lost+found file struggle - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

Hey, guys. I posted here a while back that I've been having some major problems with my phone. It randomly reboots, does not properly wipe in recovery, will not properly install ROM's or recovery updates.
I think it all stems from me seeming to remember deleting a lost+found file that I thought was a dupe. Anyway, I assume that restoring the phone to factory is the only way to fix it, but I'm hoping somebody has another idea because I use a mac and Idk how to root it again if I have to do that.
Thank you for any help or suggestions.

I had the same issue until I formatted my internal storage. Make sure you back up everything from your internal storage first.

So all I need to do is a wipe? I won't actually have to lose root?

Not wipe. Format internal SD card. I think its from the advanced wipe settings. You will have to type the word "yes" to confirm

Seems you experience an awful lot today. But it happens to everyone's first time.
Go to recovery mode, reflash CM9RC2 and Gapps. Then factory reset - Clear cache - Wipe Dalvik Cache - Fix permission. These are important steps. If you miss either one it might cause problems.
Try going pristine and btw I'd you post a brick problem you need to say if you can access download/recovery mode.
Go to the general section to know what, why and how to do a pristine flashing, it will end your problems.
Just to make sure, did you follow Arco's instructions carefully? Pristine is always better but those instructions some times work great.

[Q] Wifi and batery charge problems

If I flash any ICS rom, when i turned off the wifi cant go on again its need to restart it for turn on agan....if i flash any JB dont have that problem but when i plug it to charge the batery icon stay freeze and when unplug it the red light still on the phone...need to restart it to turn lights off....

What recovery are you using? Are you correctly wiping before flashing? Correctly partitioning your SD card? These things can make a world of difference when flashing JB roms on the EVO. Doing these things and then reflashing your rom could smooth these bugs out.

Yeah, give it a try this time around. JB roms are reeeal touchy about partitioning and wiping. Personally, I don't enjoy using them, I don't see a ton of features really worth having in them. They just look better than ICS, with UI improvements. But hey, that's just my opinion.

Oh and I would advise switching your recovery over to Smelkus 4.3, everyone uses that these days. Much more consistent and reliable recovery.

[Q] Imperium Initiative v1.0.0 Installation

I'm trying to install Imperium Initiative V1.0.0. I wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, factory reset, and reboot. How long should the phone take to reboot after following this process? I've waited 10 to 15 minutes and the phone doesn't boot.

No, I'm not bricked. I can still boot into recovery (CWM) and reinstall my old rom. I'm just finding out should it take this long to install or am I just being impatient.
Well from reading the steps that you took not once did you mention you actually flash the ROM
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda premium
In recovery:
Factory reset
Wipe System
Install
Reboot
Wipe/format system is not the same as a factory reset.
Everyone keeps wiping everything except for the most important one. SYSTEM. make sure you wipe system BEFORE you flash and then you wipe the cache after you flash.

What I did, was restored version before this release, dirty flashed the new, and bam, it all started working, btw this problem is happening randomly on all of the multi-carrier roms for some reason. Can anyone en-light us on this issue?
Im not using this rom anymore but had it a few days ago. What I did to get it working was simply flash the fix then let sit for like 3-4 minutes after firat boot before it starts working. If it still doesnt work then do reboot (not quick restart) and that should get it working fine.

how do i delete? sdcard0 and use sdcard as default? or at least just keep one of the 2?
why did this happen? can someone help me please?

will i also loose the custom recovery? (twrp in my case)
i made a complete wipe (except system) from twrp menu and everything went fine!!! even root is there!
thank you!
Lol,you should've set the paths in twrp settings. No need for wiping). I had the same issue. I thought it was a bug in twrp.but the bug was in my head .
