Galaxy Note 2 DN3 rom freezes - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm using DN3 custom rom android 4.3 and I have random freezes while using and sometimes my screen is black and I can't unlock the phone until I reboot. I was coming from 4.1.2 when i did a clean instal to the custom rom. I also flashed mj5 bootloader when I flashed the rom.
Any help?

Do a factory reset. That might solve your problem.

Do this,
1. Download and flash latest philz cwm
2. Flash bootloader mentioned in dn3 rom thread.
3. Wipe data
4. Flash dn3 rom

2.7 is for the new bootloader, are you on the new bootloader?

Again, did you flash the new bootloader using the Odin firmware.tar(stock) prior to flashing TWRP 2.7?
You would need to download and install stock NB4 firmware which includes the new modem and bootloader, THEN odin the TWRP 2.7, then you can flash custom rom from there.

That is the only way that you will get TWRP 2.7 to work.
First Odin to Stock NB4 (Kitkat) software, this installs the modem and the bootloader, then odin the TWRP 2.7 recovery.
Good luck! Should go pretty smoothly, took me about an hour or so to do it all(including flashing CM11 and re-setting everything back up)

[Q] n7100 wont start after any restart

ok guys please i need a help.
I have a note n7100 i rooted since i purchased and i used to flash it with omega ROM always since 4.1.2 to 4.3.
one day i decided to try another rom so i pick up the hurricane 4.3. i flashed the ROM and it worked fine till i just rebooted the device.
once i rebooted it wont start again and stuck on the N-7100 logo. i wipe the cache and do factory rest but it wont start.
all data are gone. i had to flash again using the side-load option. to make it short since i flashed the hurricane 4.3 ROM over the Omega ROM 4.3
i have this problem i tried many time to flash it again and it will always work fine till i reboot then it wont work again. i tried to flash it with Omega 4.1.2 ROM and it worked fine even i reboot my device. but if i upgrade to 4.3 with any ROM it wont restart after rebooting. do i have a rooting problem, why its like this? i need to know a solution. its very strange that all 4.3 ROMs will work fine but once i reboot the device it wont restart and all data will be gone.
please HELP, i did not ask for your help guys till i have tried all ways.
once again ( i used to have 4.3 ROM on my n7100 and it was working fine till i decided to use the Hurricane ROM)
What is your current bootloader version? If you are using old bootloader (4.1) it will cause problem on new firmware (4.3). In this case you need to update your bootloader (mj5 is the best).

[Q] Boot loop.

Hi guys, i have a very strange problem with my Note 2 when trying to upgrade from Hurricane 4.3 to Phantom 4.4.2. or Dr Ketan Custom ROMV8 4.4.2.
No matter if i use TWRP latest or Phils latest recovery it just stop at Samsung logo.
I have tried with both Mj5 and Nd3 bootloader, both compatible with 4.4.2 and i do all the wiping needed before i flash.
Md5 is checked on all files.
I have tried this atleast 10 times but always ending up with nandroid back to Hurricane.

In that case flash 4.4.2 stock rom , root it and then flash custom rom.

Just to be precise: Flash stock rom 4.4.2 as suggested and afterwards a custom recovery, both using Odin, no need to root. Then you can flash any rom you like :good:

Yes you can.Only the modem version might be different so you might have to change that if you you experience slow data speeds and weak signal. But France has ND3 modem which i am using in India and no issues with network or data speeds so you should be okay too.

What, exactly, did you flash via Odin? What is the model number for your phone (as can be found on a sticker under the battery).
Odin is extremely powerful and unforgiving.
4.3 MK7 firmware for T889 ....that's my model. That's what I'd been using since until I used Dn4 and now I can't go back.

BootLoop after downgrade

My M919 has MM on it. I want to unlock it. I downgrade the modem to MDL first.
It still working when MM using MDL modem.
Then I flash TMB-M919UVUFNB4-20140314115123 on it.
Now it's bootloop on the T-mobile screen.
My bootloader is FOK3 before I flash TMB-M919UVUFNB4-20140314115123.
Basically, I need it unlock and get my phone work.
please help.
Thank you.
EDIT, now I flash the M919UVUFOK3 and still bootloop.
I believe the phone must be running a stock rom before downgrading the modem.

when i flash the M919UVUFNB4 and M919UVUFOK3, i think it would downgrade my modem to FNB4 and FOK3 respectively.
Are you going to unlock via code or regionlockaway? Unlock code requires a stock Samsung dialler. Regionlockaway requires a stock Samsung rom running the old modem and root.
If it's bootlooping, perform a factory wipe using stock recovery before booting the stock rom for the first time.

unlock code need samsung dialer mean stock samsung rom, right?
anyway, when i tried to flash stock rom, it bootloop, I tried factory reset in Twrp. but it's not helping.
Wipe needs to be done with stock recovery.

could you tell me how?
so i flash the stock rom, then where do i look for stock recovery?
Flash stock rom then use the volume up and power to boot into recovery. Use the same method that is used to boot into twrp.
