after mods my Fame to Techno .. My account samsung cannot to sync with my HH .. help me! what wrong?
It may be an issue with this ROM. Report it on the Techno thread to get feedback. I also found D my Samsung G account didn't synch and last night found I could no longer use my cellphone as a portable hotspot for my internet, so I had to go back to a stock rom and strip out the bloatware.

Easy enough to fix, just go into settings and sync and make sure all that you want to SYNC is ticked (let me know if you need more detailed answer)

I recently had to flash my phone back to stock firmware and I lost the Samsung IM app... I have searched high and low to find it.
Does anyone know where it can be downloaded? I am sure it came with an update to Social Hub, but I dont even see that in the Samsung Apps Market.

go into Samsung Apps in your phone
then refresh, then it will show up
then install
then setup your accounts
then use IM
done

never knew that samsung had a default messenger program installed on the galaxy s. I remove most of the samsung programs when i install a new firmware.
Too bad this messenger comes with Samsung mail. only wanted the messenger app
Disable translating IM function

Please tell me if somehow it's possible to disable the translating function of IM?
I looked in settings/translate but only it can do is to change the translating languages. It's very helpfully for me to disable it.

Hello I followed one of the guides here to clean to bloat off my phone ... I like to stream movies to my phone but is anyone using EI22 (current stock) ... any help would be awesome ... I tried a few of the apks around the web but they error out on me .....

Seeing you mention the bloatware
Is there an updated guide for bloatware removal. Most of the guides that I have found have either a safe to remove, unknown, or not safe. Also, alot of the files are either no longer there, not listed at all, or the names have changed drastically or status has changed( unsafe to safe mostly)
Thats true i was going by trial and error to be honest just my Dlna got currupted ... I dont think i unmounted my sd right ... now I am in need of the Facebook one ... I just flashed to the ACS Ver 5 and Dlna and Facebook isnt there I liked it for my contact updates ... but i am getting around that with syncmypix but its nice to get updated numbers from Facebook

Facebook app is in the market.
see my problem is i used to sync my contacts with facebook ... I did download that from the market I goto contacts and I can add my google account but now I dont see how to add my fb account to grab my contacts extra information like before

Go to settings, accounts and sync and add account, then choose Facebook.
Yea ive rebooted 2x and still nothin its good tho haha ... I got a backup of my contacts before i went to acs 5

Is the option there? Sometimes it takes a few hours to sync the contact pix.

The sns*.apks may have been removed from your ROM.
If that is the case, you won't be able to add a Facebook account in the accounts and sync settings.

samsung dive apk? . You need to go to accounts & sync in the settings menu, create a samsung account then log into that account via your pc

Look for all the apk's related to Samsung Dive.
By the way, I read (I think around this forum) it is not possible to install apk's from stock room in AOSP custom roms, so if you have CyanogenMod or MIUI its probably not possible to go back to Samsung Dive. There are other options anyway .

It has many interesting features such as it runs almost invisible on the phone (the app is only accessible from the dialler), remote lock via sms, HARD RESET PROTECTION (root), etc..

Strange ... if one take a look at this applications list of Permissions ... SMS and Location (GPS) are missing. How can this application send SMS and link to map with location without those permissions ???

ok i noticed that.. it probably need a paid version for those features to work.. because the app itself is just an installer not the actual apk, not sure what are the actual permissions it requires..

Have you tried flashing the GB gaps package? It can be found in FXP CM7 thread, should sort your issue out let me know how you go!
in China,we could not used Google services,so usually we delete them by oneself.
so you should add Google services which we had delete.
hey dude i have a way to make Google market work on ristricted countries because i live in syria and i use it all the time
if you need it pm and i will tell it to you
i don't wanna share so that google won't find a workaround

Hi Guys,
Got my shiny new Note2 (Gray color) today ans rooted it as well , I am sunning Apex launcher and using the stock email application I have configured my 2 email accounts which are my Yahoo and exchange email, however like in GB and ICS if you go under shortcut you will get an option to add a shortcut for your email acount I am not getting it anymore.
All I want to be able to do is that make an Icon represnting each email account and keep it on desktop so that I can access them with one click
Please suggest the possible way/workarounds

The same here. I tryed to install AOSP Email but if it solved the shortcut issue it also has an issue with the sent mail folder: it shows the from field (myself!!!) for all messages....

Sorry, no real help from me on this one either, but have you considered using an alternate email app?
Personally, I'd recommend K-9 Mail.

I have the same issue. I had my Galaxy S1 with rooted ICS, and even in the stock version there was option to create those shortcuts. The problem for me is that i use 4-5 email accounts. And without those shortcuts its hard to monitor ,and its easy to get lost from which account are you sending back email.
Maybe its possible to install email apk from ICS ? Any one got the .apk file ?

I've just upgraded from an S3 to a Note II and I've noticed this too.
I wonder if it's because I'm using the Hong Kong FW that came with it. I notice it's missing other shortcuts too, like Mono Audio Toggle.
Very annoying. Oh well.

Unfortunately this is not country related...i had a workaround...using titanum backup:
1. back-up apex launcher installed on my s3 (gestures adn link to emai laccounting wrking properly)
2. restore on my Note II
It works!
The issue is when you remove ana account...it does no longer work, eeven if you restore the account.
It would be nice if we could copy the link and make it available in al the devices without have installed apex launcher...

Same issue with I9505. The workaround (restore I9300 APEX backup) works like a charm.
