I tried to go back to stock using the Galaxy Note2 ToolKit V4.1.0/Odin. While Odin was flashing the stock image about 15% through it failed. My phone was stuck in download mode, and no matter what I tried I couldnt get out so I had to pull the battery. Now I cant get into recovery (guessing its gone) and when I try to power on or go into recovery my phone says Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recovery mode in kies & try again. Now ToolKit cant do anything, it just gets stuck on waiting for USB debugging to be enabled.
Is there anything I can do or is it toast?
Try flashing the firmware again. It should help.
Hit thanks if I helped!!

I tried several times
Does anyone have a link to the original stock .tar? Im trying to download it from samsung but its extremely slow and won't finish for a couple hours. I think I can put my phone into download mode and flash it straight from Odin.
Then try doing what it says. Go to recovery using kies and flash..

I cant get to kies...my phone has no rom, no recovery...the only thing I can access is download mode,
EDIT: Fixed it. Thanks for the replies.
So basically here's the back story, I downloaded cwm for my friends galaxy grand i9082, and I flashed it in odin, I did everything but for some reason the flash failed at "nand write start" and now all I can do is either go into download mode or, if I just press the power button, it goes into kies emergency firmware recovery mode. I really don't know what to do, is there any way to fix this without connecting to kies?? And if I have to to the emergency firmware recovery will it erase all the data on the phone?? Please help!!

This could have happened because of communication problems or driver problems, usually this happens when your device get disconnected during the process.
Or you try to flash Philz Recovery via Odin..Go tho this link and download the latest http://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition/i9082
If you can successfully install this recovery(any CWM recovery), you can boot back in..
If that fails,
Download the original stock firmware for GT-I9082 and flash it via Odin. (I recommend dont go for the latest build of JB 4.2.2)
Somehow got my phone stuck, it does not boot into recovery mode, it does not show the boot logo, however it boots on download mode and ramdump mode, I have tried to install CWM using heimdall but it fails while attaching the interface, i can't boot into the OS, what can i do?
If you can go into download mode, just flash stockrom using Odim

Is there any science to get odin running? I always get a problem when starting the installer even with the antivirus down.
I downloaded 3.0.9 and 3.0.7 both with matched md5 and both seems broken.
Apart from that, should i need kies to run odin?
Nope, but you need Samsung USB drivers, to get the correct Odin and other files, click the following link: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/7fruf0tmykh0ggd/AABpLEWmrRwUcyH32XEzFd56a

Wired
There is no way I can get odin to detect my phone, I have followed all the instructions but no success
I have tried heimdal and it happens the same,
I have heard that using seotool or something like that and making test points i can repair the phone recovery, is that true? where can i find docs referring to that.
What do you suggest me to do?
While trying to fix signal issues with a Rom I was using, flashing to a restore point, During the wipe apparently my battery was not as filled as it said and just turned off. Now whenever I try to boot my phone I get the following errors and boots into clockworkMod R v6.0.4.3
E:Cant mount /cache/recovery/command
E:cant mount /cache/recovery/log
E:cant open /cache/recovery/log
E:cant mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E:can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
I would provide a pic, but my phone is my camera
I can access bootloader screen, download screen, and recovery. We have tried using two different toolkits, Unified and Wugs, Ive flashed stock recovery, flashed new recovery, nothing. I have used Odin, to flash new stock, as well as a new clockwork recovery, still continues to stop booting into rom with the following error. I have even flashed Phils recovery i think it was with advanced recovery options, still continues. I have used a youtube video on the problem, which is why we tried the flashing a new recovery, still the error persist. Any ideas and help will be great appreciated. Thank you.

Not very sure what u mean.
I have been trying to help though i have little experience with a nexus, but we tried to flash stock factory ROM through Odin and also a CWM recovery .tar via Odin, whatever the issue is is not being resolved by flashing through Odin. After extensive searching I've not found anyone with a nexus having this exact issue. Any help would be appreciated

Fastboot is your way out. Don't use toolkits nor Odin.. First try to flash a new recovery via fastboot. If that doesn't solve it flash the factory image or recovery via fastboot.

We're limited to a windows machine, and I personally have never used fastboot and he's several hundred miles away.. Is there a link you could provide that would give insight as to how to use fastboot? And I know you can do it from a Linux command prompt, is there a way to use it on a windows machine?
I prefer to buy phones that don't have locked bootloaders for this reason... Lol

You can use fastboot on a windows machine.
Follow the guide below obviously download the appropriate files for the device variant.
I know the guide says it's for Verizon but it works with all the different galaxy nexus.

Hey guys I just rooted my s3 using towelroot and then dl twrp app and attempted to install recovery when it was finished I rebooted to twrp recovery and it says there's nothing on my phone no data or anything. Before I rebooted the system to figure out what happened it told me there was no OS on the phone so now I'm stuck in twrp. What do I do? Do I have to have a computer or can I fix it using another phone and moving sd cards?? Please help

I've never used that app, does it auto select the recovery for you, or do you have to choose? If so which one did you try?
Did you wipe anything?
Have you tried to reboot even though it tells you there's no OS?
You may have to Odin the stock firmware. Yes you need a computer to do so.

Towelroot is a new way to root devices. I've only used it with my note 3. It only gives you root. And only downloaded twrp manager in play store and ran the install recovery script from inside the ago. I did all this because I don't have access to a computer right now. I was able to boot back into the phone without anything happening to it. Now I need to know why when I was in twrp recovery that twrp was not able to read or Mount any of my data or partitions...?

You can use Towelroot for the S3 too. I have a thread about it in the General section.
As for the recovery issues, I'm not sure. What model is your device? What firmware is it running and what version of TWRP is installed? (I think the latest is 2.8.0.1. Try both that and 2.6.3.1.) You can get the recovery from my signature.
If those don't work, try philz recovery instead.
