I can't seem to find any roms for the HDX, only for the HD.
I also tried using CM Installer (CM 11) but I get stuck on this screen.

What are the best roms for the Fire HDX?
Sent from my Kindle Fire HDX using Tapatalk
This forum is for the original Kindle Fire, code named otter. There is a orum for the latest fire, but at a glance it looks like they are still working on rooting and boot loaders. No doubt, Amazon is trying to lock the device down. I saw no ROM development.

Hey,
So you may wanna check out this case for your tablet(s)
they say it'll fit almost any tablet, but i do not think it'll work for the 8.9

Should work for the 7" HDX but its to small for the 8.9" tho. That is according to this "Designed to fit most small-form tablets up to 7.9 inches (200.66mm) by 4.3-4.9 inches (109.22-124.46mm)."
There's an 8" and a 10" as well
Sent from my Nexus 4 using XDA Free mobile app
In that case one of the larger ones should work perfectly fine with the 8.9" HDX then
These look nice i'll check it out.
tonight I am attempting to rom my kindle fire 2nd gen 10.5

Did you get past this? I've got adb set up and have tried a few test commands which work. At the point of running the bin4ry script, but am a bit nervous about bricking my son's kindle
Dude send me a link to the drivers if you can. I can't find a good copy ANYWHERE.
Hello, on my Fire TV Stick 4K (mantis), I have rooted and debloated it using the following 2 links:
- https://forum.xda-developers.com/fire-tv/orig-development/unlock-fire-tv-stick-4k-mantis-t3978459 (root)
- https://forum.xda-developers.com/fire-tv/general/customizing-fire-tv-stick-4k-mantis-t4025723 (debloat)
So far so good, however, I am having a problem scrolling down in an app. To explain, if you look at the attached picture, I am unable to scroll down using either the Amazon remote, or a bluetooth keyboard / mouse combo. There are a number of options in the program windows that I need to scroll to (I know this because on my phone I can see all of the options), but can't figure out how to do this.
Any help is appreciated!

Hello guys,
I think many of you know these advanced options of the fire tv stick.
For my current project I need to be able to query the displayed video information (especially the color standard) via commandline or some libary. I have almost no experience with android development, but if someone has a solution I should be able to figure the rest out myself.
I suppose I would have to root the fire tv stick. After that I have no idea what to do. Since the information can be displayed via the advanced options, I assume that there must be a way to query them via command line or a libary.
Maybe someone with more experience in this field has an idea

Hello I decided to take a shot at making a Custom Boot Animation for the Fire Stick 4K, surprisingly no one has really made any custom boot animations for the 4K so I decided to quickly Put this one together.

To install this boot Animation see this post for instructions on how to do it.
Note: Root is Required to install this Boot Animation.
This is Just a Modified Stock AFTV 4K Logo with a Powered by Android badge at the bottom but I still think it turned out cool.
Download link for the BootAnimation.zip is below
