Can you disassemble the phone? If yes disassemble the phone and remove battery connector and connect it again. As soon as you connect it, enter flash mode and flash stock ftf using flashtool.

yah I did ..But instead of goin flash mode the cell phone start bootlooping again..The strange thing is ..the soft reset doesnot remove the bootloop but the hard reset removes and while plugging on charger for some hour red led appear and again the bootloop starts aafter some hours..:crying:
@pharix bro..today I disassemble my cell and remove the power chip and reconnect again..I put in wall charger...;again the same thing boot loop starts when cell is charge for some hours and when battery is drained mobile get off and show red led when connected in charger..and During bootloop I accidentally entered fast boot mode but it doesnot make sense as I have relocked my bootloader..After that I am stuck in this blue led..Whall shll I do??? Is my mobile tolally damaged?? And during disassembling..I damaged my case..:crying::crying::crying:
Editnce I entered the flash mode via rubber band trick..but flashing files was initiated but ..there was error ..saying mobile doesnot follow the command or something like that..Wondrin yy my battery doesnot get charged..Is it normal that I am getting bootloop stil after removing the powerchip?? Now I am loosing hope.. @Zorbeyd bro..what do you say regarding this?? hepl please..

Try this. Remove battery connector while your ready to enter flash mode. Again reconnect battery connector and soon enter flash mode and flash stock ftf.
Or once you are in fastboot mode, flash stock kernel and system separately.
Dont lost you hope,
Try with another usb port with another usb cable.

Flashing a kernel with bootloader locked was a silly thing to do. From what I can see, you are using another devices kernel, or the kernel itself is corrupt. Flashtool couldn't flash the ftf because you were in fastboot, not flashmode (volume button down I think. Flash mode has green led) What I can recommend is that if you're able to enter fastboot mode again, get the stock kernel and flash it. If you can enter flashmode, just flash the whole ftf.

The stock kernel or a derivative of it should be available in the development section. Or try to extract the kernel.elf from the ftf. A tutorial for flashing a kernel is available in the general section I presume.

Hey buddies,
I have a big issue:
My Xperia S is rooted, I did the bootloader unlock with sucess, and, when I flashed the boot.img inside the FXP149 tapioca (I had sucess by ADB), after ask to "fastboot reboot' my device died :/
It can't be recognized anywhere (USB-PC, wall charger, vol up + usb but it doesn't enter in fastboot mode), it doesn't turn on anymore.. When I hold "power button + vol up + vol down + camera button it's vibrate, but nothing happened in display. I had just this feedback.
Any ideas?
Thank you!
Your phone is not dead bubby you can relax, you have to hard reset your phone by hold down button [ power + vol up ] long enough till the phone vibrant 3 times, after that release buttons and press and hold power button for phone to switch on.

AGAIN and no matter what the urgency, trust me I wish to help people but when people do it by breaking and paying no heed to the rules, it is simply irksome. Thread reported and to the OP, your questions in the Q&A section, not the dev thread.

Try this, as described above connect the phone in flashmode, [ vol down while connecting to PC via USB cable ] LED will turn green, open your flashtool then flash a new software firmware in ftf" format,
Sent from my Xperia S using xda premium
If you downloaded and flashed the boot.img above using fastboot (that's what I presume), a process which shows a Blue LED, then just download any kernel from here (there's lots of them marked kernel so take your pick) and flash it in the same way using the fastboot flash boot xxxx.img command from your fastboot folder. If not, please explain the step-by-step process and the name all the tools you used so we could guide you to fixing your phone.

I did exactly what you said! I flashed a boot.img from wrong version (CM10 Tapioca instead of Nozomi), so, I guess that this is the mistake to this issue that I having now.
I just don't know the right kernel that I need to flash now to fix this.
Just download stock ics rom and flash it with flashtool after resetting (power+vol up until vibrate 3 times) the phone.
Hey buddies,
I flashed a stock kernel and it´s alive again!
Thank you for support me!!!

Your phone is not dead bubby you can relax, you have to hard reset your phone by hold down button [ power + vol up ] long enough till the phone vibrant 3 times, after that release buttons and press and hold power button for phone to switch on.

hi,
hard reset done three vibrates came but after that when i am connecting its to flash tool that green led(flash) not working for me but blue (fast boot) is working fine what to do .
I flashed a new ROM (Nova unofficial CM10) and let the battery drain till it went off, normally it starts charging again when I plug it in the wall charger, but this time nothing it seems :crying: the red led is on, but the battery doesn't get warm and it doesn't turn on normally. Sometimes it randomly boots till the unlock screen shows up from the ROM, but the screen isn't responding and then it turns of again. I tried to do something in the recovery, but since there are no other ROM files on the Phone I can't try any other kernel or ROM. USB storage doesn't seem to be working in this recovery... or it might be my windows 8.
Should I wait a few "hours"?? The red led is still on... so it's doing something right?
/help

