Hello, I am hoping someone can help, since I'm really hoping to use cm11. When I flash cm11, it works fine, but then within a few days I lose data and gps.
The only way to get them back is to flash back to nexogen 1.7 stock rom.
Also, I have tried the suggestion of using cm 10.2 (stable), but it NEVER works. Every time I try to flash it, I get com.android.phone has stopped over and over and over again...
Thanks!
Maybe you're flashing the wrong rom. You said you have a sprint edition. This phone is different to the verizon/international version. Try find a rom for the ls970 which I believe is the sprint OG

Basically everything is in the title. My wifi just doesn't work, I can't connect anywhere! using a lot of data on things that I could really be using wifi for. I've tried different rom's including the latest nightly cm7, the problem started on nightly 48 latest being 50. I'm now using miui and the problem still occurs. Anyone got any idea?

Look like every roms not work with WIFI for you and is this only issues from custom rom? Have you wipe the data/cache in your quest of finding the root cause? How about retail untouch stock rom.
Before sending it back to the store for repair. Could you try flashing retail stock rom to your Defy original state and wipe it in stock recovery. See if it work again and report back.
I assumed you know all the steps of downgrading, flashing and recovery things yourself.
So my GPS on T999 is no longer owrking. I have tried re-installing the current ROM. Installing other ROMs, everything, but I just can't get the phone to lock onto a SAT! It is really frustrating now as I need it really bad about a week ago and couldn't get out of the downtown lol.
CUrrently I am on the Aeon Fluxx ROM but the GPS did NOT work on the FROSTY, BLACK JELLY, AOKP, CM Nightlies, or ANY other ROMs anymore.
I have used GPS Status to reset A-GPS and then re-download the A-GPS data to no avail.
Any suggestions folks?
I believe there is already a thread about precisely this. Was posted maybe a week ago.
Also there's this one

Thanks a lot guys. I love the quick help from this community. When I get off work tonight, hopefully I can get it to work properly!
I have tried 3 different CM based 4.3 ROMs. All of them won't recognize the SIM card or access camera. I had wiped system and formatted internal for good clean install. Any ideas?
Have you tried odining back to stock and starting over?
I'm running the latest nightly and don't have those problems.

That would be the next thing I guess but don't have time to today. Don't have problems with a stock based ROM like Alpha. Thank you.
Another thought someone had in Liquid thread was I needed to update CWM recovery. When I have the time to mess with it again I will post results.
I flashed the Super Nexus ROM on my Optimus g, and now I can't seem to get a GPS lock. After using FasterGPS, I can get a triangulation, but after trying to actually navigate on GPS, it's always miles off and doesn't update more than once per few minutes.
Has anybody else had this problem with other ROMs?

I had this same exact issue today. My fault for not fully testing the rom before trying to use as a daily driver. I was late to an important meeting.thanks to not having gps.
For now, I reverted back to stock from a TWRP backup, which seems to have no gps issues. I really want to go back to a Kitkat rom, but wondering is this s Supernexus thing or something I can avoid by flashing supernexus over my working stock rom (updated PRL).

Apparently this is an issue with all AOSP roms. Sometimes, the GPS just doesn't work. This can be fixed by flashing back the stock rom, getting a GPS lock, then restoring (or reflashing) your AOSP rom. I'm running CM11 now, and after fixing my GPS (which I did on SuperNexus), I haven't had it break after about 3 nightlies and the Milestone 4 flash.
I have rooted my phone about two months ago and in between those two months I've gone through several Roms. At first my default was C-ROM then I switched to CM11 to Carbon ROM to Wanam lite 4.1.2 ROM to likewise galaxy S5 then back to CM11 to Nameless and finally realized the best is Carbon ROM . so now I'm running carbon ROM 4.4.4 everything's great except no sound or videos playing. I can't even hear my notifications and when I try to play a video on YouTube it goes straight to the end same with Instagram and even my own videos. I read somewhere it might be because I downgraded my android os without using Odin. Please someone help!!?!??!

Its not because you downgraded. Did you try a fresh install of the ROM with a full wipe?
Sorry to get back so late I've been surfing the web trying to find a solution I see a lot of people having the same problem and the solution says they reset there phones but I've tried before nothing happens. Yes I have reflashed my rom and even tried flashing other Roms.

What about flashing back to stock?
I'd say best bet is Odin back to full stock and factory reset. (You will lose internal sd data so back it up.)
Then start fresh with your preferred recovery and rom.
