Well I think it's mainly to fix the bugs so when we do get JB we have no issues.
That's my guess.
But you were right again, when is the next one coming. Lol

Strange thing is each update is a little bigger than the last. LI1=7.4mb, LI2=9.5mb, and LI5=9.9mb. Wonder why if only radio/kernel updates.
I think we are getting very close to a stable release across all carriers...

Why not just flash the update in stock recovery? You can use ota rootkeeper to protect root.
Also the pro version of mobile odin will flash any of the full fw releases as well as the otas, and it'll reinject root during the process. (Its now my preferred method)
Most people arent going to want to give you their nandroid. theres too much personal info on it. Even those like me who make one right after flashing will be very cautious about this. Theres almost always something in there that is easily forgotten to clear. You could get lucky and find someone willing to do it, just dont get your hopes up too much.

Hey doc got some questions for ya. I came to the gs3 from nexus s 4g. With the ns4g I could always just flash new ROMs and updates in cwm. It seems the process is a bit more complicated on gs3. I purchased mobile Odin, and I've used the PC version a couple of times, but I'm not that comfortable with it. First day I got my gs3 I flashed Mr. Robinson's root injected uvlah2 and just stuck with that. A couple nights ago I finally flashed a new radio and it has helped my signal. I want to make sure my phone is ready for the jb update so what would you suggest?

Hello!
I have tried looking for other people having this problem but found nothing!
The problem is, when watching a video, it will run perfectly but when the things that let you fast forward/pause/rewind go away the screen pauses, but the audio continues on! So now I have to watch videos on YouTube and even the gallery with the bar at the bottom!
No one else is having this problem?! If anyone knows how to fix it I will slap that thanks button!

I have CR ATT SE 3.0 and it really has quite a few annoying issues. I'd like to switch ROMs. I don't care if it's AOSP or modified stock ROM. I just want it to be relatively bug free and good for at least a couple months without having to do another big ROM switch.
Also if it's AOSP someone will have to bring me up to speed on how to get over to it from stock 4.1.2. I don't think it's just a simple wipe and flash.

If you're on Clean Rom then you might want to stick to a TW based Rom. You can just move to the most recent Clean Romthat's out..
That way you shouldn't run into any issues with it.
But there are also a lot of good AOSP Rom out there if you really have to install one. Just check the one stop shop for your Rom needs!!

Someone is trying to help you on a thread that will be closed anyway and your getting mad? Read the different threads of roms that interest you, or at least the last couple of pages to see what issues people are having. What you may think is a bug, someone else may never have a problem. And it's not difficult to try a rom and see if you like it. Hope this helps before the thread is closed.

The only thing that make the call bug goes away is plug in your headphone before answering or making a phone call. It's too much of a hassle so I went back to the Unofficial CM 10.1 ROM. I've been using it for a few weeks and it's been very stable.

So Ive never had a device (even on sprint) that has no development to be seen within a weeks period of time. I believe the Root we have is from other devices and the CM 10.2 build that was posted was something that was supposed have never seen the light of day and was broken. I totally love this phone but I was really excited for the development aspects since its basically nexus 5 with a different shell. Development is under way. There are 2 devs working on a CM 10.2 ROM right now and another working on a version of CleanROM for us. Its going to take some time and the phone hasn't been out for a week yet.
Also the CM 10.2 ROM was removed because the build was not tested and verified by the dev to be working and they removed the links to it in case it caused a potential brick to the phone. People who downloaded the ROM say it had GPS lock and rotation issues so you don't want to download the ROM anyways. In fact they saved you the hassle of reverting back to stock or a nandroid backup. Read the last few posts in that CM 10.2 thread to get a sense of the situation.
I am not worried at all about the "lack of interest" in this phone. You have to remember that not all the potential devs have received the phone yet such as garwynn who probably just received the phone today. Lets give the potential devs some time to come out with new ROMs and other mods. There are enough ways currently to mod the current stock ROM anyways through Xposed and other mods like (increase volume).
Its only been a week. Our device was rootable even before Sprint released it. I'm not worried. For now I've been using Greenify + Titanium Backup to keep my phone in battery/performance BEAST MODE.
Sent from my LG-LS980 using xda app-developers app
Install G2 xposed and you'll see you can do a lot of the customization yourself. There's also an xposed kitkat theme in the theme's section by ock. The device is already fast and ignoring aosp roms, you can customize the stock rom to your liking.

And as to the xposed stuff, Im atually just interested in some slimed down stock roms and AOSP, but thanks for making sure I knew about it

So far I've rooted, download rom, installed twrp, tried flashing it but it booted stuck on carbon logo. It may be because I don't have the gapps file.
Any one with a link to 4.3.1 gapps?
