Doesn't Metro PCS use the same LTE bands that the Verizon HTC One supports? I'd like to use the One with Metro PCS but I'd like to make sure that it would work properly - especially a good data connection and from my research the Sprint HTC One wouldn't have 4G on Metro. Also I know Metro PCS will flash the phone for me to use on their network but do they gimp the web use on it so that the data usage is a bit limited? Am I wrong or should I go ahead and buy the phone outright and have it flashed over?
Nope, not possible. Verizon mainly uses 700 MHz (band 13) for LTE while MetroPCS uses AWS (band 4). Even though Verizon is testing AWS LTE in a few markets, I'm not sure if the Verizon One even supports that band.
If you want a One, why not get the T-Mobile version instead? They acquired Metro a few months back and are going to merge the two LTE networks while shutting down CDMA. Look at their coverage map now and you'll see it's an exact duplicate of T-Mobile's.
Hello, I have a Verizon phone, which I unlocked and I am using with MetroPCS sim card. Everything works except I don't have 4G. I have internet but not 4G. Some ideas how I can fix that and actually use the 4G? Thanks!

Read the post above yours. It has the answer. You cannot enable a band that the phone doesn't have in it's radio. Verizon band 13 is different than band 4.

the only success ive had with flashing a Verizon phone to metro was 3g data only. i was never able to get LTE to connect and i tried everything i could think of.
The CDMA editor only let me go so far but i know you can get 3g and evdo to work on their network with some elbow grease and free time.

3G is better then E right? What is this CDMA editor that you're talking about and how does it work? What needs to be done?
Thanks in advance!
Thinking of buying a tmobile m8 to use on metro pcs
Can anyone else with this setup confirm that the phone does work with metro include lte and everything? Thanks for any responses.
Also if you're someone who had their m8 on tmobile or even att and switched to metro, hows the network speeds compare?
I'm on neither T-Mob nor MetroPCS. But just wanted to pass along what I've read here. My understanding, MetroPCS uses T-Mob's network, so a T-Mob version should support MetroPCS bands out of the box.
Not sure if you need to unlock the SIM, and you may (probably) also need to manually enter the MetroPCS APN settings to get data and MMS to work.
Dear Members,
I have a issues with my unlocked LG G3 D855, i got it from a carrier called Orange, and i´m using it in another carrier called Claro, my problem came when i sent it to fix some problem to the original carrier, they made a software upgrade and now my phone doesn't get LTE signal anymore (Just get 4G) and in the stock browser my homepage and SIM Tool Kit belong to the original carrier, even when i made a full restart and re installed a new rom.
Both companies have same phone model and use same band to get LTE in the LG G3.
Thanks
LTE and 4G are the same thing. I have never had "LTE" icon, just "4G", but I have gotten speeds up to 148Mbs through it.
I don't see the problem.
Look in settings, about phone, network, and look at mobile network type to see if you are running LTE or 4g(I think it hdsp+)

My network type is HSPAP, I flashed another stock rom but I I just get H signal, I think my problem is about the rom modification the carrier made to the phone.
Hey Guys, I have a concern with my recently purchased LG G4 model H812. It's originally from Rogers and I got it unlocked and have my Virgin Mobile service working on it. I have put in the right APN Settings according to the specified network and LTE hasn't even shown up at all since I've purchased the phone. Under network mode, I have chosen "GSM/HSPA/LTE" but all i see thats working constantly is 4G. I also did a manual search under 'Network operators" and chose Bell LTE instead of Bell WCDMA. Any ideas of what can be done?
Thanks

You may want to check out this link (https://lg-firmwares.com/lg-h812-firmwares/) for an H81220X Bell/Virgin kdz (H81220x_00_1122.kdz) and use LGUP-NEW to install it.
From everything I read, it seems this phone should work. Used it on Straight talk( with tmobile towers), currently on Cricket with no issues. Tried to switch to metro pcs before, the man at the store put in a metro sim to "test" first, and it recognized the network, but didnt get mobile data he said. Then he told us we just need to buy a metro branded phone. I have tried calling them for help, but all you get is people who basically read from a script. So, will this phone work on Metro PCs or not? It's a factory unlocked H815. Thanks kids!

If it's unlockked, no reason not to work on MetroPCs. I've bought unlocked G5 few months ago, and it works on MetroPCs, as well as European Galaxy A3, also network unlocked.
