I just bought a few Carbon Fiber Vinly for my car decoration, but the colour does not quite fit to my car. So I thought I could use them for my Moto G decoration.
So here it comes, the DIY Copycat of Official Moto G flip shell white. It doesn't look quite bad, actually. I did not have a magnet rubber on hand. Otherwise, I will use that for the front cover to make it magnetic.
That actually looks really good.
Really good.... Want to try out... But Whic carbon fiber to use?? N how to cut it

It is easy to find different colors of Carbon Fiber Vinyl from Ebay (just a couple of dollars), which are usually for car decoration. It is actually quite easy to stick on the back cover. However, you might need a heat gun or hair dryer to heat it a little bit when bending to the edges. Just trying more times.
Thanks, good DIY, good idea.

Just thought I'd check, can you get the leather case on over the top of the hard case?
None of the leather cases that I have seen give much protection from falls, but I like the look of the leather case.

I got the Nilkin leather case too. It's nice, but there is no cutout for the notification area! Major oversight!

Also, the flip cover slips up and down slightly
Ive got the hard plastic one. Been using it for three days now and from corners it seems to be the first layer of the case has started to peel off. I do not put it in the pocket with keys or anything like that i handle the phone with care. So kinda dissapointed about this one.
Will see how it ll look after some time, but prolly will need to buy another case and stay off China ones.

Is there a case for the Moto G that doesn't get dust on the edges? I have a cruzerlite and it gets dust like crazy!~

I'm using the Trident Augis for the Moto G. Initially it picks up dust like a Hoover vacuum but soon after the new wears off the rubber it's great. See the thread called "finally found the one case for the Moto G" or something like that under accessories.

And yeah, my Trident case doesn't pick up much dust. But I'm not sure the OP would want a bulkier case than the Cruzerlite.
Got this case on Monday and have been using it since. While the color isnt quite what I want for an everyday case it does feel and look nice. All the buttons are exposed as well as the charging port. Haven't noticed any flash bleed. Has a slightly slick feel but not enough where I feel like it's going to fall out of my hand. I'd definitely recommend it to someone looking for a slim case.

Zukin Wine Red Poly Case Xperia Z1
Hi guys,
Just received my Zukin case and I have to say its really nice, very thin but seems that it is sturdy enough, all corners are covered and fits nice and snug. It has a good feel grippy enough but not too harsh if holding for a long period. Only one thing, there is no hole for a lanyard to fit through, which for me is..... I just like to have a lanyard for security especially when taking photos, but this does not reflect on build quality. Overall, great price and look from Zukin.
I got one of these from their ebay store. Quite like it.

Hehe I got one of these to off of eBay but it's called a Pudini case
Good case though and it fits the DK31 dock

I am sharing this. I used PITAKA case for my S8 and now S10 Plus.
In short, its a lovely, sexy, beautiful and ultra slim case. If you want slim case, this is the one.
link:-
MOD EDIT: LINK REMOVED
My review
- Very slim and minimal
- Strong and durable
- Wireless charging compatible (tested myself)
- Easy to clean and wash
- Sexy and cool look (carbon fiber pattern)
I took some real photos too.
Photos as attached.
Looks really nice
This is my first go with Pitaka. I was a little hesitant at first because of the price (plus I already have two other slim cases). I ended up getting the case, MagMount Qi car charger, and power adapter.
Am I happy I did? Absolutely!
I usually used Spigen slim fit cases that have a space for a metal disk inside so I can use my magnetic car mount. Well The problem with that is wireless charging doesn't work. The Pitaka solves this problem, no more taking my case off when I wireless charge and able to use their MagMount Qi magnetic car mount (with fast wireless charging built in).
Don't you guys find the case slippery? The sides are a bit low to grip comfortably.

Absolutely stunning case and slim. I think it's worth the price.
Yes, it's a bit slippery. But my hands are big enough. I think the way for smaller hands to grip is well without slipping is to have some ring stand to paste at the back of the phone.
I've been using this week.. I'm used to the little bit of slippery. I just find it uncomfortable for me to one hand with the sides low... I plan to use when I'm going out at night... Throw in my suit pocket... Good pics OP

Okay now my thoughts on this case :
Profile is super slim like using the phone naked. It's protection is for keeping the back and sides scratch free.. I've not dropped my phone yet [emoji1317] let's hope we keep it this way lol.. You are not going to have screen protection as the sides hug the phone normal without a lip.. I would suggest a screen protector with this case. Case is QI compatible so you can wireless charge normally.. Also it's magnetic backing enables you to place on magnetic mount like I do in my car vent.. Grip felt a little more slippery at first than I wanted but as the week went by it felt more natural to me.. Though I would like it to be more grippy .. I think this will be my go out at night case where I can slip into my jacket pocket or pants with no bulk.. I think one con for me it's not being able to place phone face down.. I don't have screen protector so I'm afraid to scratch up my screen.. Also I've had a few accidental touches on sides while going about using my phone daily.. It's not the case issue but phone as Samsung having the curved edges would be the reason for it.. So things you need to consider when purchasing.. Price is on the higher end with likes of the UAG and Otterbox cases..

None. Just slim case without cover on screen. Not a flip cover case.

Anyone found a source for a high quality thin CF case compatible with magnetic mounts? (comparable to Pitaka)
BTW, Pitaka rep tells me they have no plans for Pixel 5 Mag Case.
Latercase has one. And you could put a metal plate behind the case for maganet.

I tried that with another case and somehow it never works as well as when the case has it built in.

You don't need a magnètic case! I pot my Pixel directly over my magnetic car stand and it attaches to it! Allso the Apple MagSafe attaches to pixel too!