Ok here is the solution It happend to me also ok dont worry just update ur phone using Sony official ics update called SUS and dont worry about that ur devise is not charging and neither connecting to pc just connet via USB follow the instruction from SUS. Its not the matter that ur USB is not working and it shows sometime connection and dis connecton and if even now it show nothing just remove ur battery for five min if ur phone has removable battery system

the bootloader is unlocked... pretty sure SUS won't be working, but I will try. And I don't have a removable battery system but I can forcefully shut it down.
edit:
it keeps showing up the red led, flashmode and fastboot don't work.
Ok then u have the only way just connect it via USB and update SUS its the only way for u. It wil download 40mb then install the soft it says to connect ur divise and it wil donload 225mb firmware tft after that it wil update ur devise

it will not connect to USB, it's too empty for that... it's either recovery or nothing at all. But USB storage isn't working.

I let the phone run out of battery, and after that the phone only charges for a few minutes with red LED on. Then it boots, says that battery at 0% and then turn off
I have NOVA rom.
Any help?

it seems I fixed it! it took me a damn while, but it seems to be charging now.
what I did:
1: Download Advanced Stock Kernel 17 (fastboot version)
2: wait for it to turn off
3: charge Phone till it boots again
4: hold power + vol up till it vibrates 3 times
5: get the Phone in fastboot mode (plug-in the Phone and hold vol up)
6: fastboot the kernel
7: reboot and hook-up the charger and it should charge again :victory: (without booting)
my battery indicator is now yellow!! and the on-screen battery shows yellow as well.
ps: try using a normal charger and not the sony wall charger... it seems to be working better when the OS is not booted.

Okay I got it solved too!
Mine is as follow:
- Let it charge till the screen boots up.
- Power + volume up for 1 vibration, and then hold volume up for fastboot mode.
- Flash adv kernel 17 and then connect to charger. Let it charge for 30 mins.
- Reflash Nova kernel
Everything works perfectly after that
I think Nova kernel does not support offline charging @[email protected]

Would you mind reporting your steps and kernel problems in the recovery thread in my signature. You could help others who get similar issues.

Even I have the same problem,so you guys just flashed the Advanced kernel without touching the ROM right ??
Because its a ICS kernel and i'm running PA 2.57 which is based on CM10,I'm gonna try this out
EDIT :
This is what i did,my phone wouldn't reset(Soft or Hard reset) but i was able to get into recovery and would get around a minute when the phone powered on showing "Charging 0%"
1. Copied the CWM version of Advanced Kernel 17
2. Booted the phone in TWRP(Nova Kernel has TWRP instead of CWM)
3. Flashed the Advanced Kernel,Rebooted
4. I was now able to charge offline as well as the phone would reset(Hard and Soft both)
5. After 15mins booted in recovery and flashed Nova Kernel back
6. Rebooted into ROM and voila showed 40% charge

You can always flash a kernel, but it will probably reboot right away. TWRP didn't seem to work with windows 8... CWM does work fine, but then again I had TWRP so I wasn't able to copy the file to the Phone and flash it using the recovery. Recovery did work though but it didn't have enough juice to perform a sideload, so fastboot was the only option for me.
But it seems you figured everything out already :good:

Why go all the way round and get back to stock when flashing a different kernel does the trick for you
Tbh,flashing takes lots of time especially when you are hoping around different ROM's i didn't have that kinda patience so went with the shorter way to getting the phone up and running

I had the exact same issue with Nova Kernal.
As I was usng PAC ROM I flashed the FXP kernal that came with PAC ROM and it started charging again.
So I Think the issue is with Nova Kernal..
So basically I have the same issue. The battery of the phone was nearly empty and I decided to recharge it. Unfortunately it didn't charge.
What was the cause: I upgraded to 6.1.a.2.55 stock rom and I wanted to root it. It worked well and I could reinstall all the apps.
The current situation is: The battery is empty now but when I connect it to my computer's USB port it comes up every now and then I can get into the phone, I can access flashboot and also I'm able to get into fastboot. So I tried it with the solution given above but it is not working. I tried to flash the old 6.1.a.2.50 but the flashtool will not install it. Here is the log file:

can u press power+vol up and hold both of em till the phone vibrates three times? if yes.. open flashtool. select flashmode, pick your ftf, and when the flashtool told you to plug the device, plug it while holding volume down.. if it's recognized by the pc, it will show green led, and it will stay green after the flashtool finished flashing. if it's only show green then back to red, u need to install flashmode driver first.
if the phone cant vibrate three times, u need to charging your device first. some say in just couple minutes, some even says a whole day.
hope it'll help.
try to flash the advanced stock kernel (v17) using fastboot. No matter the software on the phone, it should go straight to offline charging.

