so I just recently rooted my s4 m919 to the VirginROM - Google Play Edition ROM and I tend to lose signal a lot. Everything works great but I was wondering if there is wifi calling because I tend to use that a lot at home and when I do not have service. Is there a kernel or something for this?

I have tried alot of the different roms for my s3. Which jellybean rom has wifi calling and free bulit in tethering? I have tried some roms when I try to tether it goes "you account does not have tethering". Soem rom let me tether fine. WIFI calling is s must. Can anyone point me to a ROM that has both without going back to ICS.
Any Touchwiz ROM will have WiFi calling.

Thank you

I'm sure this question gets asked a lot, but I'm trying to decide if I should keep my Nexus 5, which has no WiFi calling, or switch it back during the buyers remorse period for a Note 3.
I only get 2G in my area, and I get no signal inside my house; I have to set my phone in the window. My wife has the Note 3 and WiFi calling works, but I absolutely hate TouchWiz. I much prefer the default Google experience through and through. I realize I could flash a custom ROM, to get away from TouchWiz, but from reading around all the ROMs that support WiFi calling are TouchWiz based. Is there no possibility to get something like PAC, Slim or Paranoid running with WiFi calling?

Correct, you wont see Wifi calling on an AOSP rom.
Why don't you just use a launcher. I use Apex. It's smooth and has allot of themes.

It seems like I can either get a 4.4 rom I really like or a 4.3 rom I don't care for but has wifi calling.

All 4.4 roms are AOSP based and wifi calling does not work on AOSP ROMs. Android KitKat 4.4 has not yet released for our phones and you will have to wait until then to be on 4.4 and have wifi calling.
I highly suggest getting GrooveIP. It provides wifi calling through a Google Voice account.

Currently use a Nexus 5 and waiting to see if Android L brings native T-Mobile Wi-Fi calling. Also thinking of the Nexus 6 if that might include wi-fi calling on T-Mobile. I know hangouts will do wi-fi calling through GV, but I'm not interested in that at the moment. I think the next best option for me if Android L doesnt bring native wifi calling to the N5 or N6, would be the G3 on T-Mobile but I hate the carrier bloat. Are there any stock roms that remove all of this and keep the wi-fi calling?

No. The G3 has nearly no bloat...just need to kill CarrierIQ with a flash. Wifi calling is a TMO exclusive and you must buy the TMO version of the phone.

Id also like to get rid of the skin and just use something like an AOSP rom. Is that possible?
I'm looking for ROMs for the Samsung GS4 (SGH-M919)
I understand that any ROM with Wi-Fi Calling support is going to be TouchWiz based, and pretty close to stock. That is OK, I'm just trying to create a list of the available options.
Is there any way to formulate a search on this board that would identify candidate ROMs that support Wi-Fi Calling? Or has anyone compiled a list? It would be great if there was some type of tag (like WFC) that was universally used that could help with searches.
I am aware of WarpDrive <http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2682608>. Are there any others?

If you just want to get rid of bloat you can uninstall almost every app without root. Just a fyi gs4 roms will not work and tmobile has had native wifi calling for quite some time.
I've got mine rooted and have removed all the bloat. Very minimal skin imo and with a little theming the g3 looks pretty close to stock. They have their features but I feel as if they aren't as intrusive and don't change the overall feel. Get the Tmobile based g3 and you've got something very close to stock and wifi calling. I love it and like the g3 skin with the speedscript, g3 tweak box, and an android L theme. Like it better than aosp surprisingly. But that is just one man's opinion.

I don't think you know how wifi calling works. Wifi calling comes exclusive with all t mobile phones. You don't need android l to get wifi calling, what you need is a t mobile phone. Doesn't matter what t mobile phone you pick they all come with that feature
I researched this a while back. Wifi calling as a term is a confusing one with a variety of interpretations. However, the TMO interpretation is key here and unfortunately for the OP, it's not good news:
T-Mobile's flavor of wifi calling is a proprietary add-on. Put simply, if you are on TMO and want wifi calling, you need the official TMO ROM on that phone. Maybe this will change as we see more carriers introduce this tech next year.
Regarding bloat wear, I have to say I don't think LG has put much bloat on this phone and what crap there is, is minimal compared to the power of the phone itself. But that is subjective and based on my experience of several custom ROMs and always going back to stock.
I've tried both LineageOS and Pixel Experience but can't get Wi-Fi calling to work with T-Mobile pre-paid.
The only ROM that works is the stock ROM.
I've read on-line that that custom ROMS for the Nexus 5X is very hit or miss on Wi-Fi calling.
Anyone know of any custom ROMs that work with T-Mobile pre-paid Wi-Fi calling?
