mogo pro controller : http://www.engadget.com/2013/01/10/moga-pro-hands-on/
Which looks perfect but no info about a UK release, just US.
There is this as well, I have it on order myself.

Thanks that one idea out.
I do love the moga one its looks perfect, just hoping that once it released on Monday in the US it will pop up online in places.
That bluetooth one of ebay says it has issues with android 4.0 (guessing this will mean it has issues with 4.1 as well)
Also im sure ive read somewhere that the flip at the top doesnt stretch far enough to fit a s3 in it, hence it might not fit the one!
why o why cant someone just bring out a good one and sell it world wide.
I'm hoping the Moga Pro turns out to be decent as I'll be in the US in a few Months so I'll pick one up then, unless a UK reseller pops up beforehand!

I think I am going to try the Moga pro! It looks awesome.
The sixaxis app does not work with the HTC ONE due to the required bluetooth protocol not being implemented.
OTG doesn't work either. You don't even get the local bluetooth adress in the sixaxis app! :crying:

I have the smaller moga controller AND the Nyko Playpad (smaller one)
the moga is nice but... it does not support any app but MOGA certified ones out of the box, meaning if its not a moga supported game it will not work, BUT! there is a "MOGA IME" around that u can install and it will allow you to use it with your non moga apps, but only with key mapping, there is no way to map touch controls. The moga runs on 2 AAA batteries
The nyko playpad is nice as well, it has the ability to be use as a controller or even a mouse for android, but their "playground" app doesn't support touch mapping yet and it doesnt have a built in mount to hold the phone, it does however come with a stand that can be used for phones OR tablets, it is rechargable
In all honesty, having tried the 2 main competitors I have both because some games wont work with one but will with the other, in the end tho, the sixaxis is probably the best bet, and even with that there is an annoying lag when playing games with any of these methods, I actually just gave up on using the controllers mostly, the only time i use them now is for my SNES and GBA emulator's

Does it not work over usb OTG at all? Or only before getting rid of sense? I bought one of these to use with my ps3 controller and every usb pairing, management app out there says it detects my controller, I have the HTC one but when I plug in the controller nothing happens. Do I have to get rid of sense? I don't knwo why that would interfere with it. I'm kind of pissed because other phones just plug n play and I have this amazing new top of the line phone that can't do it without deleting the main software? I don't even wanna mess around with that kind of stuff lol
I've got a regular moga... May see how it works for me. It was useless for me since my sensation is too slow to play good games now and my N7 just uses an Xbox controller with USB wire.
By far best controller for phones is the phonejoy iv had a lot now and this has lasted me over two years of hardcore emulator action it is supported by all ime apps and most emulators already it's a great option and is an exact ps3 replica but works with any phones bluetooth

Moga Pro

Hello,
I would like to know if the moga pro is worth the money or not.
I seriously need a controller for my htc ine to play on and is there any other alternative??
also if i buy from powera.com it's costing me 120$ with shipping and that's a lot.
I live in India so any idea where i can buy that controller or any other at affording money??

Yep. Back in the day we could never get any bluetooth accessory to work but a headset or speaker. No controllers keyboards mice or anything. HTC stock kernel does not support bluetooth input devices. Most any custom kernel will. Moga has done something with their controller and app so that it works on the stock HTC kernel.
Myself I use the Moga Pocket model and it is working fine with the HTC One.
For this model you must be rooted and use the universal driver to be able to use it with emulators and so. (Not sure how this is with the pro model)
I would say it is worth the money, the only thing missing on the Moga Pocket model is the Dpad but the Pro model you are looking after does have this.
If you like gaming a controller is a must have, the reason I love this device is because you can insert your phone and hold it as one device.
A few down sides are:
- When you are gaming somewhere and need to go to the toilet for example, you will not be able to put it in your pocket quickly without disassembling it first.
- It uses batteries, so take some extra with you. (Sure sucks to have juice left in your phone but your controller is all out.
When using this controller (or any controller) with the app called "GameKeyboard"you can map pretty much every game to work with it.
(Even if they do not support hardware key mapping.)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.locnet.gamekeyboard&hl=nl
Kind regards, Stefan.
The issue with the cost is likely due to importing fees in your country.

Game Controllers for the Nexus

Anyone have any good suggestions on one of those new "Android Controllers" that you out your phone into and it'll work with certain games?
I recently downloaded Sonic, and have a big interest to playing it on my phone, as well as GTA, but I can't stand using my fingers on the screen, as its either too small of a screen for fat thumbs, or my finger dries up and it feels like it drags against the screen because of the heat.
One other thing is the compatibility. What games would and wouldn't work with the controller? Do I need an extra app for it to work? Ideally, I would love to download a psx emulator and play my FFVII again, since I doubt they will release it on mobile OS anytime soon.
And lastly, what about using my Xbox One controller? I won't go out to buy a ps3 or 360 controller, because then I might as well buy the ones they make for the phones.
Thank you in advance!

Regarding certain apps, it is compatible with some actually. I'm not sure which Sonic game you're referring to. It its not compatible with Sonic Dash, but it does work with Sonic CD Lite, for example. I just know that because it is explicitly stated in the app's description. The best way to know which apps the Moga series (there's 4 out currently but the Moga Pro 1st generation is more than sufficient) work with is to read the description when you download the app usually.
There's also an app that the controller comes with, on a slip of paper basically, that you can download and it lists Moga compatible apps. I forgot the name of it but just search for Moga in the play store. I'm not sure how often its updated so I've personally never relied on it...
For emulators, I haven't came across any popular emulators that ISNT compatible with Moga, or any other Bluetooth controller. To use a PS3 controller, for example, you have to be rooted, which is one reason why I recommend sticking with a Moga Pro.
I currently play Power Stone Collection on PPSSPP flawlessly. It takes a bit of configuring to get the controller and button mappings to work depending on the emulator, but thats easily done with a bit of googling or youtubing. But yes, the Moga Pro is definitely compatible with psx emulators (especially the major 2, epsxe and the other one...)
Yeah, I recommend the Moga Pro simply from the standpoint that it is the most compatible with games. If a game supports any controller it's probably going to support the Moga. The Moga Pro Power is usually cheaper than the original Moga Pro since the original was discontinued.
http://www.amazon.com/POWER-MOGA-Pr...1?ie=UTF8&qid=1398434121&sr=8-1&keywords=moga
It has a better clip for the phone and a better d-pad, plus has a large rechargeable battery that can power your phone if you want. I don't use the charging capability but the extra weight from the battery gives it a better feel (less top heavy).
You can connect the Moga in a generic Bluetooth controller mode or the "Moga" mode. I honestly haven't found any games that support a controller but don't work in the Moga mode. Some more obscure emulators may require you to switch it to the generic mode and configure the buttons manually, but I haven't found any.

The diff is the battery capacity. Moga is THE controller lol. But I have the Kickstarter Drone Controller which I really like as well. I played with the Moga and that is the go to, but I am a casual gamer and after the impulse controller, I didn't expect much from the Drone, but I was surprisingly wrong lol.

The Hero is a smaller form factor. It drops the "handles" so that it can be tossed in a bag more easily.
The reason it's more expensive is that it's backordered from Amazon so you're seeing a third party seller who is ripping people off. If you order it from Amazon it's only $40.
I recommend the Moga Pro also... It works great with Dead Trigger 2, MC4, Dungeon Hunter 4... Download the Moga Pivot app to see exactly what games are compatible.

[Q] Using m8 as ps3 controller
