ARC S cyanogenmod (locked bootloader)

Hi guys
I want to install cyanogenmod, but i read that i have to unlock the bootloader, but i bought my phone some weeks ago and dont want to lose the warranty.
Is there a new way to install a rom with a locked bootloader?
When not, can someone tell me good roms for my phone?

to unlock bootloader even if you lose warranty ...yes this is possible for your phone
in fact for certain releases of these phone models :

you have to flash a stock-based ROM if you do not want to unlock bootloader
this case is the same- you lose warranty
look here for stock-based ROMs
never flash a ROM not made for your phone

yes you get the point !
I understand your frustration
but there are plans to release an official ICS for this phone check Sony site or by PC Companion
in this case you will never lose warranty and ICS is very good for your... in fact amazing Arc S phone :good:

yes you can flash an unrooted stock-ROM before you send it to service ..
how about if you have a hardware failure ?

But arconium (stock-based rom) also recomendeds Unlocked bootloader.
The point why i dont have to root my phone is that i can flash back to an unrooted firmware and then i think the support wont know that i rooted my phone ( i hope so )

I like that you really want Cyanogen on your phone
me to I made a custom rom for my phone here
this rom has Cyanogen Launcher just because I like this OS
nope no chance to have Cyangoen without an unlocked bootloader
there are little chances to find one to work without S-off
It's something about base address of the kernel/protected bootloader/encryption something like this.. You have to assume the risks if you want it !

I think I have read, that I can flash a Xperia S Kernel on my Acro S. It will work but I will loose external SD Card support - is that right?

Hi to all,,
I new here in this site and am planning to modify my Xperia ION LT28H with PureION Kitkat feeling.
Can you please help me to modify my phone step by step cause am kinda scared to brick my phone and this is my first time to do modification.
Model Number: LT28H
Version: 4.1.2
Build No.: 6.2.B.0.211

First,you will need to root your phone over here
Then if you want to install 4.4.2 ROM,you will need to backup TA here
Last,unlock the bootloader,visit here... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2242749

The user wants a rooting method for Sony Xperia Ion of build number 6.2.B.0.211 , not Sony Xperia S/SL of build number 6.2.B.1.96 and ROM's for Sony Xperia Ion, not Sony Xperia S.

well after all guide i try, got my LT28H blank screen, not powering on and only i got red light when wall charge or pc charge

How to root my xperia z1 compact docomo version (japan z1f).
My build number is 14.3.B.0.310
I do not know how to root. Is there a simple way? I want to root it so that I can use the generic rom and try it since this docomo rom, I am stuck in Roaming.
