Can you get to the bootloader menu and does it charge or show charge indication when turned off

Borrow a battery from a friend who has the same phone, or try using a different charger AND CABLE to charge your phone.
Either the battery or charger is probably not working.

And if you don't have a different charger nor know a friend who has one, go to a T Mobile store. They will help you. They have chargers right behind the counter to test stuff like this with.

well i fell asleep with my phone on the charger and when i woke up i touched my phone and it was really hot. Ive never had my phone so hot before, so i pulled out the charger and pulled out the battery and let it sit until it cooled down. Now when i try and turn it on a blue LED light blinks and it disappears . Any help?

Yes i am on ICS and I am on AOKP
Does it blink on its own, or when you hold down buttons? Will it stay off w/o pulling the battery? If it is a steady blue light when your not touching it, its bricked.

it doesn't blink on its own. it blinks when i press the power button and then it goes off, i tried recovery and everything.

try to enter download mode by holding volume down and power, even if the screen doesnt turn on see if odin will recognize it, its your only hope.
Sounds like its overheated! This happened to me before where my phone got so hot when charging that it shut off with a blue light. I just took out the battery and set them down and let them cool for a while. Were you using the charger that came with it or a diffrrent one? It seemed to me like the charger I was using when it happened caused it cause its never happened again.

I just went through the same exact thing this weekend. Phone would not do a thing besides the steady blue led... Thanks to good ol tep I now have a new phone, not refurbed...

He's not having a steady blue though he said its blinking...I don't see how it could brick itself if he was just charging it overnight

well i let it sit for 30mins to 1 hour without anything plugged in. Im now trying to charge it but its overheating again.

u were using aokp? what kernel? what recovery? any other mods? would like to know! thanks! sounds like its bricked!
Just a theory but is it possible that it fried the battery out and now it won't turn on cause it pretty much has a dead battery? Do you happen to have access to another battery you could try and see if it comes on? Also when you plug in the power cord with the battery in does the screen come on with the charging screen(battery with green fill showing charge level)?

Yep, sounds like it fried the battery out when it got hot. Get a new battery and try turning it on then. Hopefully it will boot right up for ya.
my phone doesnt turn on or shows me any indications of charge…when plugged into mac it disables the usb ports saying that some device is using large power so they are disabled to prevent computer from damaging…pls help me

I had the same issue for quite a time, but seem to have solved it just now.
My phone only charged when the power was off. When the phone was turned on it didnt charge. So what I did was turn off the phone > let it charge for like an hour > than turn on the phone while it's loading.

my phone doesnt show charging indication at all but it seems charging the battery because i have a seperate battery charger where it showed full charge it so weird that battery is charged but phone doesnt turn on

ya....i was having the same problem, but then it progressed to not charging when it's turned off, to finally the battery is just dead and now the phone won't turn on at all. i too feel like i'm in hell.

No buddy i wasnt flashing any custom rom nor custom kernel...my mobile is a comple stockish unrooted galaxy nexus...
so there is no issues of any brick because yesterday to try my luck i plugged my phone to windows pc initially charging indications when the phone is off was displayed but immediately i heared an unplugging sound in my pc and nothing happedned...

if u can get into fastboot mode reflash factory image. otherwise if u can not get into any mode and ur nexus is not turning on, the above link of omap may be useful

finally after 8 months last week igot my gnex back after replacing the entire board which cost me 300$....no more stockish phone just rooted and installed custom kernel....no matter whichever phones come GNEX always rockzzzz...thank u all whoever tried to help me...btw i dont see a thanks button in ur post....thank u

Suddenly other night i left my phone to charge over night. But after wakeup in the morning the phone stayed same battery percent i left.
Throughout the day i tried to charge it but is still not working.
Even i tried by offline charging but nothing.
I m using original charger of samsung of note 2.
Plz someone help as only 7% charge left

Have you tried a different cable? Also see if the usb port on the phone has dirt on it....if you don't use a case, ports use to get full of dirt.

Looks like a damaged USB port.
Take out the battery and put it back in. I hardly think your battery will be the same especially after you use the phone and it's idle for so long.

try a different charger before ordering the battery , switch off phone take out the battery and clean the golden stuff i mean the connector and of the phone using a cotton bud, connect it back and see if it charge well now
Try charging with different cable...I found that the original cable tend to get damage quite easily.

I've bought my phone for 1 year. Today i buy a new battery for t999 on samsung.com
I replace it, then i can't turn on it. I connected it to the charger many times and it just appear the battery icon
Sometime it turn on into the main screen (only charging and press the power button) then turn off in 2s . I can't do anything when the phone not connect to the charger.
What can i do now ???

Yes ! Because the old battery has problem first. I thought the old battery is dead so i bought a new battery. Now, it's the same problem.

Yes, but it also can't turn on more than it turn on by itself. I have to connected many times !
I believe you have a bad power button. This has been happening a lot lately and the fix is to replace the power switch.
