News and Weather App (Geniewidget.apk)

So, the Note II does not come with the stock News and Weather app.
I've tried to install following directions from different threads with no luck.
Has anyone been able to install it on their Note II?

SGH-M919V (vs) SHG-M919?

Hi everyone, I'm never in this section of the forum since I own a SGH-I337M and I'm in the ATT/CAN forum most of the time. A friend of mine is looking to install a custom recovery and rom on his SGH-M919V (Videotron) and I'm not sure where to start, so I'm looking into this for him.
Since I have no background on this particular device and, being a "Canadian" version of the T-Mobile phone, what is the difference between the SGH-M919V and the SHG-M919? Which ROM is compatible, which recovery?
I'm not sure how to root/install a recovery and which ROM to look for his device. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, but that other thread is about the I337/I337M device and not the M919V... And I'm almost sure that they are not identical.

Is the phone rooted? Looks like chainfire's autoroot works. Then flash cwm for the m919.

People have successfully flashed Wicked on the m919v. I'm sure most of the m919 ROMs work however. Just keep the Canadian modem.

Thanks for the info, I'll look into this. I'm just not sure if the M919 is the same as the M919V... and if roms/recovery can be the same on both platforms...