Hmm, did you properly put your phone into flash mode? Also be careful in choosing the FTF file pick the right one for your region, then plug in your phone, after pick the firmware that is an actual ROM so it'll be over 700mb cause it includes everything. Unplug your phone once the firmware is prepared and press the OFF button in the back where the sim card and sdcard go in, wait till it vibrates 3 times and hold volume down, bam your phone should be in flash mode. Now begin the flashing process and do not touch your phone or unplug while flashing. Trust me, I was in your place not too long ago when I first got my Xperia keep trying and learning from the forums. Make sure you note any mistakes.
As well be sure you have the latest flash tools located here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2335555

Make sure your flashing properly send us your log when you try again, the off button on the back must be pushed in with a tiny object it should vibrate once after 3 seconds and 3 times after 5 seconds. As well if your phone sits dead after pushing that button then there's hardware damage, unless flash tools recognizes it also make sure you have all the drivers for your ZL in all modes. Drivers are located in C:/flashtools/drivers install SOE-blahblah, adb, and fastboot(these are mainly at the bottom of the list)

Now that those 3 drivers are all installed flashtools should recognize your Xperia in flash mode, try using the OFF button for 5 seconds and then hold volume down with the USB cable plugged in the phone and computer. Continue with normal flashing, choose the generic firmware that shows system, kernel, etc in the FTF you should see a ton of .sin packages which is your phones firmware. Flash your phone and just be patient, once done Flashtools will say "flash completed please disconnect your phone" once you do that your phone should boot.
Just an observation or a tip.....open on back the sim/sd tray and should be a "off" button there....click on it and try again put him in flash mode, try this a few times until pc recognizes.
So, i already flash the ROM for about 12 times... And repair and update via SUS and PC Companion for about 7 times... Still no sign of life... But my xperia now only show red LED blinking 3 times... If i charge it, it's stuck on bootstall...

So, is hardware damage is related to "can't turn on the device and only shows blinking red LED, also if i charge it, it stuck on bootstall?"
If yes, can i return it ? Even if i already unlock and relock the bootloader?
As previous mention phone (sony) covered for a year, so you can send in to get a new one (refurbished most case).
I recently pickup a new way to flash phone back to stock, so if you want give it a last shot:
1. Phone Off (make sure phone batery is at least more than 10%, otherwise don't have enough power for flashing process, ignore the 50% req'd).
2. Run your PCC, hit support and then repair - follow the steps, it should ran by itshelf.
3. PCC will ask you to hold vol.down+plugin usb.. do it. It should say downloading ... and when done, your phone now should be back to stock.
Good luck - hope it works for you.

Did you tried every advice that other users in here gave you? That one with the kernel flashing and then ROM flashing it's actually a good idea.

can i flash kernel using "flashmode" in flash tool ? and where can i find kernel to flash, "fasboot" mode don't work, i think
Open Flashtool, press the lightning button, choose fastboot. Now connect the phone while pressing volume up.
Afterall, if your phone is still dead with the way given above, try to repair it with Sony Update Service (not PC Copanion)
Note that it will wipe your data (internal storage will not be wipe)
if u really wanna keep your data, maybe u can backup with update service
I hope you guys can help me revive my xperia S.
I have a strange problem with my phone and can't seem te fix it myself.
I can't boot my phone anymore.
I can get it into flash (green led) and fastboot mode (blue led) and can flash it, but without success.
If I connect my phone to the charger I only get a red led but it doesn't seem to charge.
The phone is recognized in windows and I can lock and unlock my bootloader and see the phone information.
but when I push the power button the only thing that happens is a green led for a second but nothing else.
what rom?
i had the same problem, the only way for me was
flash the stock rom and then root.
This is what emma tells me
Xperia S JB 4.1.2 (build 6.2.B.1.96)
I have been searching for a stock rom, but can't find it.
Do you have a link ?

i think you're flashing an incorrect firmware for your bootloader.
plz download this stock rom and test again

if you connect in flashmod, the led is green and stay green?
I can flash this one, but without any change.
When I push the power button the green led flashes just once.
But the enclosure where the cpu is located is getting a little warm, so I think it is doing something.

the green led must stay green.
you use win 8/win 8.1?
you must install the flashboot and fastboot driver.
I found this video
youtube.com/watch?v=gMra0hrZEfk
and it works
The flash ended successful so I don't think there is anything wrong with the drivers but the problem still stays.
when I push the powerbutton only the green led flashes one time nothing else.
But I think it's doing something, beceause the cpu is getting warm.
Is there a hardware diagnose tool for windows ?
