We recently got the 8.4 pro and I'm not very familiar with android yet, so its a learning curve. We have several user accounts and I added some apps under mine, but how do you add the same app in another? I can see them in the downloads, but can't figure out how to add them.
Thanks!
I have the same issue. From what I found you either have to set only one Gmail account on device or root it and give access to the rest of users.

Hello guys i am thinking of creating an app for this platform bring the best of shopping list apps and health apps in one unified app that can all these simple works for you. Like i want the health app to fully integrated into the accounts of shopping list so that in each day you have a full report on which items where your money was spent on and i will also include both cash and bank account in case you want to beware also with how your bank account is worth. I just have one main problem the app will require the user to enter alot of items and backing up is another major problem. i need some to help me on the sync, i want the app to b able to sync may be to the users preferred email address
If you want development advice you need to ask way more specific. It sounds like you don't even know what sync is.
Or what healthcare actually means.
I signed up with Google Docs and I am trying to get everything under one roof. However, I cannot figure out how to change the email account that is associated with my Dell Streak 7.
I added the email account but I cannot figure out how to associate this account to my tablet.
Can this be done and if so how?
I have found a lot of threads
How do I change the google account associated with the android market account on my Droid?
Change default Google account [SOLVED] - this one did not work for me
Remove/change main google account
Is it possible to change your linked gmail account or do you have to do a phone reset - I don't have "Google Apps" in the settings.
I really don't want to do a factory reset. I also found RemoveAccGoogle Desire.rar - but I don't know if this will really work.
Thanks!
This is basically what I did and it seemed to work:
This is what I did - before doing a factory reset and it has worked out well for me.
I went into the Android Market and looked at all my downloads. I then chose View source to get the page information and pasted it into Expression Web. This of course created a basic replica of the pages. Fortunately, it was only three pages.
Once this was done, I removed the SD card, just in case. I then did the factory reset and added my new account. I can now easily click on the links from the pages to install the programs.
Maybe removing the SD card did not allow the programs that were installed on there to be "re-installed", but it should not matter.
Maybe there was a different way but I could not get them to work.
Just in case here is the final pages with the Google Account change. I have not installed the new apps just yet, but maybe this will help some people:
Page 1
Page 2
Page 3
I thought google allowed linking the two accounts.
EDIT: Mod please correct spelling in topic title. Rushing combined with no proofreading isn't good.
I searched, couldn't really find what I felt was accurate information with what little was available. I need to change Gmail cause the one associated with my DInc is years old & become cluttered with junk. I realize I can export my contacts from the original then import to the new at which point they should sync with that account.
Big question. What about apps? How can the purchase history be changed, app info backed up. Just any opinions, advice or whatever. Prefer to do it right the first time.
Basically would like to have work completely as is but with fresh address.

Since everything is associated with your Gmail account, I presume you'll have to contact Google about it. I am not sure if they've made changes to allow that or not. You also could contact the developer of the app, they may be able to help out too. It seems like it is an issue for a lot of people, so if you find an answer, please share your steps!
For apps I guess it would depend upon how you paid for them. I use Google Checkout so all my app purchases are linked to my account. The dev has to keep that information somewhere to verify that you bought it but not sure that you could get it out of them that easily a lot are just ma and pa devs and who knows what they keep around. Also not sure if Google allows you to rename your email address but it might be an option in account settings. That way you don't have to open a new account and all your Google accounts would be updated.
I went into my account but didn't see any thing in the settings which would allow you to rename the email account. Google tech support might be able to do it if you contacted them.
Greetings! I am researching a new smartphone purchase. I have been using HTCs for the past 6 years or so and have become very accustomed to the Sense UI. So much so that I don't have much comfort with anything else. It really comes down to 2 apps that HTC use that are the deal breakers for me. The mail and the messages apps.
So that leads me to my question for the Robin users. I was wanting to know how similar those two apps were to the HTC sense apps. And in particular in the mail app when an Exchange account is created does the app consolidate all of the folders of the inbox into one display? Or do you have to browse each folder in order to know if there is any new mail in that folder? I have tried and tried to adapt to an AOSP type UI and because of the functionality of these 2 apps I can't get comfortable.
I would appreciate any direction on this before I commit to purchasing one.
Thanks!
The Robin uses Gmail as its email app. You can see how it feels right now by downloading it and adding your email account. The messaging app is very similar to Google Messenger. The only difference between the two is that it doesn't color contact names (they're all a turquoise color) and it doesn't have the quick reply option that Google Messenger does. So again, you can download Google Messenger here and pretty much get the feeling of the app.
Hi
I'll be really grateful if someone can help me figure out how to add another (android) user account on samsung M30.
According to my online search it should have a user option in settings menu. However, its not visible on my phone. Am I missing something here?
It is not visible. I am also looking for same
Hi, I have an M30 with last pie update. I know that some android menus or functions may vary depending the phone region. In my case you have to go to settings menu/accounts and backup/accounts/add account/select Google/then will start your Google account registration process.
I hope this solve your problem.
I believe OP (and me) are looking for how to add a User account, not a google account. Adding a User account creates a whole new user space, in which you can add your separate google (or other) normal accounts.
Ok, I'm sorry. I didn't know that our m30 has that function.
