Here are a few things that could be useful in theory for the forums as an update.
I will link to the description of each mod/add on as they describe them best.
Also any thoughts from other members are completely welcome.
Also to note, vBulletin is now at version 3.8.x vs XDA at 3.7.4
Note that these require a licensed vBulletin to download and use.
If XDA ever had to be "rebuilt" I would recommend something more open like phpBB or such.

As I said, about feedback and comments I would be very happy.
I'm looking for someone to collaborate with me on a nice Google Tasks app. Yes, there are some apps in the marketplace already, but none that I consider beautiful enough for the Windows Phone platform.
I'm a designer, so I'm looking for someone to actually write the code to make it work. This isn't exactly a for-pay job, more of a community service project. I could probably manage a small fee (less than $30), or the developer could submit it to the marketplace as a paid app and take in all proceeds.
I'm still in the planning stages, but I'll post some designs as soon as I can (probably tonight). It's going to be an ad-free app, with a nice, simple name (something like "Tasks" or "Google Tasks") nothing like "SuperDooper Tasks Pro, Now With More Dooper."
If you're interested, let me know by posting below.

This is a development section. I suggest posting in the WP7 software development section!
Adding link here, as its been in the tech press today, and contains useful info on Store apps configuration etc
* Link Deleted *
Promoting warez or helping people get cracked apps is forbidden on XDA-Devs. Many of us are "legit" (store) developers as well as hackers. Nobody here *should* be helping people bypass trial restrictions or similar.
If you want to extract the non-piracy portions of the post, or better yet do some research of your own, and then write your own blog of forum post about them, go ahead and put that on XDA. There will always be people cracking paid apps, but they are not welcome here.
I agree with you
I only posted the link because the discussion had lots of info about how app configuration and xml files and tokens etc work
which is stuff we do need to know about in a Development and Hacking* forum
[ * Hacking in the original sense of the word ie investigating/understanding/modifying]
Update - I've removed the link in the above post
Anyone interested will just have to web search for the relevant My Digital Life Forum entry
