[Q] want some info about ics kernel...

is it possible to make an ics kernel for sgy to work with CM9 or AOKP roms...
or we can use any Gingerbread kernel like Merruk Technology 2.0 kernel to compile CM9 or AOKP for sgy...
what feature are needed to run ICS that couldn't found in stock GB rom from SGY?
Actually, the 2.6.x.x series of Linux kernels works fine with ics, so there is no need for a 3.x.x.x kernel.
Although if you are interested we could make a team and compile it
well i say go for it if it has more benefits than bugs tat are gona hopefully be fixed eventually

[Q] Which kernel should i flash for Miui Official

Hi guys !
Sorry for noobing but i just wanna know what kernel should i use with Official Miui v5 on Note 2 i7100 (or v4 if it's more stable than v5) ?
I also want to know exactly wich version is good to flash, the best for you ?
I think some friends recommend me NEAK but i can't remember !
Thanks in advance !
Cheers !
It depends on what miui is based on..
Some of them is based on samsung rom
Some is based on aosp
If based on samsung (mostly you'll have most of samsung features) then I recommend perseus or saberkernel
If based on aosp then yea NEAK kernel is nice. But if you want OC then you should see other kernel like redpill
Sent from my GT-N7100
Don't really care about OC
BTW, what miui version can you recommend to me ?
Cheers !

What Rom Are U Using ? :D

Hello guys so i open this threat just for people can comment what rom they are using, and meaby discust which one is better , so if u want to share with us your rom feel free to comment below
BTW hers my Rom : 4.2.2 beta 3 by acro- the most stable ever
I use growl v6 with kernel 3.67 madridi, super smooth and my battery lasts longer.
Pacman rom has every options that I need, but its unusable because of too much lags (maybe eats a lot of RAM).
Carbon is usable and smooth with 3.70 madridi kernel, but growl I think fits my needs.
Cyanogenmod 10.2 alpha 4 with stock kernel

I've been using CM9 EOL + Hurky Kernel..
its so good.. good performance and battery..
CM9 eol odexed + latest stock kernel
CM11 by arco
CM11 by arco. This is the best rom ever.
I used to flash every single update Sir Arco dished out (CM9 -> CM10 -> CM10.1). I used CM10.1 beta 1 for a very long time. It's a great rom, the extra features and smoothness was great however my battery life was abysmal for some reason (I go pristine before each flash. It was great until RC8, but the battery life dropped significantly after RC9). I figured I don't use the JellyBean features much (Google Now is great, but it's a battery and memory hog for a low specced device such as ours) so I went back to CM9 EOL with Hurtsky's REV9 kernel, deleted the apps I don't frequently use like facebook, tango and viber, and now I have a super smooth device with a battery that lasts about 1.5 days with moderate use ^_^
hello
hello i am andreas from cyprus. after damaging my second htc one x i ended up the samsung wonderer until i buy the N5...

[Solved!] MIUI5 v3.3.1 b2 sutck on loading launcher

i installed MIUI5 v3.3.1 b2 by cosmicdan and after the setup im stuck on loading launcher and if fc and tried again but continues to freeze
status update..
the rom only gives issues with lupus kernel, only seems to work with Turbo kernel
why don't you use MIUI v5 from Smokerman.. or even Maxworks .. the latest versions.. they seem to do fine.. all JB are heavy.. and All MIUI on JB are even heavier..
am waiting for MIUI v6 Kit Kat Based.. lighter and faster than GB ..

nope i love this one, i got it up and running. this is the best miui 5 i have ever used! only thing i need to fix the camera and music thats it. iv never seen miui 5 so fast on my phone before and it can actually game a little bit. and the best part it has stage 1 XLoud! this was thought to be impossible but then again cosmicDan is a xperia God! lol
i would love to see miui v6 but were having trouble even getting bare minimum KitKat to run, that could take a along time

On second thought after some configuring maxworks miui v5 is good, but im still testing the best settings combo for the setup. and i will need to port CosmicDans sound Xloud mod to maxworks rom (for personal use of course)
