[Q] Black Screen when incoming call (CM 10)
Hello everyone,
I've been having this issue since i switched from stock ROM to CyanogenMod 10.
When there is an incoming call on my phone, screen doesn't wake up, stays black (dark),doesn't light up, so I can't see who is trying to reach me and i also can't accept or decline the phonecall.
I've searched the internet, xda forum mostly, and i've found this thread

Same issue, and moreover, one of the users mentioned.
"It has been fixed, see the custom CM10 thread. I don't have this issue anymore."
So i've search the thread which has been advised, but couldn't find the proper answer for this bug.
Can somebody advise ? Thanks a lot.

Hi All,
I have posted this query already, but didnt get a reply. So thought of re-phrasing the title.
Whenever I receive a phone call, the screen doesnt have the panel with the option of turning on the speaker phone, hold, mute, calendar etc.
But when I make a call, it looks fine.
I am running on the stock rom with 6.5 thats available in Asia.
Does any of you have this problem or can you let me know what the issue would be?

HTC desire freeze/hang after receiving a voice call.
When I receive a voice call then I see following strange behavior:
- Ring tone goes, but it stops after a few seconds.
- I can answer the call, but when the call is ended then my phone hangs/freezes.
=> I have to remove the battery...
Are there people with the same problem? Or is this already posted somewhere with cause and fix?
I'm using the oxygen ROM on my phone, but I also saw this with CM MOD7.
I have a screen protector foil on my phone, is this the cause? (I read this somewhere).
I can't remember that I had this problem with the RUU rom.

Every beautiful rom tried, ended up with freezes or black screens. Phone does not ring, even if the caller sounds like it would.
Saw this tip here, which I have not tried yet, but I will do.
My phone is a pvt4 and some guys (I hope you not see this as politics) here have a strong dislike for rom manager.

So, I am flashing know and report back in a few days. (Usually first days things seems right, but after a while I end up with a useless phone, flashing back to ugly RUU.
I will use (AmonRA Recovery image) with unrevoked and then re-try flashing RevolutioN.xMas.Edition.v3.0.A2SD2B-signed
My brother has the similar problem
He finds his Desire GSM screen black, and not reacting to the buttons. he has to remove the battery and turn the phone on. this is happening on recieving calls and on custom roms, as we saw, on any rom that we tried. it's not happening on stock rom, but we want to have an solution where he isn't limited with the internal space.
i look in the forum, but does someone have and advice how to use stock rom with enlarged space? like stok rom with app2sd or another similar rom (maybe i didn't write the names correctly)

I have gotten a major problem the latest weeks. When I get an incoming call sometimes, the screen flashes to and from the "incoming call screen" (you know with the answer button) to the wallpaper. Which means I can't answer that call. Also, if I poke around too much while I have this problem on a call, the phone just reboots.
However, I may have a suspect. I am running faux007u. I am not whining here, just wondering if that may be the cause? If so I'll just try his m version or go back to stock
The reason for me writing this instead of just re-flashing the kernel an await the problem is because it would be nice to know if anyone else have had this problem.

First of all I am a new member here on XDA forums and that is why I am asking you guys here since I really can't post on the actual ROM threads.
But anyway, what are the known bugs for the VJ CM10.1 Jelly Bean 4.2.2 ROM?
I am currently having problems with the ring tone and the loudspeaker option. Ring tone for the notification for Messaging does not play when I have received a message, I still have no idea why it is doing that.
As for the loud speaker, after a while it toggles off the loud speaker. It usually occurs when the display goes to sleep; I am not sure if it is supposed to turn the display off while on a call.

Version 5.4.1 seems to have fixed notification sound and soft reboot issue. If you're on older version, suggest you to upgrade.
Other than that stock camera flickers (you can open, close and re-open to fix this) or use any alternatives from play store. Video recording is choppy.
Everything else should be fine as far as I know.
I flashed this rom yesterday, after three months with Nikez's JB. It's great.
I don't have problem with notification sounds, volume or whatever. But I just had the infamous "SIM added. Restart your device etc..." bug.
If you can deal with it (I can), it's a great ROM.
I have a call delay problem, I need to wait for 1 to 5 sec before start talking. Sometimes notification bar gets stuck, it starts working again after a while, but once I waited for more than 1h and decided to reboot phone. Also menu sometimes doesn't show up for random period of time.
That is all I noticed for now. I use 5.4.1.
One more bug - sometimes data access over mobile network doesn't work. I try to switch on, but do not get any network availability. Calls/SMS work, but there is no Internet connectivity. When I select automatic automatic network selection, then Internet starts to work imediateley.
Anyhow, this ROM is awesome! Thanks VJ!

After using CyanogenMod 7 and a infinity loop, I decided to use this ROM, and ... is working like a charm. However some videos that worked in CM7 are not working here. Had to install MX Player. Have I missing something or do I need to install some codecs? Even the preview on gallery are not working for some videos.

I noticed when someone calls me its silent delay for like few seconds caller cant hear me and reverse.
Is this problem for all JB Roms or just on CM ,because i noticed that on AOKP to.
I am having problems with Clock location and also with downloading language pack for swype.
Use the thread in general section that VJ opened to discuss this. You'll get better responses.
Or even better, post in the main thread in the dev section.

Hi, everyone.
So I've flashed the RR rom with magisk and OpenGApps on my Z2 play. Everything was working fine, but a week ago I experienced some kind of glitch. When I'm receiving a call the phone vibrates, but I can't pick the call up because it is not showing up anywhere. Similar with outgoing calls, once I press "call", the phone gives out dialing tone, but is still in contacts section without anything in notification bar. Could anyone help? This is really getting on my nerves, because I can neither pick up nor drop calls, not even talking about other things (speaker, mute, keypad etc.)

You flashed the RR 9? I had a similar problem with the gsi roms.

i have the same issue and i´m on stock oreo. i find the call appears if you open the phone app, then the "return to call in progress" dialog appears and by selecting that it shows the incoming call screen and you´re able to pick up. super annoying as i can´t see who´s calling or pickup until i do what´s written above. i cleared the phone app cache but didn´t sole, hope pie will solve this thing
