go to recovery mode by pressing vol. down + power button then press vol. down then vol. up button now select backup user data then upload that file here… :fingers-crossed:

That user data is just a backup of your setting and other things. It does not backup your system. Sorry for my bad english.

i bricked my mi 436 so, I tried to flash my mi 436 with flashtool by downloading the rom from following link but as mentioned in the comments on that page i flashed it successfully but it does not start im stuck on start up screen with half screen B&W lines and half with yellow spice logo! please don't flash using this link.
I have downloaded from here/
So My confusion is that the files i used to flash my phone looks almost same as the files on the link that you have given. So i wanna know if this Flash file does work ?

1) make sure you are on .116 firmware (if not then flash and turn on phone and complete basic start up setting)

i think there is no change in system and framework files so you can flash this zip
i have been using the same zip on new version since the day i updated and no issue at all
about doing new update's deodex it not too long to launch 4.4.4 and as that is change i will do deodex

do i need to wipe data and factory reset before flashing this

[Q] Desire 816G CM11 port

I read the tutorial about porting from same MTK processor to same MTK processor like 6589 to 6589
Desire 816G is a MTK 6582 and the android one phones , the micromax ,karbonn and spice are MTK 6582 phones too.
The android one series got CM 11
so i was thinking if it could be ported to the Desire 816G

Yes ive ported it but i dont have a desire 816g now i gave it to my father and im scared to try it out cause there is no emergency reboot on that phone and you need to drain the battery to fix a bootloop , i have it built if you want to test say and ill upload but i wont test it myself

Cynogenmod roms cannot be installed by cwm recovery.You will have to install other recovery like twrp.

However I cannot install cynogen on 816(snapdragon 400) and micromax canvas hd(mediatek) via cwm.

You can power down device by the following key combination and the come back to the recovery mode selection screen if your device is in boot loop.
First, press all the 3 buttons i.e. Vol up + vol down + power. Then when the devices shuts down use the key combination of launching recovery mode i.e. Vol down + power immediately or else it goes back to boot screen.

Please fix the mounting of internal storage in the cwm for 816g. Would be really helpful.

What's working:
Everything for daily use like.
Call feature.
Both sims (any sim can be set 4g/3g now).
Camera/ Video recording.

What's not working:
Nothing really... But you may face some lag or minor bugs after all its a custom ROM.
Only encountered issue so far is torch.

All 4 cores of CPU is not being utilized.

I have added basic gapps playstore play services, gmail and google keyboard as default input. You can install the others from play store or using google installer for miui.

Is it only me or the download link does not work ?

No. It's deodexed..
Size is small because i have removed a few chinese apps.
Plus it contains minimal gapps.

@Frank782 and @ArjunrambZ see if u can fix the torch issue though its not much needed but.....
