You might give the N7105 or the AT&T forums a try.

Thanks for the help, I'll give that a shot. Am I able to flash any kernal that's for the note ii if its on a different carrier and running the correct android version as me? Or is there anything I need to do to make it compatible?

Stay away from N7100 kernels. The N7100 is a non LTE device and the hardware is a bit different. The kernels for N7105 or variants thereof *should* be Ok, AT&T note 2 is closest to ours. Don't use a different devices modem/baseband/radio (there be dragons).

I flashed an AT&T kernal last night with success, haven't had any problems thus far. I appreciate the help.

YES, the only slight difference is the T-MO (T889) has an 1700 T-MO Band within the modem.
YES They (N7105[tolte]), (T889[toltetmo]), (I317[tolteatt]) are "practically" the same, and any rom for one can work for any other of the tolte variants.
Make certain you ONLY flash the modem specific to your device. Doing otherwise is fraught with peril.

thank you both very much app. friends

Can T889 without LTE install any N7100 Roms

Just like the title, is it safe to install any N7100 roms to T889 without LTE?
Thanks

It probably will be OK but you wouldn't catch me doing it. Different phones when you get to the radio hardware. Some guys report success. YMMV

You could face a lot of issues no network, wifi or baseband at all. Kernel needs to be changed as well as modem, bin files, etc files and lib files to get the rom to work right.

I was helping somebody else, and he said his phone doesn't have LTE. I don't have T889 personally. So I was confused whether it has LTE or not. I also live in country that only has N7100 for sell.

[Q] which Roms should I be using? rogers note 2

Which roms should I be using as it appears there is no rogers specific t0lte Roms. There is an att and a T-Mobile one (as well as a generic t0lte) I don't want to screw something up and I've found various answers on google(saying different things) and I trust the people on here so I figured I'd just ask here. (Sorry if this had been asked before search wasn't working)

most of the time the ATT version (i317) should work, but if you just want to be absolutely safe check whether it supports Rogers (i317M).

Thank you very much.
Easy: all t0lte GSM/WCDMA/LTE ROMs are interchangeable. Modems and bootloaders are not.
I don't think CDMA (e.g. Verizon and Sprint) ROMs work out of the box but I haven't bothered checking.

Are modems not included in roms? And I didn't know bootloaders were changeable? (I may misunderstand what a bootloader is so feel free to explain)

Maybe: When in doubt, check the ROM recovery zip installer or Odin tar archive.

They're upgradeable, but that's not something you would be playing with most of the time, if ever. You wouldn't normally encounter this on recovery flashable ROMs, maybe on Odin packages. Look up aboot, tz, param.img and SBL for more details.

Paranoid Android (N7100) to LTE (T-Mobile, ATT Variants)

So, I hear that you can flash a N7100 rom to our Notes just by flashing the modem? If that's true, where are the modems so I can flash them after I install it or edit the package or something.

Where did you hear that? I am pretty sure the 7100 has different hardware and the roms are incompatible. You can port roms to our versions but as far as I know only 7105, T-Mobile, and att roms will work

N7105 ROMs are OK. No need to flash modern unless the ROM you flash has the modem included (very few do). I wouldn't run N7100 ROMs as there is enough of a hardware difference to potentially cause problems.
Damn, why dont they make ports for our phones? I like PA and Its only for the N7100 =/ Nobody updated the ports in the forum in months.

Roms

How difficult would it be to port a rom over from the other carriers for the developer edition? I understand there are build and kernel issues. I would be happy to experiment, but I have little knowledge in this area. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I've gotten a couple T-Mobile ROMs to install but when I change the APN settings for VZW they will not save.

AOSP will not install, it throws an error everytime. I have tried several times but I can't get the APN settings to stick to enable LTE.
Someone will figure it out eventually. I remember my galaxy s4 was in the same boat on GPE ROM for a while
So, basically I could flash something like dynamic kat and ktoonz or faux for tmobile, get it booted up, change the APN and if it sticks, I'm good to go?

correct. firekat for tmo has a verizon version in one of his first 5 posts you can download and try. i know a guy running it with nadia kernel with great results. Not sure if on a tw rom you even need to change the APN settings

You can either wait for root on the retail edition or purchase a developer edition when they are back in stock. Those of us who are flashing ROMs have purchased a developer edition that can be rooted unlike the retail edition that most have purchased that can not be rooted yet. The link I posted for a developer edition is the onlly way you can get one besides buying a used one. Verizon dose not supply these.
Is root getting close?

It's hard to say but your best bet is to follow this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/not...s-only/rd-rooting-n910a-n910v-models-t3042045
