Hello there- I was hoping someone with a Galaxy Tab 3 wouldn't mind sharing an .apk of the U-Verse for tablets app (free app) located here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.att.labs.uversetv.android.tablet
For whatever reason, even newer devices such as Nexus 7 2013 and others (like my galaxy note 8) are apparently "incompatible".
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
I don't see anything specifically for tablets. I found an "AT&T U-verse" app and am downloading and installing. Will post it shortly. Hope that's what you want!
Anything that shows as not compatible, you can probably find here.
This is a completely reputable site and is not a pirate site. It offers only free apps.

I really appreciate the response & the links but unfortunately they don't appear to be the app I linked. I have the standard uverse one, but apparently there exists also one only for "tablets" (except galaxy tab 3 is the only one compatible)
Again thanks for the responses

This is a link to a youtube video (my first) I just posted. I think it's a pretty cool feature of my S3. A member of AVS Forums shared an app with me called Samsung Smart View, it wasn't available in the Play Store at the time and I still don't think it is. In July I purchased a Samsung PN60E7000 and got the S3 on launch day. I was looking for an app that would mirror the phone on the TV screen like the Allshare Cast Dongle but it wasn't available at the time. This does the mirroring in reverse, shows TV content on the phone instead and allows the phone to be used as a remote for the tv.
Anyway, thought I would share. If this is old news, sorry.

:good: nice. Where did the guy on AVS pick the app up from?

He shared it with me via Google Drive, I still have the email and the link he sent me.
It's also in the Play Store

Edit - Hm it shows as L710 not being compatible, wonder if this is intended for Int'l version :/

So I was trying to create a list of random stuff online with S Note, and I noticed I couldn't create a hyperlink with S Note. Is there a way to? And if not, can anyone suggest a good note app that can? I LOVE S Note though. Really hope anyone can help. Thanks!
Note Everything. It also gives you the option to draw notes in case that's what you like from S Note.

Ugh the drawing on the app wasn't as good as S Note. Why can't I just create a hyperlink in S Note? T_T
Thanks for the suggestion though!
3rd party apps are not gonna be as intuitive as the S Pen apps... unfortunately </3

I've got a question for the GN2 users on Bell, running stock.
For those who do or can use the Mobile TV app, are you guys getting the channels in HD as well? I saw an article way back several months reporting the app going up to 4.3.7 for select devices that included the HD channels, which I'm unfortunately not getting running SauROM.
If anybody could share their reports, version of mobileTV and ROM they're running if not stock, it would be greatly appreciated.
I remember reading that the Olympics would be streamed in HD for MobileTV.
"As of July 27, clients can experience the London 2012 Games action live and in HD." There were 15 channels listed for Olympics, 7 of which were in HD (CTV, TSN, RDS, Sportsnet, V, Omni 1 /2).
No where is HD advertised though....

Yup, that was the article I was looking at. No mention of including the Note 2 or whether that has been the case. A stock S3 user I've talked to has reported having the same version of MobileTV so I wonder if they haven't done anything for the Note 2 yet....

As part of the perks for buying the Note, Samsung also give me "12 months of Boingo wireless hotspot".
I did not register but went to Boingo website. I noticed that most of the "trusted" and "certified" hotspot are typical Starbucks, McDonald's, etc. hotspot. Other than airports' hotspot (which I don't use much), what are the benefit for using Boingo?
I have no idea. I actually uninstalled it becauseof the pop up notifications every time I logged into my home Internet.

You can disable the pop-up in the app. I haven't had a chance to try it at an airport yet to see if it gives me free access.

I bought my Note 8 too early since this was not included at the time. Does anybody know how early buyers can get this perk too?

does anyone know if we can use this on other devices, or just our galaxy note 8?

Try to register at Samsung Perks website. Can't remember the site name, but just Google it.

I think it's tied to your account instead of device specific, similar to Dropbox 50gb promo.
I bought some ebooks with the Samsung credit we got with this device. But I really don't want to read on such a large tablet. Can I access these books on another device? I would rather read on my Nexus 7, but I can't figure out a way to get my books there. I couldn't even find a way to access the on Samsung Note 8 tablet. It doesn't seem reasonable to sell books that can only be read on a single device, so I'm hoping someone here can help me figure out how to access content I purchased on another tablet.
Thanks

There are applications that provide this option, though your device must be rooted.

Can you share more info? Point me to the apps? My Nexus 7 and my Note 8 are both rooted. My Note 10 isn't, but I willing to root it if it helps.
Thanks

Facebook? That's the only reference I can find to "fBook".
Btw, I tried installing Samsung Hub on my less than one year old (rooted) Samsung Note 8 and it installs but crashes on opening. Same result as on my Nexus 7 with build.prop edited to look like it's a Galaxy S4.
It is just insane that Samsung sells ebooks that aren't compatible with their own tablets.
How can I ever trust Samsung enough to purchase anything from them if what they sell isn't even compatible between the same family of devices of the current generation?!?

FBook is an ebook application.

"Rooted" being key here. They expect it to tun on the stock system. They cannot allow for hundreds of rooted options.

Right on the rooting, nothing special. FBook is the reader I used, it is no longer available. There are others that provide that option though.

Are you saying the reason the Samsung hub app crashes on my Note 8 and Nexus 7 is because they are rooted?
I still have made no progress accessing my ebooks I purchased on my Note 10.1 (2014) on any other device,
Any help is appreciated.

It's probably framework dependant just like a lot of the TouchWiz apps. The note 8.0 should have Samsung hub by default though, assuming you haven't debloated it.

I agree the Note 8 *should* have Samsung Hub, since it is a current generation Samsung device in the same family of tablets, but it doesn't. And it is not even listed as compatible on Samsung page:
http://www.samsung.com/us/samsunghub/
Which is why I'm at a loss why anyone would trust Samsung to buy anything from them if their own tablets aren't even compatible?

Are the books as single files? As in can ou browse for them on your device?
Or is it purchased through an application?
I use a combination of google drive + Moon Reader to achieve some thing similar.
All my books are on the google drive and moon reader + syncs my reading position so I can read on
Various devices
