Every time i go to install [ROM][March10][Kitkat] Beanstalk | Release 3.5 | bravo the install in recovery "succeeds".
When I reboot from recovery, I see the screen for a split second, then a few lines of horizontal color and then it goes black. I can see that it is backlit because of the slight glow. I have no control and end up pulling the battery and restoring from a backup.
Recovery: TWRP Version 2.6.3.0
I had this problem with Release 2 but kept trying and it finally took. Doesn't seem to want to go this time..
Try updating to my newer twrp build.

Others are having this issue as well. I think my recovery is too close to the max size allowed on the recovery partition.
Im going to try to trim it down and rebuild in a few minutes.
In the meantime you could try using 4ext recovery. Its always very reliable for me.
Thanks. I'll give it a try when I get some time.

This is very strange indeed.
I never was able to get either Beanstalk 3.5 or TWRP 2.7 to load up. I follow your build threads and saw that you released Beanstalk 4.
I decided to try and flash it, using TWRP v 2.6.3.0 and surprisingly it worked without a hitch.
Dirty flashed to 4.5 and it's running awesome now.
I've flashed quiet a few ROM's and I've never experienced this kind of thing before. I tried to install 3.5 at least.....5 times without success.
I'm just happy it worked with this version. Excellent ROM!
Just figured I'd post this for some info and closure on this thread.
Thanks for your help. Keep up the fantastic work.

Hi,
I have ported this awesome theme that was originally created by yoe_cu all credit for the creation of this theme goes to him. All I have done is port the theme so it can be used on our phones.
Please make sure sure you do a nandroid before applying.
All of the normal warnings apply, flash this at your own risk I will accept no responsibility if your phone breaks.
The theme needs to be flashed via CWM 3.0.0.5 and will only only work on CM7 RC1. I recommend wiping cache and wiping dalvik before flashing.
If you have another theme installed either via the built in theme chooser or another flashable theme re-flash RC1 before applying the theme. During my testing I found if I had another theme installed i got boot loops.
This is the first time I have done anything like this that I have felt like releasing, everything works for me but please feel free to let me know if there is anything I have done incorrectly. I would like to port more themes as when I have the time, I have my eye on the one I'm planning on doing next. If anyone has any themes they would like me to have a look at please PM me with the links.
Because this is not my theme I will not be updating it unless the original theme gets a significant update. and then it will only be if I have time.

Hey wonderful people of XDA,
I picked up an S3 yesterday and rooted it no problem. I can install ICS roms fine, but CWM errors out when trying to flash a JB rom (I have included a pic to show exactly what I mean)
It is a Telus S3, but from what I've experienced before with rooting, AT&T should work as well. However, correct me if I am wrong.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Read that. It talks about error 7, although they said they fixed it. The first time I tried to flash AOKP that happened and I just rewiped everything and tried again and it worked.
Thank you! I'll check it out
I had same problem I just updates to 5.8.4.7 and it worked fine, make sure to fully wipe

Hi. This is a little tool I made to simplify the flashing of Kernels and Recoveries.
Alternatively it will also copy the boot.img and save it in the archive folder for later. You can also label the boot images.

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Usage:
Drag the .img you want to flash onto where it says "Drag file here", it can be in any folder!
Pick Kernel/Recovery
Click Flash. (Make sure your phone is in fastboot mode)
Download
http://yarr.ntg.cx/pub/dragnflash-0.4-release.zip Version 0.4 (newest)
Old versions
http://www.mediafire.com/?eus6riunvib5n9u (V0.2)
Would be cool if you could check it out.
Ideas and feedback is welcome.
Sounds great will test it with the next rom update of my rom I am using. Thanks man will provide feedback once done.

That's weird. I turned off UPX which seems to have caused some troubles in my EasyFlasher builds. Let me look into this.
EDIT:
ESET seems to be a little sore because the source code is encrypted before it is compiled.

I will upload a non-obfusctated build tomorrow which should resolve this strange issue.
So I was about to install CM10 in my One V. I'll try to describe exactly everything I did. It's my first time flashing a ROM, so I was following these instructions http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1918100 since they're the only detailed instructions I could find. I was using the latest CM10 from maxween http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1996761 (CM10 2012-12-08).
Since Maxween states that the boot.img is in the ZIP, I went on to extract the boot.img from the CM10-20121208.zip. I booted into HBOOT, plugged my phone and went into FASTBOOT USB. I went on to flash the boot.img

Following mattxhtc's instructions, I tried to booting up the phone to check the kernel version (note that I didn't unplug the phone from the computer), and now the phone won't boot up. It goes up to the HTC ONE animation, the jingle suddenly cuts off and the screen stays stuck there. I can still restart the phone and go into HBOOT. I tried restoring using a Nandroid backup but the problem is still present. I'm currently trying to restore it once again. Any help? Where did I mess up?
EDIT: The restore just finished and the problem is still present!
EDIT2: I tried following mattxhtc's instructions again and flashed boot-TK-USB-CM10-201209091500.img from his guide, and the problem is still present... Help please, I'm freaking out!

I haven't flashed the CM10 ROM yet, from I can gather, I flashed the kernel first when I should have flashed the ROM first and then the kernel? Following the instructions in there and continuing with the installation of CM10 should solve my problem, then. I'm going to do that and report back.
EDIT: What do you know, it worked! Now I'm running CM10. Thank you kind friend!
just FYI - custom kernel will not work on sense and you will end up in a boot loop. Only titanium kiss works on sense.

Okay, the stock google bootanimation was really bugging me because the pattern does not do a full 360-degree rotation. so, i fixed it. see preview below:

my fixed version:
if you can't see the difference, you don't have OCD about little details like i do
see attachments for download.
bootanimation.zip is just the boot animation file if you want to push it to your system partition manually.
google_bootanim_fixed_flashable.zip is flashable via TWRP or CWM.
enjoy!
Before it worked on 4.3, but now on 4.4 don't work. Fix it, please
Ha, now that someone else brought it up, I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that with the stock animation. Nice job.

Thank You! That bugged the hell out of me.
Great Job
I didn't even notice it until I saw this post, now I have to make sure it's fixed! lol
Although I have noticed that every third "blink" the animation freezes for a second or two. I'm running Shiny ROM 4.4 (KK4.4.2).
It's not working on 4.4 slimkat.
Since I think it might work on other ROM's, so nice job.
Thanks a lot. So simple but so nice

Thanks alot for this but it freezes a couple of times on every boot. What could be causing this?
